when we lived in pennsylvania I had a guy named Carl that someone recommended to me come and do small household tasks (assemble furniture, hang tvs, etc)... when I moved to NY i had no idea who to hire as my new handyman. a coworker recommended I post my tasks that i need done on servicerunner, and now I have a handyman (named john) that is even better than Carl was. nothing but the best to say about this service.

Friendly guy came over, less than 5 minutes he said everything was OK. Said he will give a report as proof but never sent me anything.

Service Runner is fine. For it to add value it needs far more users and contractors. If I were more serious about getting contracting work done I might opt for a user-pay site instead. But give it a shot.

I have used the service a couple of times so far for both painting and some repairs. I have been very pleased with the quality of the service providers that I was introduced to and the outcome was excellent in both cases. I would gladly use this service again and plan to recommend it to all of my family and friends. Thank you ServiceRunner!

An easy and affordable solution for difficult problems

I was moving out of the city and needed to find a mover as well as someone to toss some furniture I wasn't planning to keep. Servicerunner was a great tool for me - through them I was able to price shop, negotiate, and find two people at great prices for the work. I wish they had servicerunner.com where I am now!

ServiceRunner.com is easy to use and a great resource for finding contractors in NYC! I have used it multiple times and am very happy with the completed jobs, the contractors have been extremely reliable and easy to work with! I was moving from New Jersey to Downtown Brooklyn. I had called a lot of different movers with very little to show for it. (some didn't call back, some had crazy rates!). I found servicerunner.com online and was able to find a mover in no time at all for a great price. Will definitely use again for my home improvement needs.
