I own a Epson XP-830 printer. It was locked up with the notorious "The printer's ink pad is at the end of it's service life" on the screen. So here I am with new cartridges that I can't use and looking at paying three times as much as what I paid nine years ago for a new printer without all of the features that this one has. After replacing the waste tank I went thru the procedure to clear the printer alert. I had to use a cable with a USB on one end for my HP laptop and square plug on the other end to connect to the printer. Note; follow the procedure carefully. I was in too much of a hurry and it failed the first time thru. The second time did the trick. Don't worry though, the "key" isn't lost until you see the words "Success"!
Great product and fixed for about $20 including the key and new tank.

Downloaded the wic app with no issues. Ordered the reset key for my xp640. Followed the instructions provided,wgich were very clear, and hey ho waste counter reset. Pads changed and all ready to go.

We have an (old) Epson xp-630 which gave us warning message about ink waste pad reaching it's maximum capacity.

I didn't know there was such thing as ink waste pad.
Thank god there's internet.

Few youtube videos later, I ordered a pad+reset key bundle from Printerpotty's UK stockist. The instructions included are so clear and thorough. You can also watch video online to help you go through it. (You do need some screwdrivers though!) Changed the pads, reset my printer. Cheaper than buying a new printer!

I own an Epson XP-760 printer. After paying a lot of money for it (many years ago) I discovered that it has a built in obsolesence feature. Epson expect their custommers to dispose of the printer once some "soaker pads" abosrb all the ink that they can. This is actually based upon the number of pages printed.

However, Printer Potty have a solution that for a less than £20 saved my spending more than £200 on a new printer.

The process was easy due to (very unusually these days) excellent instructions that came pre-printed with the new pads.

My printer is now good as new.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is an excellent product that saved my printer from landfill.

I'm no stranger to computers having built and upgraded a countless number over the past thirty years, but I must admit that I approached what I thought would be a daunting task of changing my Epson ink soak up pads with some trepidation. I needn't have worried, it was easy! One thing I will stress, though, is the necessity of a magnetic Philips screwdriver. One of the screws is tucked away down a 25mm deep recess and without a magnetic screwdriver it could take ages to locate the screw in exactly the right place. The software download and installation went like clockwork. Just make sure you read the instructions thoroughly at least twice, and you can't go wrong. I thoroughly recommend this DIY fix. Just take your time!

This really does do what it says on the tin. You need a little patience and its really handy to do the job right next to a sink if you can. Also, having / buying a magnetic screwdriver would really be helpful to put one little awkward Epson screw back in.
