I have fed my dog a raw diet her whole life and she thrives on it. She is a healthy Rottweiler and raw feeding has never caused a single issue — until I used Prime Raw. Every time I have fed this brand, without exception, my dog has become seriously unwell. This is repeated, predictable, and absolutely not a coincidence.
My dog has a strict poultry allergy. She cannot tolerate chicken, turkey, or any poultry in any form, including bone. I am obsessive about checking ingredients and only buy food that clearly states it is poultry-free. Despite this, Prime Raw has caused reactions every single time, even when feeding flavours that are not advertised as containing poultry.
After researching and reading numerous comments from other owners, it is obvious that Prime Raw is using chicken bone or poultry derivatives across its products without clearly disclosing it. That is dangerous. Allergies are not “sensitivities” and they are not something you can gamble with. Hidden poultry ingredients can and do make dogs extremely ill.
This is not acceptable and it is not transparent. If your dog has a poultry allergy, do not touch this brand. Prime Raw cannot be trusted to be honest about what is actually in their food, and I will never feed it again.
