Easy to sort online and kept up to date when insurance is coming up for renewal & notified of any other promotions.

I did not receive a price for my insurance and it was just taken out of my account
It accounted for most of my salary and as a result I have really struggled this month financially.
I will certainly not be renewing with you again next year.
I was able to find a much cheaper quote

Price gouging
I was absolutely appalled by how much they charged to cancel my car insurance. It was almost equivalent to half a year's worth of payments. I had initially looked at swapping my old car for my new car, but they wanted to charge me twice what the other companies quoted.

Impressive cover
Simple process, very reasonable cost, good cover, and free roadside assistance included (an unexpected bonus!).
Previous high-profile insurance company refused to renew my cover (at the last minute) apparently because of my age, despite my having had a clean licence for over 55 years.

Ref rac van insurance my policy is only 202 just went to cancel after 2 month as sold the van and can't change onto a car so have to cancel they saying its £102 to cancel my policy 3 different cancellation fees that is a rip off I will never go with rac ever again you are ripping customers off you should be looked into for this totally illegal i will take this further not my fault you can't change to a car like over insurance companies do DO NOT GET INSURANCE WITH RAC YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF

£2600 theft
This company has stolen over months over £2600 by way of payments from our bank account. Sometimes £40 something sometimes £200. Differing payments Nobody will help. Nobody admits yet RAC is written on every bank entry. This is theft. This is a company that is stealing from customers. I never thought I’d need to contemplate going to the police when taking out insurance in the UK AVOID!!! I reached out to them today - but they refuse to help - preferring to keep the £2600. The answer 'Vicky' gave below is false as she is the one who is saying sorry, can't help! Police next.

I was originally going to leave RAC a review but.....
I was originally going to leave RAC & remove my partner off the policy as she has never driven the vehicle in all the time
I have had it. When I called up to cancel it I was told I would get breakdown cover with the renewal. I worked it out to see with the separate breakdown cover with new company it was about the same so decided to stay with RAC. I forgot to remove my partner from the policy. I received a letter about not declaring an accident. My partner remembered she had had a claim on her own personal car insurance on her own car in the snow. I had forgotten to ask her to be taken off the policy which I admit was my fault. I rang up regarding the matter as had a further payment of £98.00 to pay. On asking for her to be removed from the policy I was told about the payment to be made & admin fee that was taken off my card. I get notifications from my bank it showed there were 2 payments of £47+ taken out. We called back again to query this. The lady who answered apologised & said would arrange a refund which would be 7 - 10 days!! I wasn't happy about the costs etc involved in the first place but to then be told the extra payment taken by yourselves that i didn't authorise would take so long to be back in my account isn't right. I lose the money there in my account which in turn lose interest on until you can return it!! I am again out of pocket for an error taking the payment in the first place. The extra money could have been the only money I had left until my next pay day!

Worst online chat customer service I have ever received. Rude, and ended the chat before answering my queries. Anthony shouldn't really be working with the general public if he can't be bothered to help.
