its the only true Rock and Metal Radio Station in the UK. yes you have to pay a subscription but its worth every penny. tell me another Station that organises its own Festival or Gigs Purely to promote new Music. it champions Mental Health and looking out for each other. find me a station that does this and i'll take a listen

These guys & gals know their stuff and keep it entertaining all day.
Massive mix of new content and old skool from all genres of rock & metal, which is constantly being updated thanks to the awesome Pete Bailey - man is a legend!
Subscription is cheap, it's about the cost of a pint and a half each month.
Rediscovered over the course of lockdown #1 and not regretted a single day listening to them, plus I've picked up a whole new batch of music to enjoy.

Before Primordial Radio, I constantly dedicated time to try and find new music, to be aware also of what my favorite bands were doing. I thought that I knew a lot of bands and that I'm up to date and then Primordial Radio came and said "hold my beer":))! Enjoy!

Absolutely awesome. Well worth the subscription fee. Run by experienced professionals, lots of varied content, masses of listener engagement through the socials. This channel deserves to be massive. Thanks to everyone involved who make it happen!

I've followed Moose and Dewsbury since the old days of Manchester's Rock Radio and attended most if not all of their events. I was initially reluctant to pay a subscription for a radio station so lost touch with them for a couple of years however, I've been a subscriber now for a good 12 months and must admit that I'm glad I made the decision to do so.
They claim that the music is a 50/50 mix of new and old however I would estimate this to be more 75% new music, most of which is excellent and has allowed me to refresh my Spotify playlist to the extent that I rarely hear the same song twice.
The DJ's are absolutely spot on, humorous, chatty and a pleasure to listen to. They're not afraid to throw in the odd swear word during their conversations which in my opinion is totally acceptable having grown up kiddies.
Going back to the music, after all this is essentially what we're paying for, can on occasion be hit and miss. The station does play quite a bit of what I would describe to be guttural, growly screaming. Not my particular brew but I suppose they have to cater for every taste. As was once said, rock and metal is evolving and I suppose we have to go with the times and accept this. The genre isn’t going anywhere any time soon hopefully.
I would thoroughly recommend giving this station a listen, it's well worth the subscription. My only reason for not giving it five stars (4.8 would be preferable) is because of said growly music.

The day I discovered this station back in 2019 was a great day. Right up my alley, with their uncensored rock and metal. Great DJ’s too. The monthly subscription is cheap and their app is great with a ton of features and content. I will never ever go back to commercial radio again. Give them a go, you won’t regret it. Thanks Moose and team! Love you guys. Even you, Ted.

Found it during lockdown and as a previous listener to TeamRock, and with many of the same djs, it’s a great companion to my day.

Been listening to Primordial Radio since the days of the test signals back in May June 2017, back in a time when we had lost Teamrock Radio. This is different to your normal radio station, this is a community for those of us that love Rock,Metal and all its many many different subgroups. The guys running the station have always been honest about how things are or are not going, and never shy from discussing difficulties in both the station and real life. Importantly the music is pretty much spot on with the right mix of New Old Classic and obscure, and don't miss out on Freespin Friday, it delivers what no other radio station can even get close too.

Love listening to this station, music is great, presenters are awesome.
All through covid they’ve been approachable, honest and human!
Also they have great ties to external companies with links on their website too, including the cumquat advisory board to name one…and it’s definitely NOT a cult!

Amazing variety of alt music. Chatty, entertaining presenters, a caring community.

Being able to favourite songs so you can find them on your profile later is a fabulous idea. Especially as they are playing so much new-to-me music! playing newer, lesser known acts as well as playing the more established ones is a great combination.

You can rate songs they play too, which influences what they play in the future. A true community lead station.

It's brought me back to radio after 15+ years of relying on CDs, then as technology evolved, Spotify and what's on my USB stick in the car.

Worth every penny.

Primordial radio is a revelation for music and content, Moose keeps me entertained in the morning and well Ted what can you say! I have found so many new & old bands through PR and all the presenters are a pleasure to listen too.
