For over 12 years we have been skillfully up-cycling and retailing furniture . Style, practicality and affordability are essential to what we offer, and with every piece we create something unique and individual. Our signature painting style is an elegant, matt hand-painted look - sometimes with distressed edges for an antiqued finish; sometimes cleaner, crisper and more contemporary. Customers can commission us to paint furniture they already have at home. Our We Paint Your Furniture Service is the perfect way to revive and transform existing furnishings and give them new life. All of these services and a wide range of vintage and contemporary furniture can all be found on the Quirky Dovetail Online Shop.

Superbly restored and beautifully hand painted vintage furniture.
I recently purchased a pair of very reasonably priced bedside tables, wonderfully brought back to life by Andy and his team and hand painted in a fabulous grey.
I intend to check out they’re changing stock on the website and am looking forward to future purchases.
The shopping experience was flawless and I’m now their newest fan!

Beautifully restored hand painted furniture
I have bought several great pieces over the years from Quirky Dovetail, some from the shop in Ritherdon Road and recently via their online shop. Great vintage furniture beautifully restored and painted in a colour of your choice. Andy and his team are charming and helpful.
