Color AOD is niet meer...

Onderwerp: Realme GT 7 Pro – AOD-functie verwijderd zonder uitleg of oplossing

Beste Tweakers-community,

Ik wil graag mijn ervaring delen met Realme, specifiek over de GT 7 Pro en het verdwijnen van de kleurrijke Always-On Display (AOD) functie.

Bij aankoop werd deze functie actief gepromoot — het was zelfs een doorslaggevende reden voor mij om dit toestel aan te schaffen. Enkele maanden na aankoop verdween deze functie echter stilletjes via een software-update. Geen melding, geen uitleg, geen compensatie.

Ik heb meerdere keren contact opgenomen met Realme Support, inclusief het aanleveren van:
- IMEI-nummers
- Aankoopbewijs
- Screenshots en uitleg

Tot op heden heb ik geen concrete oplossing ontvangen. De reacties zijn laks, vaag en verschuilen zich achter “global policy” en “optimalisatie”. Na de laatste update is het probleem opnieuw opgedoken — alsof we weer van voren af aan beginnen.

Ik vind dit misleidend en respectloos richting de consument. Als functies die bij aankoop aanwezig zijn zomaar verdwijnen, zonder transparantie of herstel, dan is dat een ernstige aantasting van vertrouwen.

Ik heb inmiddels een klacht gestuurd naar Gizmochina en overweeg een overstap naar Vivo. Realme lijkt niet te begrijpen dat gebruikers zoals ik bewust kiezen voor specifieke features — en niet voor marketingpraatjes die later worden ingetrokken.

Heeft iemand hier vergelijkbare ervaringen? En zijn er tips om dit breder aan te kaarten?

للأسف بعد تحديث realme UI 6.0 هاتفي C55 أصبح يفقد الشبكة كلما شغّلت الألعاب، خاصة Free Fire. راسلت الدعم عدة مرات دون حل، وأنا غير قادر على زيارة مركز الصيانة. خدمة ما بعد البيع دون المستوى. ندمت على شراء هذا الهاتف.

Smartphone not durable because of body

I bought a Realme X50 Pro in April 2021 for 589 euros, which still works very well from an electronic point of view, but in June 2024, the back came off and it was quite difficult to glue it back on, either with special phone glue (T-7000 type) or strong glue. The construction of the case is problematic because of this plasticized glass back, which deforms over time and is not flexible enough to be glued back with ease and respecting the aesthetic of the device. Friendly advice: you really need to buy another brand, given such a stupid design flaw.

Excellent product, poor support.

The phones themselves are excellent, in most respects, technically proficient, very competitively priced, a few downsides, their water ingress protection is poor compared to the competition. But the technical support is poor too, and quite frankly this looks to be by design. Their phones are not adaptable country to country, eg if you buy a Far East model in Europe you CANNOT adapt it to your home country, ie by design you are prevented from doing so and they will not help you. They actually deliberately withhold APK root access to the ROM and quite honestly this is totally unacceptable.

Forced update

Forced update, screen lock button stopped working, max setting for screen lock is 30 minutes of inactivity= lock screen. So till I get all my data I'm forced to stay on the phone. Pathetic trash

Soporte inútil

Les compré un móvil que desde principio me dio problemas de cuelgues ocasionales que solucionaba reiniciando hasta que un buen día un nuevo cuelgue dejó al móvil sin funcionar. Ya no había forma de encenderlo.

Contacté con soporte por email para repararlo ya que estaba en garantía, pues tenía menos de un año.
Gestionar el envío del móvil me supuso varios emails, algunos sin contestar, y casi un mes hasta que por fin me dieron la información para el envío del móvil.
El móvil les llegó al centro de reparación el 19 de octubre (hoy es 17 de diciembre). Están a la espera de componentes, dicen. Es lo que llevan diciendo desde casi que lo recibieron. He reclamado en varias ocasiones pero a día de hoy siguen a la espera de componentes.
En mi penúltima queja, enfadado ya, me dijeron que les llegarían los componentes el 31 de noviembre. Pero siguen sin tenerlos.

Una última reclamación hace una semana sirvió para que me dijeran que lo iban a solucionar, pero todo sigue igual.

Mientras tanto yo ya llevo cerca de 3 meses sin móvil y cerca de 3 meses de pérdida de la continuación de la garantía, más lo que quede...
Ahora se nos echan encima las vacaciones de Navidad y como no espabilen se va la reparación a los 4, 5 meses.., a cuántos?

Cómo yo ya estoy muy cansado y he pedido la paciencia, aunque soy muy paciente generalmente, aprovecharé mi experiencia en reclamaciones con Consumo para ir recopilando todos los emails y la información que tengo del proceso para comenzar una reclamación. Esperaré solo a la semana que entra para recibir el móvil reparado, pero como aún no tienen componentes dudo mucho que esto ocurra. Pero me ha dado a mí mismo ese plazo. Y si no lo he recibido procederé a contactar con el abogado de Consumo para que tramite él la reclamación.

Yo llevo 3 meses sin móvil pero al menos me quedaré a gusto reclamando daños y prejuicios incluidos.

Mixed feelings but recent experience, poor...

I've given 2 stars based on my one positive experience of buying my realme 6 Pro (in store) at Chiang Mai Thailand, the staff there were excellent and my 6 Pro has been my pride and joy ever since, however with international travel still off the cards, I decided to try to order a realme Watch S Pro, 3 weeks went by, and they still hadn't responded to my purchase, had no intention to send my purchase, and did not want to communicate with me, in any way, they simply fobbed me off, promised that someone would contact me the next day, nobody did, I finally cancelled my order and it was stuck on refund pending, so I resorted to a PayPal dispute to finally get a refund, I am aware Covid is effecting business, but that is no excuse for a lack of communication with the customer, or simply ignoring and not shipping orders, others are still shipping items internationally, so continuing to use Covid as an excuse, is not acceptable, and this time they have fallen short of the mark, and really need to make serious improvements, before loyal customers like me, look elsewhere, I love realme, but this negative experience is effecting my confidence in this Indian based company, who were starting to have some very good looking and long lasting devices, that I would love to own, maybe they need to open a UK store, to help us buy their products, and restore confidence in their company 😊

Ho acquistato un Realme 8 G5, Mi aggiungo agli altrI utenti con una recensione negativa, in quanto l'assistenza è inesistente. Consglio all'Azienda Cinese casa madre di togliere ogni assistenza alla ditta presente geograficamente in italia e adottare assistenza online con operatore in chat, con possibilità di chat con traduzione automatica, oppure un altro sistema equivalente da gestire in proprio. Così risparmierete molto denaro da investire soprattutto sulla comunicazione ed assitenza con il cliente, e guadagnerete in reputazione, piuttosto che pagare l'Azienda italiana per fare insultare e fare scappare i clienti. Le molte recensioni negative dei clienti faranno fallire la vostra Azienda, Aggiornamento del 22/02/2023, dopo upgrade al software EMUI 4.0 con android 12, il telefono è inutilizzabile, si blocca e si frizza in chiamata, si blocca il touch, non funziona la rete 5G, ogni volta bisogna riavviare il telefono, l'assitenza ovviamente continua a non esistere.

Update dated 02/22/2023, after upgrading to the EMUI 4.0 software with Android 12, the phone is unusable, it freezes and freezes in calls, the touch screen hangs, the 5G network doesn't work, every time you have to restart the phone, the assistance obviously still doesn't exist.

Worst company

I purchased a realme one in 2018 its screen got damaged in 2021 I bought it to service center they told me it is end of life worst after sales service. Then I purchased realme 8 5g worst phone ever

Surprisingly Exceptional

I've been a staunch Samsung user for over a decade and due to recent circumstances, had to look for a cheaper alternative. I did my research and was impressed with the stats on paper for the Realme 7 5G. I was very cautious but decided to take the leap and buy one. They had a deal going here in Australia for free Realme Buds Q with a Realme 7 5G purchase so I went with that. I have to say, I've been honestly blown away with how impressive this phone and the buds have been. Unreal performance for a phone this cheap. Battery is huge and lasts for ages, fast charging is so quick. Even down to the materials used in making the charger and cable, they look and feel phenomenally top quality. I had little expectations but they've blown me out of the water. Would 100% recommend.

Refused to replace the charger which…

Refused to replace the charger which burns and 0 customer service after-sale
Order Number:-152081163684979712 (Placed on Dec 05,2019 20:32:22 PM GMT

We bought 3 phones till now and one phone charges is burned and they refuse to replace it as the phone bought less than 2 weeks ago.

Now from the UK, we have to pay to return the item to France which is ripped off.

I'm Totally upset and wish I could buy which service is from the UK only.

We'll never buy any from realme now.

Terrible customer service. Strongly recommend avoiding

Bought a mobile from Realme's European site, as they also provide a version with a UK plug. When the phone arrived the packaging was damaged and the phone inside was bent in half. Knowing that this was probably the courier's issue I contacted Realme. This is where the issues began. The company only have the option to contact them by email. They are extremely unresponsive, and three weeks on I'm still left with a broken phone and no idea when this is going to be resolved. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.
