Very poor customer support

Very poor customer support. They seem to do everything they can to charge you for an extra billing period. Instead of working toward a reasonable solution, they would rather escalate matters into a legal dispute over one additional month’s payment. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Lots of chatty staff members in the men’s shower area

I have been training at Saints and Stars City for some time and there are real strengths.

The classes are strong, particularly Holy Build. Instructors like Thiago, Madison and Riccardo bring energy and great vibes. The equipment is modern and well-maintained. The design and locations are impressive and feel premium - at first glance.

Where the experience falls short is complete ambivalence from management about member discomfort and a lack of operational consistency.

There appears to be high staff turnover. Policies feel unclear. Member concerns do not receive precise or accountable responses.

One ongoing issue is the presence of multiple female staff in the men’s shower areas during active use. It is odd seeing a group of mid-twenties women with T shirts emblazoned with “Ambassador” while laughing and chatting in a shower area, while a bunch of naked men walk around who are simply supposed to ignore their presence.

This situation is not handled with care or clear operational standards. There is no clear protocol allowing members to request privacy.

When asked to leave temporarily (on four separate occasions) my experience with the female staff members is that they have a. expressed their own discomfort at being in that situation in the first place, and then b. have refused to leave and deferred to their manager or supervisor - who are nowhere to be found. I emailed management twice but responses have been vague and non committal, and not escalated beyond team members.

This is about privacy, dignity and professional standards in an intimate space rather than gender - although I note it has been the experience of female members that male workers are often refilling supplies in the female changing areas (see reviews below).

For a brand positioning itself as premium, the operational layer does not consistently meet international high end gym standards. It feels like a well designed Dutch gym with strong classes, but absolutely not a tightly run premium operation. With operational standards like this, this gym would be a laughing stock in London or Berlin.

There is potential here. The fundamentals are good. Execution and leadership consistency need major work.

Please don’t do business with this…


Please don’t do business with this company.

I cancelled my annual membership in mid-August — well in advance — as it was due to end in October. I sent a proper cancellation email with my name, date, and membership details, two months ahead of time.

They even replied with “We’ll miss you! Are you sure you want to cancel?” — which clearly proves they received and read my message. Obviously, if I’m sending a cancellation email, I’m sure I want to cancel.

Then, months later, they charged me again, claiming my membership was never cancelled — simply because I didn’t reply to their unnecessary follow-up question. That’s absurd. Their own response (“We’ll miss you”) already confirms that they processed my cancellation.

This kind of manipulative tactic — pretending a contract isn’t cancelled just to keep charging people — is completely unethical.

As a business owner myself, I would never treat my clients this way. Transparency and respect are everything in customer relationships.

Please stay away from this company.
If this is how they need to make money, it says everything about their values. I truly hope more people walk away — because no serious business should operate like this.

Horrible customer service!

Great trainers but what an awful customer service!! Absolutely horrible. I've never had such a pain in the ass to cancel a subscription. Please think again before subscribing. It is hard to get out off. I blocked my credit card so they just can't charge me anymore despite several email exchanges to end the subscription.

Moderne slavernij

Zeer slechte ervaring met Saints and Stars. Ze maken schaamteloos misbruik van arbeidsmigranten: extreem lange werkdagen tot wel 17 uur, slechte leefomstandigheden (meerdere mensen in één bed) en totaal geen respect voor hun medewerkers. Dit bedrijf profiteert van kwetsbare werknemers in plaats van ze eerlijk te behandelen. Absoluut geen ethisch verantwoord bedrijf – ik raad iedereen aan hier ver vandaan te blijven!

Kunstig trouwens hoe trustpilot een 1.9 aan sterre weergeeft terwijl alle reviews 1 ster zijn.

I no longer work out at this facility…

I no longer work out at this facility due to serious concerns about its leadership, particularly Tom Moos. In 2025, it's unacceptable to see behavior that echoes modern slavery or human rights violations. I sincerely hope the hardworking instructors and employees find workplaces where they are respected, fairly compensated, and treated with dignity. I stand in solidarity with all underpaid and exploited workers, justice must be served.

Niet aan te raden!

Tot 2 weken geleden ging ik hier nog met veel plezier sporten, totdat ik las in het Parool hoe ze met hun schoonmaakpersoneel om gaan. Ik wil daarom geen klant blijven van dit bedrijf.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. I think the words “money trap” explain it all. First point and last point of interaction on locations are totally unqualified receptionists (with very few exceptions), leaving out information that is of great importance to (new) members - while it is an information desk - but overly eager to go after payment details repeatedly (while shared already) and selling accessories you most probably have at home (only nobody told you that it is mandatory and obligated). You get advised and subscribe, but when you are not content, you get to pay for the work outs you had in the first days “trial” period… and this was not communicated while subscribing… and they suddenly charge 24 euros per yoga lesson…… The 1 euro first month marketing campaign is an absolute money trap. Especially when you are not allowed to enter class 1 min too late and you still get to pay for it (only because you had to go back for that yoga towel..). Nobody cares or warns, There is no possibility to connect with the backoffice or management - all communication is only allowed through email. No personal contact - at all. I loved the trainers and the workouts, but the business itself does not train its employers well, there is no personal approach whatsoever. Unfortunately, the employees are sentenced to be the keepers of the money trap.

Saints & Stars City

We were excited to book a class at your new location on Leidseplein, but we ended up cancelling it just now, because we were spoken to in a very rude and disrespectful manner by Kiki.

We had booked a Holy Shred class at 7:30, so we arrived at 7:10/7:15. The door downstairs was open, so we walked upstairs. We were immediately asked what we were doing here and told that they weren’t open yet. There was no “good morning,” no welcome — basically, we were told to wait outside until they officially opened.

I have never been spoken to so rudely and without any basic courtesy. We are honestly in shock, especially because we normally really enjoy working out at your studios. I’ve been a Gold Member for many years and have always appreciated the hospitality and experienced trainers at West and Zuid. But this was simply unacceptable. We left and cancelled our class.

I truly hope you will take this seriously, because this kind of experience damages the reputation of Saints & Stars.

Very disappointed; no flexibility at all

I booked a class at Saints & Stars and was very looking forward to it. I rushed home after work & made myself ready for the Holy Wellness class. I had been looking forward to this class for a week and really needed it. When I arrived, they told me that I was not in their system. After some investigation we found out that I mistakenly booked the 6.45 am class instead of the 6.45 pm class. The lady told me that the same class would take place at 6.45 pm and she checked whether I could join. She then came back and told me that I was not allowed to take part in the class due to their policy. I was super disappointed and asked her if I could pay extra for the class. She told me that I would need to pay 40 euros (?!). For 1 class. I simply don’t understand why I could not just join this class while they had a spot available. A mistake can happen you would think. But not at Saints & Stars…

Next-level disappointment

I have been a Gold Member for 1 and a half years and the trainers have been nothing but absolutely wonderful, friendly and experienced. I have learnt so much during this time!

Nonetheless, I must admit the administration of this place is a HUGE disaster. This gym has wrongfully taken HUNDREDS of Euros from my account.

I kept being charged for “no-show” fees and “late cancellation” fees even when I would cancel a class with long time in advance.

The customer service employees kept asking me for the “proof of cancellation emails”. The reason I was always contacting them was indeed because I was not getting said emails…. And then they would stop replying to my emails and Whatsapps after that.

I had to stop my membership because I am absolutely done with their IT/admin mistakes.

Not to mention that the “Luxurious facilities” include sticky, constantly clogged, sewage smelling showers
