Good experience overall. Very friendly staff, especially towards families. The process was fast and efficient. From a ferry, I mainly expect safe transport from A to B, and that was fulfilled. The ferries are rather old but seem to be well maintained. Everything was great. Suitable for families.
Not trustworthy
My ferry was canceled (I was told by the attendant at the port) due to strong winds. As I had to catch a flight I booked on the next outgoing Ferry which was Blue star. Sea jets refuses to refund me claiming it wasn't canceled just delayed. I was at the port and didn't see any other boats leave. Regardless even if it was only delayed, the attendant said it was canceled and I had to make other arrangements with that information! They don't care. $115 down the drain.

Very rude customer service - two unpleasant encounters with staff in two days.
Getting the ferry from Skiathos to Skopelos. I couldn't check-in for tickets online, so on the day went to the Seajets office Skiathos Port and asked for a printed ticket. The colleague was rude and told me I'd left it too late to check in and should have done it earlier (I hadn't, I'd been trying continually in the 48 hours before as instructed).
At a day in Skopelos Town I went to the Seajets office and asked if I could have paper tickets in case the same thing happened again. The colleague was extremely rude to me throughout. She said 'no, we don't like paper, we are trying to save the planet!'. I explained what had happened in Skiathos. She said 'try to check-in 48 hours before, when did you try before?'. I explained that I had done this before, and in Skopelos I was staying on the other side of the island and leaving from Agnontas Port where I believe there is no ticket office, so if it didn't work I wouldn't be able to get tickets. We said we could recycle the tickets if that was a problem, she rudely said 'no you won't, but fine!' and printed them. When I offered to pay she took offence to this also saying 'why are you trying to pay? Did I say anything about paying just now?!'. I explained at Skiathos I'd paid €1 per ticket so was happy to again.
It is really unnecessary to upset and be so rude to customers who are only making polite requests, it really took us aback as it was so unprovoked. It is not customers fault if the online check-in does not work and they want to make sure they can use the tickets they paid for. It also is odd for a colleague of a ferry company to argue with customers about saving the planet. Looking at other reviews this unprofessional conduct seems common.
Only use them if you have no other…
Only use them if you have no other choice, their massively inflated prices make this a tourist service only massively penalizing and limiting the options of Greek people. Tourists should do more to not encourage this foul behavior from corporations. Also the staff shout at you the ships and boarding procedures are dangerous causing many injuries per year. There is no extra service from the more traditional ferries that are charming and a much more pleasant experience to enjoy while you are in Greece.

If I could give it a zero I would. Horrible on-boarding onto the ship. Left Athens at 9:30 am enroute to Naxos, which was the ferry’s third stop.
After leaving athens the waves were so terrible that 80% of the people on board were vomitting. Thought we were going down it was so rough. Then at our third port Parus, we sat at the port for over an hour only to move a couple of miles off the port and sit for another hour with absolutely no communication as to what was happening. After inquiring we were told that two anchors were stuck together and they have divers working on it. We were supposed to arrive in Naxos at 1:40 pm. It’s now 6:30 pm and we are still just off the port. They announced about an hour ago that we can get free water and coffee. Can’t blame the staff for the anchor issues but communication would have been great! Hopefully they’ll issue a refund for the $100 terrible ferry ride!

Efficient way or moving between the islands
I was a bit worried because of all the negative reviews, but in the end had a really good experience. We were island hopping so had a total of 4 trips. To address most of the complaints here:
- It was comfy to travel. We got the better seats, but that's not airline first class. It's more like business class on a train, more legroom and less crowded. Just as expected. And it's also not a cruise ships, there won't be an army of people to attend to your needs. If you need a drink or some food, you wait in line at the bar.
- Considering there are hundreds of people getting on and off at each stop, plus a few dozen cars, boarding and deboarding is quite efficient. Especially since they need to do it fast and move on to the next destination. If you think it's a cruise ship and someone will welcome you with a glass of champagne, call you by your name, grab your bags and walk you to your seat - no, it's not. It's a mass transportation ship, like a bus or a train. Get on, stow your luggage and find a seat. Might be confusing the very first time, but one the second trip you should know the process.
- Delays - yes it's mass transportation, it's usually late. And delays accumulate throughout the day. First hours in the morning will be up to 5 min late, but later in the afternoon that could grow to 40-50 minutes. You can use the OpenFerry app for live tracking so you know when to get ready at the dock. And I'm sure most of the delays are caused by the few tourists who still think it's a cruise ship and wait for help or ask a hundred questions.

Prenez les compagnies grecques avec des gros ferry Aegean sea pour visiter les îles sinon n allez pas dans les îles car c est vraiment très mal organisé et géré.

Never ever again - we ended up rebooking our return tickets.

Je suis porteur d'une carte européenne handicapé avec accompagnant mais ils n'en n'ont pas tenus compte, nous sommes restés longtemps debout après le départ du bateau..
Je déconseille fortement quand l'intérêt de la compagnie reste de gagner plus d'argent en vendant plusieurs fois Le même siege au détriment des passagers. Que dire du personnel qui est plus que incompétents, pas de vérifications, et du capitaine qui n'a même pas daigné solutionné la situation.
Bref la faute a personne et la responsabilité de personne...

Ich kann Seajet auch nicht empfehlen, da die Gesellschaft kurzfristig die Abfahrtszeiten ändert, das ist uns 3 x passiert. wIr haben wegen der Abfahrtszeit
Eine Übernachtung verfallen lassen, damit wir in Kissamos zu einer vernünftigen Zeit ankommen. Leider wurde dann der nachmittagstermin auf 20.20 Uhr hochgesetzt, so dass man um 12 Uhr in der Nacht ankommt, wenn alles geschlossen ist. Für jede Umbuchung muss man dann noch bezahlen, dass ist kein kundenfreundliches Unternehmen.

Never use this ferry.we bought tickets from Athena to Santorini and Santorini to Athena,we thought it's fast.first the they cancelled the ticket from Athena early in the morning without any notice,and changed it with a ticket at 11 pm so we lost one day in santorini.when we entered the ferry the charged us extra fee for the car and it was in case the we already choosed the largest size in buying tickets.the ferry stopped at many Greece island and waste a lot of time so it's a actually slower than the other lines.its dirty and the seats are not comfortable
They deny refund
They cancelled our original departure from Rafina port to Naxos and placed us on the boat from Peiraeus after we called them. When we boarded the boat they asked us to pay additional money for the cars as the fee from Peiraeus was higher than the one from Rafina. We payed the fee and sent an email to ask for refund as the original cancellation was not our fault and neither was it due to weather conditions. They rejected the refund even though we are entitled to it according to EU law 1177/2010. They are claiming they follow the law fully, but are unable show to the paragraph that supports their claims. Complete joke of a company.
In other news very chaotic and dangerous embarking and disembarking. Rude staff in the garage of the vessel.

Très mauvaise expérience avec cette compagnie. Nous avions réservé une traversée sifnos/milos avec une autre compagnie et au moment de partir, un des personnels nous aiguille en hurlant tout ce qu'il peut vers le bateau seajets sans prendre le temps de regarder les billets. Résultat, nous sommes montés dans le mauvais bateau (bien que vers la la bonne destination). De là, nous avons affaire à un monsieur très agacé (qui ne se préoccupe pas du tout de savoir pourquoi on est là et que ma campagne -enceinte- soit debout et en stress) qui nous facture donc de nouveaux billets (plein tarif) sans aucune excuse, aucune empathie et nous disant seulement qu'on a de la chance d'être montés dans ce bateau et pas un qui allait ailleurs. Pire il nous confisque les passeports tant que l'on a pas payé (pourtant il n'est pas de la police). Nous sommes 7 dans ce cas sur le bateau et d'après les avis en ligne, c'est quelque chose d'habituel avec seajets. Pratique d'attrape touriste donc qui fait très mauvais effet sur le voyage et le pays en général. Bien faire vérifier vos billets avant de monter même si on vous pousse à embarquer. Et surtout ne confiez jamais votre passeport et fuyez vraiment cette compagnie aux habitudes malsaines/malhonnêtes d'escrocs de bas niveau.

Worst ferry experience ever. Every single ferry was delayed, packed with people, zero information. We had to change the ferry to get to our destination without any prior information. Last time!

Retard a chaque voyage horaire qui change tout les jours aucuneinformation sur certain port, personnel de bord désagréable, le mec a pas voulut me faire chauffer un panini sous prétexte quil y a du monde tu vend quelque choses qui est sensé être cuit tu ne refuse pas le cuire enfaire !! Vend des sièges en doublons et apres on se fait engeuler car on est pas au bonne endroit dans le ferry il demande de montrer le billets que jai jeter a l'entrée du ferry et on me dit que je suis un menteur première et dernière fois dans ces ferry, et aucun droit de sortir lors de traverser de 7h cets une honte

Ferry cancelled due to bad weather. Nothing wrong with that. In the text message they say that they will come back with more information at 11.00. Now, 24 hours later, no new information. Nothing on their website or in SOME. Nothing,nada, zero. If you call them you get disconnected after e few minutes while waiting in line. Tried 4 times now. Other companies have information on their website and on FB. This must happen every season and they have no routines to inform their passengers. Luckily a travel agency on site could finally give some information and rebook the ticket which was necessary.

After standing in line for 1 hour in the sun and rude staff, I was just told to email the website since they said seajet website wasn’t the same company as seajet at the port. I have emailed and tried to call. You can’t get through with the phone call. This company is a big scam! Don’t ever buy from them

Viaggio da Santorini a Mykonos da dimenticare! Inizialmente sembrava tutto ok, ma dopo circa un'ora e mezza di navigazione è cominciato l'incubo! La barca ha iniziato ad andare su e giù ad altissima velocità, da li il panico, la gente ha cominciato ad avere paura ed a sentirsi male, mezza nave ha vomitato, anche io sono stata malissimo, è stato il giorno più brutto della mia vita! Durato oltre 35 minuti, un'eternità! Non prenderò mai più questa compagnia, e la sconsiglio a tutti, soprattutto per chi soffre di mal di mare, questa è gente senza scrupoli che pensa solo a fare soldi sulla pelle dei viaggiatori, VERGOGNA!!!
