Excellent haven't started it yet as building the seahorse pirate ship. But being able to build a working typewriter out wood and the way it will look can't wait

Hi Nick, thanks so much for the lovely review! It's great to hear you're excited about building a working typewriter out of wood and seeing how it will look. Enjoy finishing the seahorse pirate ship first, and we hope you have a wonderful time with the typewriter when you start it.
Very difficult. Don't skimp on sanding or waxing. Take your time. This should take about 45 to 60 hours to do if you take your time. I enjoyed the challenge.

Hi D J Kidd, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re so glad you enjoyed the challenge and appreciated the craftsmanship that goes into the LK703C. Your tip about sanding and waxing is spot on — it really makes a difference in the final result. Happy building!
Four stars because it doesn't actually work. I didn't expect a fully functional typewriter, but I did expect to type a few words. I wrote to support for help but have not received a reply (over three weeks). The product was fun to build but I'm disappointed it doesn't work for even a sentence of typing. There is nothing in the troubleshooting section of the instructions of what to do if the typing keys don't reach the paper.

Hi Kai, thank you for sharing your honest feedback, and we're really glad you enjoyed the build itself. We're truly sorry to hear that typing hasn't worked as you expected and that our support team hasn't gotten back to you yet — that's not the experience we want for you. Please reach out to us at service@robotime.com and mention "Trustpilot review" so we can look into this and help you get it working.

I’m only half way through but can already tell the keys move just like a real typewriter. Just like so many of these kits, there are challenging parts but that’s part of the fun and you can always find videos to clarify any steps you’re not sure about.
