I ordered a product from SalonTotal that arrived past its expiration date. I immediately sent it back, including the postal costs, expecting a full refund. Unfortunately, despite numerous promises from their customer service team that the refund was “in progress,” I never received any refund at all — neither for the product nor the shipping costs.
Communication was frustratingly slow and vague. Every time I reached out, I got the same empty reassurance, but no action. It’s clear this company does not value its customers and cannot be trusted to honor their refund policies.
I paid via PayPal, which ultimately saved me, because I was able to get my money back only through PayPal’s buyer protection — not from SalonTotal directly. If you decide to order from SalonTotal, make sure to pay via PayPal; it’s the only way you have a chance of getting a refund.
If you’re considering buying from SalonTotal, be very cautious. I regret trusting them and wasting time and money. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.

Please don’t use this company. I ignored negative reviews as I didn’t look properly. What a mistake that was. If you look back at the negative reviews and then look at the responses from the company, they lol as though they’ve been written by a moody sarcastic teenager. £83.00 I’ve paid this company nearly 2 weeks ago. A week after the order I had to chase it up to be told that 4 of the items were out of stock and asked me to wait a further week. Then following that week I was provided with a tracking number that states that yodel have been waiting for the parcel ever since with no update. I have escalated the dispute to PayPal for a refund. Having contacted the company you get nothing but the run around. I’ve lost two clients over the weekend. I will never ever use this company again.

I made a order from them 22/1 and on the 25/1 I get a email stating that the order is gonna be delayed and that I could cancel it so I replied that I wanted to cancel cause I needed the things that week. I didn’t get a reply, I continued to send emails and messages on their site but didn’t get a reply until today! They send me a email that they will send my order today! Almost a month after I ordered it! So I send them a message via their WhatsApp explaining everything again about how I wanted to cancel the order and get my money back and about all the emails I already sent them and I get a response with a link to follow my order and they totally ignored the fact that I wanted to cancel the order! They are unprofessional and ignorant company! Stay away!!
Faulty hair straightener.
I received a faulty hair straightener from Salon Total in December. I sent it back weeks ago and asked for a refund.
They have told me that they will replace it but I would rather a refund as I needed it for Christmas. I haven't heard back from them since.

I am pleased others have been luckier, however in scrolling down reviews (which I wish I'd read first) the balance is - do not order from this company - shocking!
Ordered on Wednesday morning 3rd November. Then saw the reviews and was worried. Didn’t need to be. Arrived Friday morning 5th November. Very impressed.

On September the 23rd I placed a large order for kerestase prouducts, well into 3 figures.
The first red flag was I didn’t receive a “your order is on its way” email so after chasing this up after a few days via both email and phone I was assured it had been posted.
Fast forward 2 weeks..... still no parcel.
Contact salon total again, apparent problem with DPD couriers, again assured it would be here!
It’s now Friday the 15th of October and I requested a refund only to be told there is a problem with the package and I cannot get a refund until the courier has returned the package to them and they don’t know when that will be due to delays.
Will never use this company again and would strongly advise anyone considering it not to bother, appaling service and as yet not even sure if or when I will receive my refund.
I had ordered 2 bottles of Keratase shampoo on Monday 11/10/21 and just received the package today 14/10/21 - pretty good!! Delivery is with DPD and I had received emails with details of 1 hour slot when DPD would be delivering my package and the bottles arrived in great condition - packed really well!
Thank you for the good price, speedy delivery and excellent product, been a good experience for me so I'll definitely order again in the future.
I never write reviews but given the negative publicity the company is getting here I thought I'd share my experience to balance things out!
I placed my order apprehensively given the "not so good" reviews. But I took the risk because this was the only website where I could find the product I really wanted (for a reasonable price).
I live in Ireland (ROI). I placed my order on Sunday 26/09. The package was dispatched on Monday 27/09 and delivered to me today Thursday 30/09.
Delighted with my product, speediness of delivery and overall service. Would happily reorder from this company based on this experience.
I made my order on the 12/09/21, shortly after ordering I realised that my house number was missed off my delivery address and I then read the horror story reviews on here, so I was very concerned that I wouldn’t get my order and I would lose my money.
I emailed their customer service with the missing detail for my address and they acknowledged this. I received an order confirmation (12/09/21), shipment confirmation (15/09/21) and the products were delivered on 21/09/21. Overall I have no complaint about this company, my only issue is that the timescale from ordering to delivery to delivery is longer than most of this company’s competitors. They are based in Netherlands and not the UK
I ordered two bottles of Kerastase shampoo which were very good value comparing prices to other suppliers. I then looked at the reviews for this company and got quite concerned as to whether I would get them.
I am delighted to say that having ordered them Thursday, they were delivered on Tuesday. Great communication throughout from the company re purchasing and then delivery notifications. I will certainly be buying from them again and can only say that my experience with them was first class.
When your parcel doesn’t arrive (and it won’t) call DPD on 01212754854 and ask them to confirm what’s happened to your parcel. They will tell you it’s stuck in customs because SalonTotal filled out the EORI number with a UK number when it should have been a Netherlands number. That’s because SalonTotal claim to be based in the UK, but they are lying. SalonTotal will also have put your name and email address where theirs should be so when DPD try to contact them they can’t.
DPD can’t alter the EORI number while it’s stuck in customs so I’m sorry to say, your parcel won’t get to you.
You will be able to get a refund though.
Contact SalonTotal and tell them what DPD have said regarding incorrect EORI number. They will ask you to fill out a form. Guess what. Don’t fill out that form. Do not. Just don’t. Reply to them and say you need written confirmation that filling out this form WILL result in an immediate refund and WILL NOT result in any further cost or inconvenience to you. They will offer you a refund in 2-3 working days.
Ordered then looked at reviews so was a bit dubious. But ordered on Friday it’s the following Thursday and everything got delivered with full tracking throughout its journey. Everything arrived in perfect condition so will definitely order again.
Not impressed with Salontotal. Thought I was buying from a UK company. Purchased over 2 weeks ago and still no items. Got In touch with DPD and found out it’s stuck in customs due to the wrong paperwork. They informed me my items were shipped from the Netherlands. If I had known this I would have never purchased from salontotal as I need the items urgently.
I wish when they say UK based, they were honest about where your items come from.
Won’t be using again!.

They advertise one shipping price in their terms and conditions but charge a higher one on payment. I've told them this is not good but they really don't see it as a problem. Not an honest business practice.
Ordered goods, expected mid Feb. DPD tracking showed as stuck in Netherlands (not a UK business despite UK website). Emailed and they said sorry and we’re sorting. Now March and goods been in UK since 26th Feb stuck at DPD Oldbury I’ve emailed 4 times over the last week and been totally ignored. This morning parcel status changed to return to sender. Have had to raise a card chargeback with my bank. Disgusting and will never use again!
Order arrived within 2 weeks. Great value shampoo and conditioner. I’m happy.
I received emails updating me of my order status (including that it would be delayed by a few days). Delivery in 2 weeks was good for me.
