Birdie made our registry a breeze. We already have the sheets and blender etc.. so cash felt more practical. Adding Birdie on Minted site took a few minutes. I’ve already told two engaged friends to use Birdie if they want an easy, cash registry.
They require so many hurdles for you to access your cash gifts- including proving your identity and then blocking any transfers to transfer cash. Either their app is buggy or there is some really shady stuff going on in their business practices. Minted should never have partnered with this company- very shady of both of them
I used AmericanGreetings.com to send a high school Salutatorian and included a $200 Gift option which goes thru SENDBIRDIE.COM I get a happy "thank you!" from the student then a "sorry to bother you but they won't let me access your generous gift, I am only 17". I write to help at americangreetings.com.... 3 days, crickets. I find a help form for americangreetings.com and send in detail request for advice, a week goes by an I get a one-liner - "try help at sendbirdie.com we don't handle that". I write to help at sendbirdie.com and a get a one liner that the order has been cancelled and two hours later I get a $5.00 charge on my Discover for SENDBIRDIE.COM, apparently there is a $5 pain in the butt charge. Just do not think that you can use this feature to give students surprises, they don't tell you except in the very fine print that you never see, but the student will be disappointed and you will regret the transaction.
