SCUMBAGS! Contacted from a fake job advert and requested I pay an expensive amount for a finance course in Accredited Finance Courses Ltd to get a job. Unfortunately, due to my desperation at the time, I ended up using Klarna to finance it, before being completely ghosted. There should be a criminal investigation to this bogus firm.

I was contacted by a recruiter named Alex regarding a Graduate Investment Banking role and completed a pre-screening interview. I was told my profile was strong and that everything was “perfect,” except for a lack of CPD hours.
Alex strongly implied that unless I enrolled in a specific CPD course and shared my student ID, my application could not proceed. Based on this, I enrolled in one of the recommended courses, which was extremely expensive especially as an international student.
After enrolling and following up multiple times (three emails), Alex completely stopped responding. No feedback, no update, no explanation.
This experience was highly disappointing and felt misleading. Encouraging candidates particularly students who are already financially stretched to spend large sums of money and then cutting off communication is unprofessional and unethical.

This company claims to help you get a job in finance. There is no clear indication of the bank or company they are trying to get you into. I had a pre screening call from a guy called ‘Ryan Cruz’ which I believe is not his true name!!! Asking me all the usual interview questions about myself and checking my knowledge about finance etc. He said I was a fantastic fit. Later to find out that I needed to purchase this course costing £600. This was the only way of sending my CV so that I would suit the role. Everything is very vague and their website isn’t real. Which I did. He said I needed to submit my CV which mentions this course is in progress and send a receipt proof that I purchased this course before 4pm. So that he could send it off to the company. Unfortunately, I bought this course. I kept having email updates about my progress and that it is looking quite promising…. And that ‘I’m in the top 30%’ and waiting to hear back from the company. I never heard back from this FAKE ‘Ryan Cruz’. I’m sure and looking at trust pilot there have been so MANY people that have been scammed. They are exploiting vulnerable people and university graduates in this time when the job market is incredibly difficult. Please do not answer the phone from this company. They will find any way to force or push you into buying this course. I’ve never heard from them again!! I called no answer… I emailed no answer… it’s been silence… they got their money when they sold the course… and I haven’t heard a single thing. Please stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please do not trust this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 5 star reviews are fake!! Please be careful!

Similar to everyone else, I had a recruiter called Noah approach me to tell me about two finance roles available that I would apparently be perfect for. However, in order to submit my application I had to enrol onto an expensive course and provide the link or the companies would immediately reject them. I unfortunately fell for it, and after a few emails telling me I was in the top 30% of candidates, I heard nothing else.

The company mentions that their client company has a job, and in order to get to the interview stage the applicant must buy a financial certification course. I was misled into buying the course, and once I informed the company they did not respond and sent no subsequent update regarding the vacancy at their client company.

I had a pre-screening interview with Sophie Bennett from Prestige Recruitment Ltd on 12 August 2025. I was told my application was strong but that I needed to complete a CIFA Level 4 Investment Advisor course to improve my chances, as the role was in the financial sector. I trusted the advice and paid for the course immediately.

Over the next few weeks, Sophie sent regular updates saying I had “passed verification” and was in the “top 30% of applicants.” She said I’d hear directly from the employer soon. After that, communication stopped completely.

When I called the agency, I was told Sophie was first on annual leave, then on maternity leave. A manager named William reassured me that I’d get an update “within a day or two,” but no one ever called back. Later after chasing and chasing for answers, I was told my application was rejected because I hadn’t made enough progress on the course — even though I had completed more than what was originally requested.

After researching, I found many reviews describing almost identical experiences, where applicants were encouraged to pay for a course but never received genuine interview opportunities.

This process has left me frustrated, out of pocket, and feeling misled. I’ve reported the matter to Action Fraud.

Please be cautious if a recruiter asks you to pay for a qualification before any confirmed job interview — this is not standard practice in legitimate recruitment. It also doesn't take 2 months to schedule an interview date.

I previously deleted my first review after receiving a message from the company that I found intimidating. However, everything written here is truthful and based on my direct experience. I am sharing this so others can be aware and make informed decisions and I have a right to express my experience.

This is a fraudulent company. They collect money from people promising them of jobs that are not real. Guys ignore this God forsaking company, the people are fraudster. The guy called "Ryan Cruz" (i believe is a fake name) is the one in charge of this fraudulent activity. Run away from this useless company.

Lured to buy an expensive Finance Course

I feel cheated after many years of experience and being a Chartered Accountant. This company approached me that I was shortlisted for a finance role, I was going to doubt it as the name didnt ring bell to my ears but I fell for it considering I have made a lot of applications. He kept mailing me till I bought the course not until now it dawned on me that it's a SCAM (allegedly). But I will not hesitate to get every penny paid.

They told me I need to buy a course to apply for jobs because it's necessary in the financial industry, and they said they wouldn't finalise job applications unless I provide them with the enrolment letter for the specific course they mentioned. It's obviously a scam, and the jobs on their website are all fake, since they couldn’t even provide me with any details about the roles listed on their own platform.

I talked to several friends who actually work in finance, and all of them said it's not necessary at all to have this certificate. In general, these kinds of private certificates are not considered valuable in the job market or in actual practice.

P.S. After this review was published, they have asked my information such as my name and email address through Trustpilot saying they wouldn’t recognise this review as genuine if I don’t provide them with those. And apparently they are trying to delete this review as another reviewer also said.

Fake recruitment company, Reciter tried to get force me to buy a course to get accredited for a job role they said they are interviewing for. Not client name, Unnecessary urgency he tried to keep me on the phone until payment was made.

They are marketing and selling certificate courses. They will tell you to do a certification to get an interview with client. They don’t have clients, just selling courses and will tell you it will take 5-6 weeks to schedule. No any recruitment process takes this much time just to schedule an interview. They give you couple options for certifications, but most of you might choose cheaper option, and that’s the one they are selling, such as CIFA. Their recruiters don’t have profiles on LinkedIn, so it’s not a genuine recruitment company. Don’t believe them.

100% a scam

Will tell you about an ambiguous job that you're great for without letting you know the company itself, and will then try to sell you courses to increase you odds, don't trust.

Something isn't adding up on this and I'd advise you to steer clear from them.

Warning: Be careful with this company! They emailed me about a job I never applied for, and although I decided to try because of my visa situation, the experience felt off. The interview was a bit strange, and the recruiter kept saying I was one of their best candidates, but then pushed me to buy a course to “improve my chances.” Reading other reviews, it’s clear this is a common tactic. The job listings themselves also seem fake. I strongly advise avoiding this company and don’t fall for their tricks.

They want you to buy some course it is a scam.

I received an email from this company offering an interview even though I didn't remember applying but figured may as well.

We did the interview and even though it was laggy and awkward she claimed I was doing great and was a really strong candidate. The call ended with them strongly suggesting I purchase a course to improve my chances. This immediately set off alarm bells and then I read other reviews on here suggesting the same thing happened to others. Avoid at all costs if possible.

I had my CV reworked into an ATS-friendly format and the outcome was far better than I expected. The layout is modern, the wording is precise, and it really highlights my strengths in a professional way. The service and support from start to finish, and I now feel much more confident applying for roles knowing my CV meets today's standards.

SCAM - they will direct you in the 'interview' to buy overpriced (probably fake / ai generated) finance courses for jobs that don't exist.

What reputable company requires you to spend hundreds of pounds on a course before you are even accepted. The answer is none.

SCAM! I applied for a graduate accountant position, a recruitment consultant reached out to me about it. They make themselves seem very legit by creating a legit looking website/contact number/emails. He tried to persuade my interest to a grad finance analyst role in which I would have to purchase an almost £400 level 4 certification from a very dodgy looking site called cifa.ac (my cv would only be sent off if I purchased the course) so I could put it on my cv to stand out from other candidates. When asked what company the position was for, he would not tell me.

The 5 star reviews on here are fake, grads please be careful. I know times are incredibly tough for us right now but be vigilant.
