I love the Practical DevSecOps Institute courses, as they strike the perfect balance between theory and practice, plus they have labs featuring different technologies.
I've currently taken CDP, CDE, CTMP, CSSE, and CCNSE, and all of them have provided me with a wealth of knowledge that the industry currently demands.
CSSE, in particular, is a course that complements other courses such as CDP and CDE. It delves into supply chain attacks.The labs focus not only on defense but also hands-on how some attacks are are executed.

I recently completed the DevSecOps Professional certification, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience! The course content was comprehensive and well-structured, covering all essential aspects of integrating security into DevOps practices.

The course coverage on threat modelling is extensive. Includes the various approaches like list, goal (attacker), software based, specific techniques of each approach - STRIDE, both MITRE ATT&CK and CAPEC. Most importantly it teaches techniques and tools useful for threat modelling in today’s agile development paradigm. I believe most people from the course is ready to be productive in promulgating threat modelling g in the digital industry

I pursued the CTMP certification to become a better threat modeler and employ those skills in my current role. The course content was relevant and educational, and the exam was well prepared to help me show mastery of the material. Overall, I felt this was a beneficial effort and would recommend this course to any early career security professional

The materials provide was great , coming for someone that has limited devsecop experience. i gain a lot of experience that have increase my knowlege and skill set. This has help alot in my job.

CDP Training gave me a hands-on experience with different scanning tools like SCA, SAST, DAST. Course videos laid out by segregating complex topic to small chunks, where the beginners like me can easily digest the topic. They followed REVISE, RELEARN, REVIEW concept in the training. That instilled the encouragement to explore more, it made me to finish the course successfully.

One of the standout features of the certification was the hands-on labs. These practical sessions allowed me to apply what I learned in real time, reinforcing my understanding of various tools and techniques used in DevSecOps.

Having an online platform that provisions servers where you can run the commands directly in a real world scenario really helps to solidify what is being taught. The order in which the information is presented helps to build up that knowledge as you start using more and more complex commands and operations, and the level of detail makes it easy to skip through the parts that might be repeated, and have the information you need in the moment that something isn't working. The support team would respond quickly when I would report issues with the content, things like commands that didn't produce the expected results, or information that might not be following industry standard. I experienced a frustration during the exam where the environment reset itself, but the support staff was supportive in providing the resolution needed to get the environment up and running so I could complete the exam within the amount of time needed. The results came in within the 72 hours after the report was submitted and with the help of the notes taken during the labs, I was successful in getting my CDP, which should be an indication that this course is beneficial.

The course covered many topics which was good.

After the expiry of labs, access to lab commands should be given to students. I don't know why the access to commands was also revoked.

More practice sessions and scenarios should be introduced in the course so that students can get a better understanding of attacking comtainers concepts. I would say reduce few topics and introduce more practice sessions. For eg. Incident response and forensics can be removed and instead of that more scenarios on how to attack a container can be introduced.

The course provided me with a structured understanding of integrating security into the DevOps pipeline. I gained hands-on experience with security automation, CI/CD security, and infrastructure as code security. This enabled me to confidently implement security controls earlier in the software development lifecycle, reducing vulnerabilities and improving overall application security.

The course is a really good in depth view of the subject. The support provided throughout is great.

I recently completed my CCSE certification from Practical DevSecOps, and it was a fantastic experience. The course content is well-structured and highly engaging. I really appreciated the learning approach—first understanding the theory and then applying it in the labs. Many of the lab exercises went beyond the theoretical concepts, requiring additional research, which helped reinforce my understanding and build confidence.
With my prior experience in the field, I found the exam questions to be moderately challenging. However, success was largely dependent on how well I prioritized and managed time for the given tasks. Since I work on building platforms based on container technology, the knowledge gained from this course is invaluable in designing solutions with strong security guardrails.
Overall, the course not only introduced me to various tools and techniques but also provided a clear direction on approaching container security from an architectural perspective.

Other Kubernetes Security certifications exist, but what makes the CCNSE certification unique is its comprehensive curriculum that includes hands-on training and 24/7 instructor support, topped off with a challenging exam.
This certification not only teaches you how to assess Kubernetes security but also how to effectively use security tools.
For me, the most interesting aspect was the exam itself: You’ll face 5 challenges over 6 hours and have an additional 24 hours to deliver artifacts and documentation.
As a security expert, you’ll be able to execute a real-world security project.
As a manager or visionary within your company, you will be equipped to propose a security roadmap for your products.
The certification exam was so challenging that it was almost enjoyable to fail and try again! But fortunately, I didn't fail.

I think the best things are the syllabus are properly arranged and easy to follow. The support team is also fantastic in helping me to understand it.
