Stay away from them

I would like to warn other small brands thinking in trying Sewport - Connecting Brands with Clothing Manufacturers
Do not do it without reading all the reviews. I did not, and now, I'm loosing $270 they are not wanting to refund.

My experience with Sewport had been not good at all. I tried the platform to find manufacturers for one year (I mean, I payed for one year, but used it only for a few months).
In my particular case, their manufacturer search tools and filters did not work at all: I need manufactures that complies with ethical and sustainable practices, have certifications, etc, and there was not way to filter that.
I tried manually (filtering in other way, and going one at a time) but it had so many errors, the final list was not even similar to the filters I added, and most of the times, the final results were gone from the screen again and again. Many of the manufacturers did not sound even real.
I stopped using it after 3 months of spending my precious time, without any result. I completely forgot about them. They did not send me any email AT ALL, to remind me about the renewal coming up, news, or any kind of communication that made me realized an annual renewal was coming. They charged me directly $270cad for the next annual membership. I saw the charge the same day. Tried to stop it at my bank. Send them an email. Cancel the membership. They answered many times ONLY repeating the same: when you sign for the first year trial (not free, $95 USD), when you "agree to the conditions" you are saying yes to be charged without a reminder email. Well, I'm not used to that.

I'm located in BC, Canada, where that is illegal. Aside being obviously an unethical practice even if in their country (UK) is legal to do that according to them.
I've been emailing them back and forth. They are not willing to refund me, even reaching to them the same day they charged me, the first day my new membership started.
In my personal and professional experience, this had never happened to me. I had to cancel in the past other subscriptions that I forgot, same day, and I got refunded without hesitation.
So unless you really dont care about ethics and sustainability behind your manufacturers, and you are ok with unethical providers, I do not recommend them at all.
I wish I had a warning about them one year ago...

Terrible website and customer service

Terrible website and customer service. They charge a monthly fee which would be OK if the manufacturers actually did the job in a timely manner. I paid 100 in march for a sample and its now September. I can't even get a refund because customer service is non existent. Avoid this website at all cost.

If I could give no stars, I would. I signed up last year with the advertised $91 and $316AUD was taken out of my bank account. The company claims to be in London so you would think if the currency is not GBP then it’s either my country’s currency (AUD) or USD. NEITHER equate to $316AUD! I immediately complained and tried to get some sort of explanation out of them and they ignored me completely. I immediately unsubscribed and fast forward to March 2025, ANOTHER $316AUD was taken out of my account! I’ve had no communications with Sewport since they ignored my complaint and out of nowhere, they took another $316AUD out of my account! This place is an absolute scam! Do not sign up whatsoever, it’s a disgusting trap!

I cannot express my disgust and disappointment in sewport and the manufacturer kandgth sports. The manager is abusive and manipulative and when they send orders tyne refuse to correct their errors. All samples wrong size and they sewed tags on outside of garments. Then abuses my people and my culture. I have lost almost 2000.00 and now no clothes for my fashion show. I would not recommend kandgth sports or sewport in any way as they also don't help you to fix these sort of issues

unusual charge on my bank account

They somehow got my account information, I never signed up for anything from sewput.com but they wouldn't even look into the charge without me giving them most of my credit or debit card number. I tried to give them the opportunity to fix it, but instead I'm on hold with the fraud department for my bank.

DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE!! Like many reviews here, I signed up to a free trial and have since had three months worth of money come out of my account. I've just spent the last hour on the phone to my card merchant who will hopefully get the money back and have blocked them from taking any more. Approached Sewport only to get an automated response. Total rubbish! Fiverr is a much better place to source.

Deceptive Company Practices!! Do Not Use Sewport!

I tried Sewport throught the discounted first month offer. I then went to cancel my subscription and was given an offer to stay a premium subscriber for just $1 a month. I figured it was worth it to see if I could connect with a few more manufacturers. I then got a fraud notification from my bank because they attempted to double charge me- I realized that they've been charging me the full $24.95 monthly fee!! So ridiculous. I am so thankful the bank brought this to my attention- I tried letting Sewport know about the situation and was not helped at all. I'm going through my bank to alert the fraud and try to recoup the costs.

Misleading

Advertises a ‘free sign up’ then one you do everything is behind a paywall. There is absolutely nothing you can do on the website without paying.

From my experience...

From my experience, greedy and slimly are good words to describe this organization. Hosting a useful website looks to be way secondary in their business plan than getting you to pay to check it out and then stealthily billing you month after month after month. Yeah, it's "stupid me" for not remembering to cancel, but "greedy them" for no kindness or consideration when they know that, after first checking it out, you have not used the site for one second. Quality websites and quality people do not need to function this way.

They do not notify you when they take money for a yearly subscription and the user interface is poor. I disputed the £150 payment taken from my card. BE VERY CAREFUL THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT NOTIFYING YOU. I joined in July last year and then they took money in July this year from my AMEX Card with no notification. Throughout the year I received NO communication and no communication prior to the payment.

scam

scam. there is no way to cancel your subscription once you sign up for the free trial, they automatically move you over to their monthly charge. the unsubscribe option on their website simply does not lead to anywhere. and they gave me a nonexistent email address and phone number to contact when I need help. A sad joke.

This site doesn’t even deserve a star it’s so bad how they trick people in paying for the subscription. I actually never signed up for it and they went ahead charging me.
The site is not even good for what they charge. Don’t waste your time. I never leave reviews but in this case I’m furious and wouldn’t want anyone to be treated unfairly.

Another one bites the dust.

A free trial followed by automatic transfer to a premium account with monthly payments and no correspondence. I also believe I cancelled my account as soon as I signed up, only for it to be rolled into a premium account regardless.

Request for refund submitted to customer service, but knocked back claiming terms & conditions as reviewed elsewhere.

The idea of a trading hub that connects you to useful companies you won't have heard of seems sensible but the reality is that it was a waste of my time and money.
I spoke to several companies, none of whom could make the product I was looking for except one. So I decided to go and visit them to have a face to face meeting before placing my order.
They were listed as being in central London but when I asked to go and see them they said they were in some backwater in Africa I've never heard of.
When I asked them why they were described as being in London they said 'We relocated'.
Bull.

I was offered a discounted monthly rate to subscribe to Sewport but like SO many other reviewers on here I had no idea it was going to automatically rebill at the full £18.75.
When I complained to Sewport they said that it was clearly written on their pricing page.
I asked them if it's so clearly written then why are there so many negative reviews on Trustpilot complaining that they had no idea they were about to be charged?
Unlike every other website there is no warning e mail saying 'your subscription is about to renew at full price'.

I asked if they would refund me as I hadn't used their website for weeks but they referred me to their T&C's which state 'no refunds'.
As a business owner I personally can't see the logic behind refusing to refund someone £19 knowing that they are likely to leave you a negative review, the cost of which is far higher in the long run.
Your reputation is everything, isn't it?

My advice? Don't waste your money.

Cue the stock response from Sewport below....
