Warning do not use. A consistent scam with parking fees.
I received a fine after going over by 20 minutes on a four hour ticket after being stuck assisting some children on the water. The first that I knew of it was a 'Second letter' advising me that because I hadn't answered the first letter, the fine had gone up from £40 to £100. I had heard of this scam where they actually don't send the first letter out but have a copy on file and just send the second letter so that the first thing you know is that you have £100 fine. I wrote two letters to the company sent by recorded delivery advising that I hadn't had the first letter and explaining the extenuating circumstances leading to my overstay. I have since found out that they do not answer letters and the next thing I knew was that my fine had been bumped to £170.00 and debt collectors had been appointed. I made contact and had no choice but to pay, as my next fine to be imposed in a few days was going to be £340.00. I was advised that Premier Parking will not answer letters because they can just keep bumping the fine up by not answering the letters and that it is not in their interests for you to settle early or to do anything that expedites your enquires, so that you than pay the increasing level of fines. The payment that they receive from an overstay is 60 times the level of the ticket that you have paid for. The guy who I spoke to told me that they make more money out of doing this than they do from parking fees. I will avoid any Premier Parking sites in the future but if you do get a fine and write in, just be aware that they have no intention of answering you, hoping that the fine leaps up several levels while you wait for your reply.
