We went for 4th of July - paid $16 each for entrance. They advertised great view of the fireworks. When we arrived, there were no seats available - only a handful of reserved benches. Not acceptable after we both had knee surgery. We were told we could sit on the benches until the "reservees" showed up. What kind of bar does not offer seating? One that wants to cram in more people I suppose. They have happy hour every night except 4th of July. I guess because we paid an entrance fee we were entitled to $13 well drinks. Also, they advertised "little bites" of food with our entrance. There was no food at all - not even for sale.
Forget about the view to the fireworks. Out of the three floors that were open to guests, only two little corners had a view of the Brooklyn Bridge where the fireworks were launched - maybe enough room for about a dozen people to see. With the large building in the way, I can't imagine there was any view at all. Fortunately, we immediately ditched the place, ate dinner at the Bowery Beer Garden downstairs, which was very good, and made our way to the bridge where we were able to see the fireworks.
