The person that wrote my resume had no concept of what a mortgage closer is. They used sensationalized verbage such as "Spearheaded audits...", I did not spearhead anything in that particular role, and added a skill set I used at only 1 job to every job list on my resume. Again no concept of what a mortgage closer does. It was a complete waste of $150 and I have to now write my own resume. Do not recommend.

This company has been charging $9.95 monthly to my credit card without me ever giving them authorization for such. Very sneaky scammer!!! I provided them my credit card for a one time fee for a service ONLY! Why would I need to have them charge me $9.95 to my credit card months after I received from them the completed service of rewriting my resume (which by the way was a joke! They even removed my LinkedIn address from my resume and I had to enter it myself later on when I realized they had done this without reviewing with me first - which resume writing company does that?!?!?).

On February 7th, 2024, I spoke to a representative named Ryan from Resume Writing Group. I was drawn to their services primarily because of their advertised money back guarantee. During our conversation, I emphasized the importance of having a science-based resume tailored to my chemistry degree, as well as ensuring compatibility with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Ryan assured me that their resume writers were capable of crafting a strong, industry-standard science-based resume. He also outlined the terms of their money back guarantee, stating that I would need to diligently apply for job postings and provide proof of application for a refund. I specifically asked for clarification on what proof would be required, and Ryan stated that automated emails confirming I applied would suffice.

Feeling reassured by our conversation and the company's guarantee, I decided to proceed with Resume Writing Group. On February 9th, 2024, I received a voicemail from Ryan following up with me about my decision. I still called other resume services just to be sure. after carefully reviewing my notes and gathering all necessary information, I initiated the resume writing process through their website.

However, my experience with Resume Writing Group fell short of expectations. Despite providing detailed instructions and emphasizing the need for a science-based resume, the final product did not meet industry standards. I had conversation with the writer Rita to make it as good as possible and even informed Ryan through the portal I wasn’t as confident in the resume being up to standard for science. Furthermore, the resume did not get me any interview in the allotted timeframe.

When I reached out to Resume Writing Group to request a refund as per their money back guarantee, they refused to honor it, citing insufficient proof of job applications. I was informed that I will need in addition to applying for resumes online, fax and mail certify 40 resumes to each job. I did read this once I had paid for my services, and I was sent the “how to properly market your resume” this however was not stated on the initial website on the homepage nor was it relay in the phone consultation with Ryan. I asked for my call to be pulled and listened to with me. Despite this, Resume Writing Group failed to acknowledge my efforts and adhere to their guarantee I was verbally told. My expertise is forensic science and crime labs do not have fax numbers and incoming mail that the get. I also would not have paid for Resume Writing Group because as I stated to them that would have been an added financial burden on top of the 269.00. That would also defeat the purpose of hiring a resume service that states they will build a resume that is ATS compatible if I need to send a fax or certified mail to them in order to be eligible for a refund.

This experience has left me feeling misled and frustrated with Resume Writing Group's lack of accountability. I believe their money back guarantee policy is deceptive and fails to deliver on its promises.

THERE IS NO REFUND!!!!! One of their big selling points is a 45 day hired or your money back "guarantee". It's total BS! Don't fall for it like I did. I spoke with Ryan, the company owner and he promised me over and over that I had nothing to worry about because it's "guaranteed". The only thing that's guaranteed is that you will get an AI generated resume and a promise that is worth nothing. Also use a virtual credit card because they will try to charge you again without notice. Virtual cards are only good for one time use FYI. Just another scammer to scam job seekers. These type of low-lifes should be put under the jail.

Amy is the best resume and cover letter writer that I've come across in my professional career. She was patient, attentive, and extremely detailed oriented in order to tailor my resume and cover letter to the respective positions I'm applying for. Not only is this company's resume writing subpar (I repeatedly came back over and over to get a product that was 'marketable", which it never was) , they are somewhat quick to charge. I was charged an annual 39.95 fee for annual "career consulting" after I had expressed dissatisfaction - the fee which was eventually reversed. Their career counseling lacked any out innovative thinking or strategy .The last request or effort I made to get a decent resume out of them ,I was charged a $89 and they literally tweaked a few lines . I expressed my disappointment with this quality of work and despite numerous DM's Ryan just failed to respond till this day. Initially Ryan was responsive, although it was probably to secure more chargeable business. Bottom line I never received one interview on their resumes. Went to another more professional company, with similar pricing, I was interviewing within ten days and employed 25 days later. I would not recommend using this service.
