Amazing once in a lifetime experience

Great Company. Everything was well organised. So many special experiences just for Scenic groups. Excellent tour organisers and well informed guides with great local knowledge. All at a standard you’d expect from a Company known for quality and a touch of luxury. Highly recommended.

What an amazing experience we have had. All the staff onboard scenic eclipse give 100%. Incredible discovery team led by Xavier, again all gave 💯. It should be on everyone's bucket list. The whole tour of the Mekong was so well put together and all to an exceptional standard. Hotels and the river boat the Scenic Spirit spectacular. Food was outstanding from start to finish. However the real stars of the whole trip was the STAFF. So so genuinely friendly and eager to please. We will be booking this trip again ........

It was a wonderful experience on a beautiful ship. The crew were friendly and worked very hard to make everything perfect.
The food was wonderful especially in the Yacht Club ( the breakfast and lunch buffet) and at Lumiere, the French restaurant.
The cabin was spotless and comfortable although I’d have liked a bath tub as well as the shower,

The cruise itself was excellent, but the flights and booking process was terrible. We could not get tickets until less than a week before departure due to Scenic locking our travel Agent out of the site. Our flights were shown as KLM all the way, but one flight out was changed to Tarom without warning. Seats were not even together, and the flight was significantly delayed. Our baggage was also lost, and was finally recovered(badly damaged) 9 days into the cruise which significantly impaired my partners enjoyment - we then had to travel across a foreign country, losing a further day of our cruise, at our own expense to recover the case. Surprisingly, we have experienced continual buck passing between airlines, and have still not been recompensed by either for the taxi fares or the baggage replacement cost. Scenic were aware of all the issues from the outset, and were helpful on board, but although a full Report was submitted by the Cruise Manager to his Head Office, and a follow up was made by our Travel Agent, we have heard nothing further since.

Exceptional experience on the Scenic Spirit Mekong River cruise.
The cruise itself was outstanding. The onboard team, guides, service, accommodation, and overall experience were of the highest quality.

Entertainment in evenings good. There appeared to be several illness cases on board, think may have been known to staff. We both contacted a virus which restricted last few days on board

The whole trip was superbly well organised.
The ship was beautiful, the crew lovely, the food excellent, the land trips really informative and enjoyable, our cabin surprisingly spacious and very well designed to accommodate our ‘overpacking’! Impressive shower, very comfortable bed. My only disappointment with the cabin was the French balcony. It really spoiled our enjoyment of watching life on the river.
Opening the window made it worse as you then had to look through two panes of quite dirty windows. Shutting the glass door made the space very claustrophobic. The door runners were a constant trip hazard- why can’t you have proper verandas? However, we loved spending time by/in the pool and on the top deck.

Total luxury , fantastic crew throughout scenic amber ship . They all regularly went the extra mile to ensure all guests enjoyed a fabulous experience. In particular they made sure that I and my wife were able to manage my disability with their assistance to such an extent that it did not compromise our excellent experience on this cruise whatsoever. A big thank you to all the crew of scenic amber . Special thanks to Sanja of house keeping for looking after our cabin 209. Also to Harris , maitre D for ensuring my particular dietary requirements were catered for at every meal. This made a huge difference to my onboard dining experience and enjoyment of the superb food ,which was truly fine dining at its best.Also a big thank you to Jersey , whom regularly waited table for us and assisted Harris with my particular requirements without fail ,on every occasion with his warm and friendly personality. Last but definitely not least , a huge thank you to our cruise director, Renata , she always went the extra mile to ensure every aspect of myself and my wife's cruise experience would be outstanding and Renata succeeded in this with flying colours on every occasion . Renata is a truly exceptional , capable and genuinely warm and friendly person. Thank you so much , I and my wife look forward to travelling with you again as we enjoyed our experience with Scenic amber so much , we will not cruise with any other line other than Scenic in the future.

The key difference between Scenic & other River Cruise companies we have been with is the staff - they cannot do enough for you & are so friendly.
Another difference is the quality of the local guides. On the whole the guides are really engaging, well educated and very knowledgeable about their subject.
Another difference is that Scenic is fully inclusive with no extras once you are on board.
