Seems to be very pushy sales tactics

Seems to be very pushy sales tactics. If you dont reply they just keep emailing!

"called the office a few times and followed up with email trying to speak to you about the ShareFile account. Typically, when I do not hear back from a client it is because they are no longer interested or have other priorities. Are you ok with me closing your file?" ...... didn't call me once!

Told them to close the account..... bet thats not the last email from them pressuring to keep account open! Despite free trial ending months ago!!!

I used to love them

I used to love them.

They somehow worsen every single time they update a thing. whenever they add "a new thing", it's just a worse and glitchy version of what we already had.

I'm tired of finding way arounds and fixing my system. I believe their new designers do not know what they are doing. At least leave the systems that are working properly be! No! They are determined to break everything until there is nothing left to break.

Definitely stay away!

Needs improvements

Needs improvements, after being bought out by Progress Software Corporation. I have been a business customer since 2013. I use the ShareFile folder sync for engagement document management and the ShareFile Gmail add-on to embed upload and download links. The features have worked great for me for over a decade. Recently, they added a project area where you can request client documents and archive files within projects. The idea is great and I upgraded in order to access this functionality. However the files within the project area do not have bi-directional sync to the folder file repository, so for me it's useless. If I save Sam Client's file to Sam Client's project, It won't sync to my Sam Client folder in ShareFile. Its like these are two different databases. And any documents saved to the Project area would need to be copied over to where I save files if I want a folder tree I can backup. Weird. I called to cancel my Premium upgrade, and was told I can't go back down to the Advanced Plan until my next renewal. I wrote customer support with questions about the file sync, and it took them 5 days to reply. Their answer was, "It is regrettable that we were unable to meet your requirements". I'm looking for an alternative, only because I really need a client portal and I'm out $$ without a good solution with ShareFile.

Terrible customer service

We've been trying to renegotiate our user count prior to renewal to downgrade (even though nowhere on their admin site it says auto-renewal like most other applications), and after receiving the quote, we emailed back for confirmation on the refund for the difference of users and concern for double payment, but there was no reply. We then get hit with the new invoice that renews our subscription. When I call to cancel, they won't let you, and you are forced to pay the full year (in our case). Hard to understand their reps based in India, and no real support to work on the bill or cancel it out. We are only a month in, and they won't help at all.

Extremely unreliable with potential of loss of data

At first the product looked good. They added good features so quickly without improving the overall system capacity.
We are a busy tax firm.
Right before the deadlines, system was so under performing that it crippled us. Just after a year we have to go through another expensive process of migration.
You cannot even get to download your data. For our 35GB data, their system allowed us only limited download speed. Showing 20+ hours.
It does not here, when we dowloded files folder by folder, paying staff for 3 business days, the files were corrupt. They didn't open!!!
I would never recommend this product to anyone. Not a reliable product at all.

Sharefile added licenses without consent

Sharefile added licenses to my renewal without my authorization. I've been trying for two months for them to take responsibility and refund my money. I keep getting directed to rude and unhelpful sales reps who don't seem to have the authority to fix the problem. I'm beyond frustrated with my Sharefile experience.

Unsatisfactory customer service

Enjoyed using the software but had issues when trying to cancel, they stopped billing us, then billed us for another year out of the blue and refused a refund, we opened a support case with them where they told us it is their policy they cannot refund an annual subscription at any point through the year. Very poor customer service but the product was useful for us.

DO NOT USE ShareFile / Citrix

Absolutely horrible program, even worse customer service, they take duplicate payments, issue invoices with no information on what period it covers and there is no one to speak to.

Don't use FileShare (Citrix)!

Product didn't work as expected (doesn't retain metadata when migrating files) and haven't used it at all yet company won't release us from our contract. We're a small company and have asked for leniency to release us from the contract but to no avail. Avoid!

It is used by our financial advisors. Forgot password -made a new one. Old password did not meet criteria 8 characters one upper one lower numbers etc. waited an hour and went to log in---too many logins wait 15 minutes went to citrix support and got chatbot had to select problem area but it was greyed out unable to type anything gave up and left----hopeless software!!!!

Shocking customer service

The product, as a file storage/sharing platform, is OK but the support is truly appallingly bad. Although it is Citrix branded, Sharefile support is separate and email or chat only. Emails, nine times out of ten, get no response which is infuriating when you have spent a long time explaining the problem. Billing is problematic, and it is extremely difficult to talk to anyone about issues - such as them losing several months worth of payments. Look elsewhere.

Constantly losing our files!

Constantly losing our files! Crashing at least once every few months! Constantly losing work and saves not modifying the files! I've never worked with such a horrible product in my life!!!!!
I'm right there with the others that say their customer tech support is pathetic. They "temporarily" archived my case before confirming resolution and when I tried to get them to un-archive my ticket they never responded! Our company needs to ditch these guys big time!

When the product works it works quite…

When the product works it works quite smoothly. In the case you need to raise a case, the customer support is absolutely ridiculous. Based on severity of your case depends on how often it is looked out. So, a Sev 3 will be looked out every 3 working days. The initial contact is to get basic information. You provide this, and 3 working days later you will be asked for more information. The last case I requested to be escalated at least 3 times before it was. If you call support expect long hold times. I would never recommend ShareFile to any business, nor Citrix simply due to the lack of customer support. I have an escalated case which I raised nearly one month ago, still no progress.

This is a horrible application

This is a horrible application. My work uses it but I wish we used something else. It is one of those applications that just makes doing things so difficult. Not only is it slow, it has limited functionality and very few options. The design is like something out the 90's back when dial-up was a thing. One of the things I use it for the most is to run reports and it can barely do that. It often crashes if there is too much information in the report. There are only a handful of reports it can run and even then, they take a long time to download. I could go on and on. It's awful.

but why.

there's a reason it's only used by governments and other institutions controlled by people of 50 years and older. it uses the same encryption standard as literally any proper file sharing program but it's absolutely hot garbage. (and better at business to business marketing i guess)

government employee says i need to "make a account" by "asking a new password". like, alrighty then, that's new. but this pile of {censored} keeps sending the mail link a hour later and then says it's overdue when i finally click it. next {censored}level.

now let's see how fast google drive is. I'll tell ya. 3 {censored} seconds. if you genuinely think this is a good service to force people to use, uninstall your computer. now throw it in the {censored} trash. and hire someone under 30.

Decent Product, Terrible Customer Service

We use this product in the place where I work as a system administrator. the product works fine for the most part (although the updates always require admin permission to run which I could live without) . However, if you even need to get support for issues, or heaven forbid, simply add more paid licences to your account, be prepared for weeks of run around and hoop-jumping. For one of the pricier services on the market for this type of product, I think this is unacceptable.
