Florida Resident's Vehicle Towed from Condominium Parking Lot
I am denouncing PROFESSIONAL BAYWAY MANAGEMENT COMPANY INC (PBM) license number CAB325 because on May 16th 2024 at 04:39 pm they violated the Florida Law 715.07 Vehicles or vessels parked on private property; towing that states [they] "must post a notice" but no notice, placard, or signage has been posted, as well as for vague and confusing verbiage in their bylaws that violates Florida Law 715.075 Vehicles parked on private property; rules and rates authorized.
PBM towed my vehicle from my residence, the Stones Throw condominium’s parking lot in St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida for the retrieval amount of $324 during storage with Skyway Towing, Inc during a period of about 26 hours from Friday to Saturday. First and foremost, the Florida Statutes were violated because no "Tow-Away Zone" signage existed at the area. Hereby, I am once again demanding payment of my expenses and damages and raising awareness of the strength of condominium associations in oppressing the people of Florida after multiple complaints to their Stones Throw community manager Chris Keller, their administrator Cameron Broderick, their president Blair Newton, the towing company Skyway Towing Inc in agreement with PBM and to Consumer Protection. I would like to bring to your attention the below unlawful and bigoted facts that contributed to my vehicle towing, my debt, and hours of stress due to Skyway’s threatening customer service and PBM Management’s disregard to inclusion, equity, accessibility, and usability of the physical environment. My vehicle was towed without my consent or knowledge while I was sitting at my apartment located about 50 feet from the parking spot and towing location where I was a paying resident at that time.
Various paragraphs in the Stones Throw Condominium Bylaws state that in cases of general parking infractions (where this case would be categorized) the "Association", hereby, PBM Management should first inform the vehicle's owner about the "infraction", and only tow their vehicle 24 hours later AND if the vehicle's owner still had not yet corrected the issue.
