David Reid was paid in full to handle the registration of my uncle’s MGB GT around four years ago. Despite the time that has passed, we have still not received any clear proof that the registration process was started, and our attempts to get answers have gone unanswered.

We consider this completely unacceptable. After paying for a service, we expected regular communication, evidence of progress, and a clear explanation of what was happening. Instead, we have been left waiting for years without the reassurance or information we believe we should have received.

Having now seen other reviews raising similar concerns, we are increasingly worried about our experience and whether others have faced comparable issues.

We would like David Reid to provide a clear written update, documentary evidence of any work carried out, and a resolution to this matter. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering using this service to do their research carefully, obtain everything in writing, and keep records of all payments and communications.

I find it quite remarkable that you have taken the time to publish a review about me, making serious allegations about my character and business, rather than addressing the outstanding matters I have been trying to resolve with you.

You are making allegations that I am a criminal, that I scam people and that I have been “found out”. These are extremely serious claims, and I challenge you to provide verifiable evidence to substantiate them.

For the avoidance of doubt, my company has operated in the vehicle registration industry for years, and I have entrusted you with work on multiple vehicles over the course of our business relationship. I have records of payments, correspondence, documents submitted for registration and messages discussing the vehicles concerned.

I am currently dealing with multiple vehicles for which my company paid in full and which remain unresolved after approximately three years. I have clients who are understandably demanding answers and refunds, and I have already refunded some of them from my own company’s funds.

When I have attempted to resolve these matters, I have received repeated delays and explanations. Most concerningly, I have been told that payments were never received despite the documentary evidence I hold.

Rather than making personal allegations about me, I suggest you address these outstanding matters directly and provide a written account of the payments received and the work completed.

If you genuinely believe that I have acted improperly, you are free to raise your concerns through the appropriate legal channels and provide your evidence. I will do the same with the evidence in my possession.

I will not be intimidated by personal attacks, and I will continue to pursue a proper resolution for my company and the clients affected.

I am keeping copies of this review and all related correspondence. I reserve my rights in relation to any false or damaging statements published about me or my business.

I would suggest that your time would be better spent resolving the outstanding registrations and accounting for the money paid to you, rather than attempting to damage my reputation.

I am happy to deal with the facts, the evidence and the outstanding payments. I expect you to do the same.

‼️Very concerning experience with Register Your Car – David Reid and Susan Purcell‼️

I am writing this review because I have personally witnessed the stress, financial pressure and damage to my husband’s business caused by his dealings with Register Your Car, David Reid and Susan Purcell.

My husband runs a vehicle registration company and, over the years, entrusted multiple vehicles to this business, paying in full for the agreed work. We are now dealing with the consequences of several registrations remaining unresolved for approximately three years.

There are clients who have been waiting far too long for their vehicles to be registered, and the situation has placed enormous pressure on my husband and his business. He has already paid some clients back out of his own pocket, despite having paid for the registration work himself.

What is particularly concerning is that, when he has tried repeatedly to resolve these matters, he has received further delays and explanations. He also holds bank-transfer records, messages, voice notes and documentation relating to the vehicles and payments.

Despite this, he has now been faced with statements disputing that money was received. This is extremely concerning given the records my husband holds of bank transfers , voice notes , messages and files sent for the registrations to david Reid .

Instead of seeing these outstanding issues resolved, I have now seen a public review published containing serious personal allegations about my husband and his business. I find this particularly upsetting when there are outstanding matters that still need to be addressed.

Nobody should have to spend years chasing paid-for services while trying to protect their own reputation and deal fairly with their clients.

I hope these outstanding matters are finally addressed properly, with a full explanation of the payments and work undertaken, and appropriate refunds where the agreed services cannot be completed.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using this company to carry out their own checks, obtain clear written agreements and retain all payment records and correspondence.

This review reflects what I have personally witnessed and the impact this ongoing situation has had on our family and business. I sincerely hope the matter can now be resolved fairly and professionally.

Beware of scammers! Please be careful – David is a scammer who takes your money but fails to deliver on his promises. I am aware of two other cases where he simply ‘ghosted’ customers without a word and never refunded the money.
