I recently created a professional photo book with Saal Digital, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, the entire process felt smooth, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable.

The design stage was one of the highlights for me. Their software offers a wide range of templates that make organising photos incredibly easy, even if you don’t have much experience with layout design. I loved how flexible everything felt, I could customise the pages as much or as little as I wanted, which made the whole experience both efficient and creative. It turned what could have been a time-consuming task into something genuinely fun.

When the photo book arrived, I was honestly impressed by the quality. The print itself is sharp, vibrant, and true to colour, which is so important when you’re working with meaningful images. The paper feels premium and durable, giving the book a professional, high-end finish. The format I chose also worked perfectly, and everything, from the binding to the page thickness, felt carefully crafted and built to last.

Overall, Saal Digital exceeded my expectations. It’s clear that a lot of attention goes into both the user experience and the final product. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to create a high quality photo book, whether for personal memories or professional work. I’ll definitely be using their service again in the future.

The photobooks that I have ordered have been produced to a very high standard and delivered well packaged in a very fast time frame. The reason it is not a 5 star rating is that the dis count voucher of £30 turned out to be £5 in reality when applied to the product. This was confusing and terms should be much clearer. That of course is my opinion.

The site is quite clunky, especially if you want a few pics per page, page formatting is not as easy on much cheaper sites. Pricing was very confusing, with different prices showing on different pages through the order, with no reason for the change. I had a voucher for £100 which was why I tried this company, but there was only £90 taken off the total. I went ahead as by that point I had invested a lot of time and effort. The book is beautiful and quality is very good but only worth the effort for a vey special album

I’d say this overall is a good product, I’m surprised by the size and the quality tbh, leather on the inside, and premium feel to the photos, I’d say the only thing letting it down was the blurriness on a couple pages, I’d rather have the image fit to page than stressed, but the photos with that extra definition does really pop, would be more than happy to try them again in the future but for now, the blurry photo is enough for me to look at other options for a portfolio,

This was by far the easiest photo book interface we tried when we were putting together our daughter's wedding album. Once we got the hang of not using the templates we really had so much freedom in how we could lay out each page. We actually enjoyed the design process!
When the album arrived we were absolutely thrilled. It is a real keepsake and cost us a lot less than an album we'd had professionally for our other daughter 5 years earlier. Delivery was about 10 days but that's because of the Easter Bank Holidays. We'd definitely go back to Saal.

The photo book was of excellent quality - the photos were very clear and vibrant. We have created many photo books over the years and this is by far the best.

There was a slight problem with the corner of the cover but customer service dealt with this in a satisfactory and speedy manner

The quality of my photo book was outstanding. The software is reasonably easy to use and flexible enough to allow me to have fine control of the layout of the pictures.

Absolutely disgusting Service big lies never order again

I ordered and created one of Saal Digitals 40 x 30 Professional Line Photo Books with acrylic cover, and matte photo paper. I was originally hesitant due to the price, but after receiving the product, it justified the price. The acrylic cover in particular makes the book feel unique and gives the album some weight, and the binding felt and looked premium.

The photo paper quality is great with a nice thickness to it, and the colours printed are rich and true to the original photos.

The cost for adding extra pages was relatively reasonable to the extent I had only planned to get 25 and order 36 in the end.

The software worked as expected on the website, though I came across a couple quirks that would have been nice to avoid like needing to reorganise photos on a spread if I added another and it chose a new layout. And on two occasions the undo didn’t work and I needed to relayout those spreads. Overall however the program worked a lot smoother than other similar ones offered by other companies for smaller books.

I’m not sure what I expected but I was very happy with what I received and it was great to see my photos in print.
I did choose to not order the photo box at the time but after seeing the quality of the book I plan to order that aswell.

I had a few issues with the online design tool, I think possibly due to the size of the project I was trying to create. It kept freezing whilst saving (though it was actually saving it), and it had a few issues with the checkout screen (eventually I managed to send myself a link to it, and purchase it.
Glad it worked out, as the final product is great. Very high quality materials, great clean crisp printing.
Customer services were helpful.

Online system did not work properly. It did not show crop and tool and save tool did not work reliably. so downloaded app

the product was fantastic and i loved the creative freedom i had in developing the photobook layouts. this is a quality missing from the vast majority of companies nowadays so very happy with it

Once again, the Saal software made putting the Professional Line book together both an enjoyable and efficient process. The tools which enable one to position images on the page are simple to use and reliable. But, most of all, using the colour profile for the paper selected gives excellent and accurate results.
I am already working on my next Professional Line book.

I always go to Saal digital for my prints but haven't tried any other products. i needed a book for an exhibition so went for the professional line photobook. i'm so happy with the way the book turned out! the software is easy to use and i used a bunch of their templates to arrange my photos. the software can be a bit clunky at times and i had a problem with it giving an error but once i got the hang of it, it was fine. i got the acrylic cover which feels sturdy and adds a nice weight to it. the pages are thick and durable, they show the colours and contrast so well. the layflat design made the images i put over two pages look seamless too. i went for glossy finish which makes everything pop and doesn't show finger print marks which is great. only slight downside is the inside of the cover is white whereas my pages are black, if you have different colours for pages just bare that in mind. always go to saal digital and this proves what i already know. their delivery is fast and reliable, quality is superb and they're affordable!

The photo book, from the glossy pages to the acrylic cover was superb quality, and given that it came from Röttenbach to the west of Scotland within a few days of placing the order, the service is commendable. Given the prices, I couldn't use Saal as often as I would like, but I'll definitely use them again - I'm planning another photo book.
