Held Transaction and Extremely Slow Customer Support
I had a very bad experience with Remit Home.
My transaction (Reference Number: BDP6732372254) has been held for many days without any proper explanation or update.
They asked me for location verification, which I completed, but after that there has been no response at all. Customer service is extremely poor. They reply very late or sometimes don’t reply at all. The app is very frustrating and keeps causing issues. Keeping money held for so long, even after completing all required verification, is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If they cannot process my payment, they should cancel the transaction and issue a full refund immediately. I do not recommend this service unless they seriously improve their customer support and response time.

Guys beware they are not professional held your payments for weeks and when you rang them keep lying it's gonna be clear after 8pm which is not happening since last 5 days .

AVOID. Possible Scam. Money held for over a week with no delivery
I sent with Remit Home. One week later, the money had still not arrived. When I contacted Remit Home for answers, I was met with nothing but excuses and delays. Every time I asked for a refund, they refused and kept stalling.
When I escalated my complaint, they blocked my account — which tells you everything you need to know about how they treat customers who push back.
I had to contact my bank and Trading Standards just to try to recover my own money. As of writing this review, I am still waiting for my refund.
This company should not be trusted with your hard-earned money, especially when sending to family back home who are depending on it. The stress and anxiety this has caused is unacceptable.
Do your research before using any money transfer service. Read the reviews first. I wish I had.
I will not be using this company again and I strongly urge anyone — especially those sending money to Asia — to look elsewhere. There are far more reliable and regulated services available.

They have now disabled their telephone number.
Terrible customer services. They are holding our money and their phone line is not even going through.
Their app is also not working today 31/03/26.
My wife sent the money (5 transactions) under Mary Boachie. We have been speaking to you for 3 days. Since replied to my message, I can log in but my wife's account is not working. We have even sent bank statements as you requested.
Remit home is a scam. Don't worry I've got a reference for you from FCA 212173700.
This has been your method. Countless people are complaining that you are holding their monies.

In response to my latest review, the reply by remit home reflects their even worse performance.
It said my transaction was refunded whereas it was paid but with a lot of useless details and time delays.
Instead of defending a mistake they should rather look inwardly and try to improve their customer service.
They should take it as a wake up call.

I have done a transfer for 4days now and they wouldn’t pay to the recipient. I have had lots of chats and phone calls to the with no better story from them. They are still holding my money. Bad service ☹️👎

My the worse experience with you guys
My experience with you guys are the worse in the world,whenever I make transactions I always have to call them before it goes through my first experience it took 3 days for it to go through and the second took 4 hours and my third is today ,I made a transaction from 6:30am and it’s 2:52pm as I’m typing this the transaction is still on processing and whenever I call them ,the tell me they’re working on it ,same story all the time ,I have called them 5 times today and same old story ,they do not text or email you about anything if there’re having issues,at least call the customer and explain to the customer why the is a delay ,the services are poor ,I won’t refer them to my worse enemy,these things are very frustrating.

Absolutely terrible, disgusting service from Ramit Home. I honestly regret ever trusting them. They called me themselves promising “the best rate” and convinced me to send money through them—big mistake.
I sent £2,000 last night for my brother’s urgent medical treatment, thinking it would go through quickly like any normal money transfer service. Instead, they just HELD the money for no reason. No warning, no proper explanation, nothing.
Now my brother has been stuck in the hospital for over 12 hours without getting the help he needs because the money hasn’t arrived. Imagine being responsible for that kind of delay when it’s a medical emergency—completely unacceptable.
And instead of fixing the issue quickly, they started asking me for ridiculous things like my bank statements, my income, what I do for work—like WHY?? This should have been sorted instantly, not turned into some interrogation while someone is literally waiting for treatment.
I’ve sent everything they asked for and STILL nothing has been resolved. This is beyond frustrating. Other services like Lempfi send money almost immediately, so what exactly is Ramit Home doing with people’s money?
This is hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with any financial service. Avoid at all costs. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Total nightmare.

Not efficient enough service …
Very bad experience with the company so far twice I have transferred money one was last month and recent one was yesterday and I'm yet to receive the founds and when I contacted them they told me they are dealing with it for how long to receive the found I don't know and I'm desperate for the money for my holiday

One the worst money transfer companies
This is genuinely one of the worst money transfer companies I have ever dealt with and if they continue like this, it’s hard to see how they won’t eventually collapse.
They have held my money for over 3 weeks with absolutely no resolution, and despite repeated promises, my refund has still not been processed. Every interaction is the same empty assurances, no accountability, and zero urgency. You’re told someone will “get back to you,” but nothing ever happens.
What makes it worse is the excuses. Completely bogus reasons that change depending on who you speak to. There is no transparency, no ownership, and clearly no proper system in place to handle customer funds.
Let’s be clear , they took my money in seconds. Instantly. But when it comes to returning it after failing to deliver the service, suddenly it takes weeks? That’s unacceptable and raises serious concerns about how they manage customer funds internally.
A refund is not a “priority queue” situation. If you cannot complete a transfer, you return the money immediately. The fact this has dragged on well beyond their own 5–7 day timeframe is beyond unprofessional: it’s alarming.
At this point, it feels less like incompetence and more like a systemic issue within the company.
Avoid this company at all costs. No exchange rate is worth the stress, the delays, and the risk of not seeing your money again. No one here in the UK to speak with either , calls centres are in India and no seems to know what they are doing
After reading your response, and hearing from your customer service team. I can now confirm that you are the worst money transfer company out there. None of your staff are competent and definitely will say no one should , I repeat. If anyone is reading this they shouldn’t risk sending their money through Remit Home. Everyone keep going round in circles and been passed around to “floor managers” who supposedly are handling my refund query but then keep saying case is under investigation. I may need to report with evidence to the FCA for this nonsense …..
You may need to train your staff and who ever is handling your chats because this isn’t it.
No one should risk sending their money because it’s long trying get a refund. Following procedure shouldn’t take 3 weeks to refund money and also …. Why would status of a refund say “refunded” when no money has been received ?

Becareful with Remit Home
After stopping using the company to transfer funds to Ghana due to many fsilures to pay my beneficiaries, i got a phone call from the company advising me their service is back and all past problem resolved and no more delays in paying beneficiaries in Ghana. I took their word for this, l was wrong. I initiated a transaction on 21st March 2026. Until writing this report, 24th March 2026, the funds have not been credited to my account in Ghana. I approached the company about this who asked for evidence that the fund has not bee credited to my account. Their record however says it has been paid. I procided the evidence and they pleaded with me to allow the weekend to pass and thst they funds would be ceedited monday morning, 23rd March. The funds did not reach my account as promised. I had to use another company to send duplicates funds so the workers can continue work on the project on 24th March. I requested for refund. Thry told me last night it will take 5 to 7 days which l accepted. This morning, 24th March, thry are now claiming their evidence suggest the funds has been paid. And provided me the same document they provided on 22nd March. I am going to issue court claim this morning to recover my money.

I made a transaction on the 20th of March at 8:40am and it’s currently 8:40pm and recipient has still not received funds. I still have not been given any response as to when the money is going to get delivered and it is very frustrating and I am not going to use their services ever again

I sent £50 with Home Remit at 21.00 hours on 15th of March 2026 it’s now 12.27 hours on 18th March and still the money hasn’t reached the account but with no customer service they are the worst and most unreliable company I have ever used
