Scammed out of 200 pounds daylight robbery i used the Hailsham branch in December they promised me the money in 28 days and now they have closed

I like most people took scrap in during October 25 and still waiting to be paid. Phoned them constantly with no answer or reply. Been down there today and the gates are locked. Looked through the fence and the place is empty. Who would have thought that a company who’s been in existence since 1928 would go under. I wish I had read the reviews first. I feel sorry for everyone that’s lost money.

Took scrap copper in October 3rd still waiting for payment. No answer to phone calls keep getting excuses when I visit the office was only £300 so I’ve written it off. Take scrap elsewhere not worth the risk.

Renegotiated price on collection of scrap car

Avoid, they do not pay.
Been months and I’ve called many times- my last 2 payments didn’t get paid, had to wait 6 weeks for the payment before that too

Still waiting for payment for scrap that I took in on 20th March 2025. I know someone else who is owed £2000 since December and many others are in the same boat, check out their Google reviews. Excuse after excuse but no payment forthcoming. No response to phone calls or voicemails and they keep taking scrap in. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Take your scrap elsewhere otherwise you will be shafted too.

I emailed Ripleys about disposing of my car. I received a call back the same day to give me a quote for the vehicle and to arrange it's collection. They collected the vehicle 2 days later on the arranged day. The driver was very helpful and polite and efficiently collected the car and completed the necessary paperwork. To cap it all, the payment was in my account the following morning. Fantastic service. I would highly recommend them should you need to dispose of an end of life vehicle. Cheers Guys!!
