Thanks for your review was looking for a seekers type service being new to Rochester and seeing no comment from the church says a lot will keep looking.

I first became a member of Seekers Church in 2010. During the time I have been with Seekers Church, I have been the leader of the Homeless People Outreach program and the Spiritual Director of a mission group for many years. I am also a disabled member of the community and at times, poverty stricken with a limited education. They do a lot of really good things for the community and have helped many of their parishioners in many ways including myself. They have, in fact, helped me so much. But many of the leaders of this church have a very dark side as well. I have personally experienced bullying, insults, condescending behavior, disrespect, questioning my integrity, head games, contriving abusive behavior accounts to put themselves in a good light before the church community, showed me absolutely zero compassion or empathy towards during times I struggled most, and even threats from people in the church who hold such titles as pastor, president, steward, servant leader and are professionals in the community to include lawyers and doctors and social workers. And even my 12-Step Program sponsor who I shared my deepest feelings with every day for over 5 years. They absolutely refuse to own any of it. They will not apologize at all. And have even told me to leave the church if I don't like it. It hurts a lot to have to write this review and to say these things about people in my own church family, but I think it's important to let folks know. I don't think this is a good solid place to grow in your spirituality. I might add that Seekers Church is well aware of this review and still, they have not responded at all.
