STAY AWAY!!! BEWARE!!! Please! If you can avoid it never deal with this property management company. They are stealing from people. They over charge for things you cant put a price on like theyre laundering money. When I was there I saw them systematically evict or run out multiple tenants. I had neighbors they told not to worry about a charge for insurance only to use the charge to get them evicted. I saw my downstairs neighbor go without A/C in the summer until she was forced to move for her and her dogs. I saw 8 different other people get evicted at the same time all because they wanted to rennovate the property to draw in more suckers. Anytime I had a problem at my place I had to contact them multiple times to get anyone to help or fix things. After I moved out they charged me for a bunch of issues I had called maintenance on and they never showed up. Now I get a call once a month to pay this payment plan for these things and now they can be prompt with contact. This is the worst property management company you could ever deal with! STAY AWAY!!!

I would not recommend this property management company if you were looking to lease in the Greater Heights of Houston, Texas. Take it from a working professional and public educator with many years of experience living in apartments and various apartment communities. There are plenty of more viable options and alternatives for housing that are newer and have better conditions in the area. After having an initial positive experience upon touring, I received a much more negative experience once I signed a lease with this company in January and rented a unit at this complex. There was no make ready completed on the unit I rented as requested, and I discovered multiple maintenance problems with the apartment such as mold, mildew, and issues with appliances, flooring, etc. I have posted pictures on Google and Facebook I took at the time that illustrate dents, cracks, poor drainage, condensation on the ceiling, etc. It just was not a good situation, so I did not move in and then suffered the wrath of property management battling the leasing terms which became confrontational. I was not offered any compensation for my trouble or frustration. No refunding of my deposit and first month rent or any other fees I had paid. I was told I had to move in and give them 30 days to fix the problems per the leasing agreement. So, their philosophy and business practice are you move into problems and maybe they get it fixed in 30 days? RPM Living manages this complex and when I communicated with the regional manager for the property at the Houston office in regard to my issue, she never called me back nor returned an e-mail. When I later attempted to contact the area manager for the property at the corporate office in Austin, Texas, she finally responded with an e-mail communication in May indicating no funds would be returned for the defective unit. I know this negative review will bring out a public relations style response below with a defensive statement/rebuttal from their management team with maybe even an apology but that does not change the circumstances I endured from this experience and the money I lost on this deal due to their incompetence. So please adhere to my warning and do not make the same mistake I did by doing business with this company. Save yourself time, money, and aggravation by taking your business elsewhere!

Not customer-focused. Management appears to go out of their way to make residents feel ignored.

I've had ongoing issues with RPM Living that speak volumes about the kind of experience residents can expect — and unfortunately, “customer service” is just not part of their vocabulary.

Management seems detached from reality and uninterested in helping tenants resolve even basic concerns. Every request is met with delays, vague answers, or complete indifference. It often feels like they're trained to deflect and dismiss, rather than assist. When you report issues — whether it's maintenance, safety, or misleading communication — you're met with robotic responses or long silences.

There’s a consistent lack of follow-through. Promises are made casually and forgotten just as easily. The tone from office staff borders on hostile, and any effort to seek clarity or accountability is treated as a nuisance. I've had multiple situations where policies were changed on the fly, or rules were enforced selectively — usually to the detriment of residents.

It honestly feels like RPM Living goes out of its way to make the experience as frustrating and stressful as possible. Respect for tenants? Nowhere to be found. Communication? Often evasive and inconsistent. Transparency? Missing entirely.

If you’re hoping for a management team that listens, follows up, or simply acts like they care — look elsewhere. This company is not built around serving residents. It’s built around minimizing effort and maximizing rent collection, no matter how poorly the property is run or how legitimate the complaints may be.

My advice: document everything, speak up early, and don’t expect empathy. You’ll need to fight for even the most basic level of service.

Hampton Lakes

Hampton Lakes, North Lauderdale. Moved out after 12 years. Nothing ever done about safety. Vehicles sped in and out at all hours. Garbage piled up on a regular basis. The only decent thing that they had to offer was decent maintenance. Lease clearly states which certain breed of dogs are not allowed and yet they are let in anyway. There are other horror stories, theft of packages, violent crime, etc. Would I move back? NO! Would I ever rent from another RPM Living property? NO!

DO NOT RENT MEDINA HIGHLANDS. Property management shows no willingness to help or do anything and not responsive.
Excessively loud stomping, thudding, furniture dragging and things dropping on the floors constantly from upper stairs neighbor ALL the time from as early as 6 AM to 12 - 1 AM due to cheap build and thin floors. Property manager started from forcing us to provide video recordings and after we did refuses to admit any noise after months of complaints, security patrol calls and police reports.
Packages got stolen. Got responded with an email basically saying "use Fetch" when they have a security camera in place.
