They tried to robb me of 950$ for items that cost 31.67$ they store your business info unsecurely that was very appearant. Credit card could be stored unencrypted or even on a piece of paper. I had a long exchange with the customer care agents and it seems that they dont really care and don't see an issue with charging 950$ for 31.67$ item.
Like some of the other reviews mention, they signal on the website that the item is available but then send you a message that there is a 2-4week lead time from the factory for it. When the item finally arrived they started trying to charge my card, they claim that the 918.33$ is for 1 day shipping. But like I said the customer care agent doesnt understand that I maybe dont want 1 day shipping rates if I have already waited 2 weeks for my item already.
They claimed that they had already sent the item and sent me an email stating so, but further investigation showed that the items had not been shipped at all.
You might question maybe the item was so heavy thats why the shipping was so expensive, but we are talking about the most lightweight items available on the store.
The customer service at this company is so bad that a possibly legitimate company once has become a total fraud company. I am just curious on how they are still operating with this type of staff.
It ended with me reporting my card stole, since it had been by them storing it unsecurly and trying to charge 950$ on it. I recommend if you also did business with this company to do the same before you get your details stolen too.
Terrible experience with RSHughes. The product was listed as in stock with fast delivery, but after I paid, they informed me it’s on backorder for 3–4 weeks. That’s extremely misleading.
For a supplier that already charges premium prices, this level of service is unacceptable. Accurate stock information is basic and critical for business customers.
I would strongly advise others to avoid ordering here unless you’re prepared for delays and unreliable fulfillment.

I ordered 1 roll of 3M VHB tape on a Monday. I asked for overnight shipping because I needed it for a sign installation on Wednesday. Come the end of Monday and I realized I never got a shipping confirmation from them. Tuesday morning I called customer service, the lady sounded like I woke her out of bed. She bumbled around and confirmed it had not shipped and said she would get right on it. It did wind up shipping Tuesday night. They have some weird shopping cart situation where they won't give you a price for shipping until after it ships. I figured how bad could it be? Well, come to find out I had to pay $96 shipping and handling for a $36 roll of tape that weighs less than a pound and could've fit in an envelope. WTF. What a ripoff. Never again with these clowns.
Im a repeat customer, on a recent order they sent me an email asking why my shipping address was different than my billing. Uh thats a common situation with ecommerce and i dont need to explain my life situation to you. Well i did anyways which wasnt good enough for them, so then they tried to cold call me during work hours for 'further verification'. I wasnt picking up random numbers on my personal phone while working, so they went ahead cancelled my order. They are so concerned you are a criminal that they just go ahead and treat you like one.
I Ordered a ratchet wrench and waited for weeks, had to reach out to customer service and they finally sent. On the website and in the picture it’s shows a spud ratchet wrench and is labeled ratchet wrench but in reality it’s replacement pieces but never states that anywhere so I reached out to customer service we went back and forth they said they will take care of it and get back to me I asked if I am able to at least return. They have not got back in contact with me for at least a month now and I have reached out multiple times. Wouldn’t recommend.
I submitted an order with a request for information, no one replied or responded. I asked to cancel the order and 2 hours later I was told it already shipped, however NO ONE replied or even returned the phone call.

I placed a recent order through RS Hughes' website for 3 different products. I normally would order these 3 products individually through industry peers to "keep it in the family" so to speak. This time though, I was running low on all 3 at the same time, and I've ordered through RS Hughes before with no issues, so I thought I would get them all 3 from one place in one order to save on shipping and bookkeeping. I placed a single order for all 3 products expecting them to ship from one location and arrive on the same day, even if they were packed separately. I received and printed a confirmation/receipt at the time of purchase which was for $273. The 3 products started arriving...each one from a different location in different states, and they all arrived on different days. I can understand if one facility was unable to fulfil the whole order, so it wasn't a huge deal until I got my credit card statement. While the initial transaction was for all 3 products, 2 of the 3 locations that shipped product billed me again for their portion. So for those 2 products, I was double billed for another $230 so a total of over $500. I called twice on separate days during business hours to try to reach a customer service rep and was unable to. I left messages both times that were not returned. I also e-mailed via the Contact form on the same RS Hughes website that I used to place the order. No reply. I tried calling one final time last week to try to give them a chance to make it right before contacting my credit card company to dispute the unauthorized duplicate transactions. I was finally able to reach someone, explained the error, and he insisted I was not double charged. We eventually brought a manager in to the call. I was asked to provide a copy of my receipt from my initial order, as well as a copy of my card statement because they had no record of the other two transactions on their end. I e-mailed the requested documentation to both the CS rep and the manager, and despite two requests on later days for follow up and a status update, neither have contacted in any way. I understand mistakes happen, but they've really dropped the ball on this one in terms of resolution, communication, and customer service. Despite trying multiple times to give them a chance to resolve the situation, they have taken no steps towards that, so without communication I'm left no choice but to file a claim with my card company to dispute the charges. I won't be ordering from RS Hughes again.
Twice I have placed an order with this company, and twice they have inexplicably canceled the order with no explanation or even an email to inform me that they canceled the order. They clearly do NOT stock what they claim they have in stock. I will NEVER try to do business with this UNPROFESSIONAL company again!

I submitted an order. I got a phone call that 2 of my 4 items were on back order. I gave the representative permission to mail the 2 items that were in stock and I would wait for the other 2. Not only did I not receive part of the order, but the whole order was cancelled. I email, no response. I finally called and was informed that the rep had made many attempts to contact me and therefore cancelled my order when I didn't respond. I only got one call. I had responded by calling and emailing in response and I'm confused why this happened. The rep blamed me and said if I gave them my credit card info to add to my account, an order would be placed. What a lot of hassle to receive nothing. I might just be done with this company. Very sad.
