Decent VPN Service

Been using safe shell for a while now and I can testify that the experience has been awesome. You can switch to the country you want easily and watch any show of your choice.

Best VPN to use for a low budget. Works very well for streaming services like Netflix, crunchyroll and more.

Initially, all was well and I took out a one year subscription. Then after several months the speeds dropped to a point where most things buffered and became unusable. So I uninstalled and re-installed the app, only to find it states 'subscription inactive' and it is impossible to recover my subscription without contacting their support, which I have no faith in. So, subscription cancelled, no more custom from me i'm afraid.

There was a problem. I purchased a one-week subscription and paid via a QR code on the website. It was not possible to subscribe through the AppStore, only directly through their website. After that, a monthly subscription with automatic payments was activated without my knowledge. A week later, money was withdrawn from my card. I tried to get a refund, but customer support refused. They said I had to do it through the AppStore. However, I cannot do that because I subscribed through the website, and there are simply no other options. I can’t say anything about the VPN, but the customer support is terrible.

The support has been quite limited. Initially, the performance was excellent, but it has since become only partially functional. Users with devices running on versions lower than Android 9 are experiencing issues due to a failure in Google account detection. Additionally, the app mode is causing the TV or multimedia box to become unresponsive, rendering the device unusable. While the global mode appears to be operational, its pricing seems excessive for the value it provides.
Update Jan. 12th 2025: App mode has becoming a mess on both iOS and Android. I do not know where the VPN in app mode connects to but certainly not my home country as apps for my homecountry do not work anymore. This is unworkable, you now lost me. I now have to stop my subscription. This service is not worth its price.

Great VPN on the Apple TV. The app mode is a game changer. I have various streaming services and have tried ExpressVPN, NordVPN and IPVanish and none of them are able to unlock all of my services. SafeShell not only allows me to watch all of them, but there’s no need for me to change locations when I switch apps due to the app mode feature. Even 4K streaming in Germany from the Middle East works flawlessly. Support via telegram is very active and any issues are resolved very quickly. Great VPN. I can highly recommend it.
