Expect Great Service!

I could go long here, but I'll start on this key point. What makes any global 'tech' organization think that a well-prompted AI engine can suffice for concerns from an actual human? "Tell me again, are you calling about your phone or the internet?"

It's infuriating. Yet it seems SendLayer consciously set their system prompts to fix the glaring disconnect. As a result, my system works and I couldn't be more thrilled. They reply promptly and express specific case concerns, in real time.

I was having trouble getting my emails…

I was having trouble getting my emails through to GMail users from my website but after implementing Sendlayer it was resolved. I did hit a snag but their support line quickly gave me the resolution and the solution solved my issues. Happy user.

The website adds email to suppression…

The website adds email to suppression list internally which is beyond your control. Ive submitted a ticket to have the email removed and until this day I have not revieved any email from them

Hey there,

We believe that we were able to track down your ticket in our support system to better understand the issue.

Regarding the issue, as one of our support members explained in the reply, your email server rejected the email to that specific email address, that is why it was placed on the suppression list. In the logs (attached in the above-mentioned reply), you can see the exact reason why it was rejected.

Please note, when you send an email to a recipient, that address may be added to the suppression list if any of the following occur:

- The recipient's email server is down.
- There is no active mailbox for the recipient email address.
- The recipient's email server rejects your email.
- The recipient's email address only allows messages from specific domains.
- The recipient marks your email as spam.
- The recipient unsubscribes from your emails, etc.

This safeguard helps protect your SendLayer account and maintain deliverability.

When we are checking the specific email address you mentioned in the support ticket, it doesn't have an active mailbox. You can check this on your own here: https://email-checker.net/.

And based on your SendLayer logs, emails to other email addresses are being sent successfully.

No free trial, charge you and then put on hold

Short free trial (and hard to notice).
Charged me $60 for the whole year.
Then I got email "Your SendLayer Account is Temporarily on Hold!"
Brevo aka SendBlue has a free plan altogether.
It took some emailing with support to remove the hold.

Additionally, we reviewed your support ticket to gain a better understanding of the issue with putting your account on hold.

As our support team mentioned, according to our Acceptable Use Policy (https://sendlayer.com/aup/), the domain you verify in your SendLayer account needs to be linked to an active website. The domain you first added didn't meet that requirement, and that's why the account was put on hold.

This rule helps protect your account from spam issues. Without a recognizable website tied to the domain, emails might look suspicious or spammy to recipients — and we definitely want to help you avoid that.

After this was cleared, our support team reactivated your account almost right away.

Easy to Reach Support; Fast and Useful Response

I've been using SendLayer for a couple years, and this was my first time with an issue. An email wasn't getting through and the other company's IT staff insisted we needed an additional DNS entry for SendLayer to work. Instead of insisting their DNS entries were correct, SendLayer sent me an official statement and pointed me to the root problem - and even offered a solution. This was all within half an hour. I was VERY impressed!

Pathetic company will ruin your business over a fresh WordPress site

I run an e-commerce website. I pay sendlayer $216.00 per year just send some registration and order update emails. My account is in good standing. I'm preparing to launch another e-commerce site. It's all ready to go, just need working emails. So I add a 2nd domain to my account. SendLayer goes ahead and suspends my whole account! My main e-commerce website loses all email capability! It's because SendLayer suspends your entire account when you add a website that has not been established. Without any warning. So they disabled my emails and went to enjoy their weekend. They won't look into this until Monday! No reasonable person would ever expect a company to suspend email delivery to their entire account over a freshly added WordPress site. What a bunch of jokers! Now I have to spend my weekend moving to a better provider just to keep my business running.

They refunded me and made changes to their system so that it no longer locks the entire account down.

Thank you for your honest review. Based on your feedback, we have already improved our spam prevention process and are now only suspending the domain that failed our spam checks.

We try to be as thorough as possible and prevent any potential spammers from misusing our system and causing our users' deliveries to suffer. That's why we have anti-spam checks in place.

Sometimes there is also a false positive, as it was in your case, and we are very sorry about that.

We will continuously improve our service so that we can provide the best solution for our users and prevent spammers from causing delivery issues.

We will also prioritize and resolve account suspensions over the weekends, so that such use cases will not happen again for our users.

Refused to work with us over white label domain

They are not SendGrid or Mailgun, that's for sure. We're a web development agency that built a large system for our client. Due to the client maintaining authority over their DNS, the easiest solution for us would be to use a white label/generic domain name that we had authority over, since we cannot access our client's branded domain. SendLayer refused to allow this and demanded that we setup the account on our client's domain, which we do not have access to - the entire reason why we're using a white label domain to begin with.

We’ve reviewed your support ticket to better understand the situation.

According to our Acceptable Use Policy (https://sendlayer.com/aup/), you must have an active website associated with the domain that you verify in your SendLayer account. But the domain you've shared with us doesn't match this criteria.

This requirement exists to protect your account from spam complaints, as users would not get emails from the actual product domain but would get them from a generic, unrecognizable domain that can be considered spam-like.

Truly best email client you can get for your business. They will monitor your spam and will intervene shuld any issues arise with full explanation and solution so you dont waste your paid for emai package.

We would like to say big thanks to their support in helping resolving spam issues and quick in taking actions. Their support is amazing with same day response rate.

5* from us, used them for over 2 years and can only say good things about them. Highly recommended.

Signed up for Sendlayer yesterday

Signed up for Sendlayer yesterday, never received a welcome email, but they took my $60. Sent them an email because something wasn't working; never heard back from them. Tried signing into the acct. this morning and they are telling me they don't have that email . Tried sending them another email to contact me, and still haven't heard back. I either want my money back or need them to contact me to settle this and get things rolling. Wondering if they are legit. I even gave them my phone #, and CONVENIENTLY they don't have a phone # to contact them. Tried even sending a ticket, and it wouldn't let me; I am assuming because I couldn't get into my account. I DEMAND THEY CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY AND RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!

A bumpy start, then good support

The initial responses to support request consisted of repeatedly getting links to the same documents--none of which were applicable in my case. However, eventually, I was in contact with a support tech who was helpful and patient--and got me to documents and videos that helped me solve the problem. So while the initial responses weren't that helpful, ultimately, I received the support I needed.
