Avoid – still no rug after 9 months

Ordered a rug in December with the promise it would arrive before Christmas. It never came. After chasing, I was told by Sam in January that it had been “dispatched” – as if that was their job done and I should just accept it. Since then, radio silence.

This wasn’t just any rug – it was a play mat for my child. Nine months later, we still have no rug, no refund, and no real communication. Disgraceful customer service.

Not sure if this company is even still trading, but if they are – avoid at all costs.

01/05/25 Company no longer trading. 11/04 only part of my order - a very large rug and underlay - eventually(!) arrived. With no underlay I couldn't lay the rug. My lounge furniture had been cleared so I had to relay my original rug and replace the furniture. To be fair the underlay was refunded but I needed to send the rug back as I couldn't face the whole removal of furniture again (with no guarantee of when the underlay would turn up). On 22/04 James offered to get the rug picked up. On 01/05 I chased James for pick up, he said the company was no longer trading and I should arrange the return of the rug. With no guarantee of getting my money back I contacted AmEx who advised not to send it back and they would chase my refund - AmEx refunded me thank goodness! I'm still waiting to find out what to do with the rug!!

Avoid

After about 10 days I received an email saying they had cancelled my order and I would be refunded. The refund didn’t complete and couldn’t get any response from them. Thankfully I paid by PayPal so obtained my refund, eventually.

If you want an actual rug go somewhere else

I don't understand why I have to give at least 1 star because this outfit - I won't call it a company - doesn't deserve it. I understood the rug I ordered was in stock. After several weeks I realised it wasn't
with no date when, or if, it would be. James didn't tell me this, the penny dropped after loads of emails and excuses. James offered me a slightly different colour and he assured me it was in stock and could be delivered within a week. 2 weeks later nothing, just brief generic emails which told me nothing. After a bit of research it appears James is the only person working there, possible from his kitchen table. After cancelling the order I finally got a rebate well after the legal time he was supposed to have reimbursed me. In the meantime my money is earning interest in HIS bank account. This should be call Scammi-Homes. Avoid using this con man at all costs, because it will cost you.

Frustrated knobs

How the heck do you get a response from this company. I wish I had looked at the reviews before buying!
6 out 8 handles received 6 weeks after ordering. A returned order not acknowledged or refunded yet.

Is this a scam company ?

Buy at you peril. Ordered rug and got no response about delivery so had to go through PayPal. They Started a refund to keep PayPal off their back, clever, but a week later they cancelled that so still waiting. Check their business on Company House very dodgy. They are owned by a fraudster that’s just taking the money.
I’ve reported to fraud team.

Awaiting refund

Refunded a rug saying that I requested it, I did not. Still waiting for the money to actually arrive in my account.

Update: Weeks later still waiting. I'm going to get my bank to do a charge back.

States express delivery but no delivery

States express delivery. Waited 8 days was told would be dispatched early this week after banj holiday. Waited 2 weeks still no tracking. I asked them to dispatch and send tracking. Got email stating they could not fulfill order. Got another saying cancelled at customer request. I did not request this was their action. Terrible service. Avoid

Apparently “In Stock” Means Nothing

Very disappointed with this company. I placed an order for a rug during a sale, only to find out days later—after I had to chase them myself—that the item wasn’t even in stock. No communication whatsoever. I was told I’d be the first to receive it once restocked, but instead, they just went ahead and cancelled my order without asking. Now that the sale is over, I’m expected to re-order at full price. Feels incredibly dishonest and like a bait-and-switch tactic. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Pleasantly surprised

I was really sceptical after I ordered for two reasons. 1. The price was fantastic due to Easter discount. 2. The reviews were worrying. Luckily for me my rug arrived within 3days! Amazing quality and amazing price. It made me wonder why others had issues. I feel the business is trying to work on the negatives and they have done a good job in my case. Thank you!!

Fab rug!

Can’t fault the rug… competitive price and top quality. Sadly the delivery wasn’t what I expected. The delivery was left propped against my front door. No ring of the bell, no knock on the door. Luckily it was still there when I looked and hadn’t been stolen.

20+ emails, 5 month delay and no refund - avoid!

All seemed well at first, but I certainly won't be using this company again after a nightmare experience.

Constant delays, and constantly chasing information from the company. After a 20+ email chain the item was delayed time after time, eventually being delayed 5+ months. Opting for a refund (still not received), I am £300+ out of pocket and now looking to recover funds through credit card company.

Not impressed.

Good product, when it eventually arrived. Wouldn’t use again

I wish I’d read other reviews before placing my order. I’m actually really happy with my rug now it’s here, but I waited 9 weeks for a product which said it was in stock with a 1-2 day dispatch date which isn’t acceptable. I would have been okay with it if any of the delays had been proactively communicated but this was not the case on any of the occasions, all of the updates I received were because I chased for them, it seemed like they were hoping I’d forgotten when dates came and went with no rug and no update. Customer service responded quickly and politely but that didn’t help when all you got was an updated timescale that wasn’t adhered to, with no proactive update or apology. Wouldn’t use this company again despite the good product which is a shame, all they needed to do was communicate.

Positive interaction with Scandi home

Positive interaction with Scandi home.
Unfortunately my item was out of stock (as was everywhere else) after ordering.
James offered a smaller sized rug but I already own it.
Order was easily cancelled and refunded within 24 hours.
I hope to be able to use again in the future as I consider them trustworthy.

Ordered a rug and I ordered from them because of their 3-4 day delivery.
Well that was a joke, 11 days later 4 emails later
To be told it would be another two days before showing dispatched .
Scandi really need to set realistic delivery dates and if your order is going to be late, a polite email would not go a miss .
When the rug eventually arrived it was fab .
Would I buy from them again, No .
