I was in search for a specific style wedding gown and found the perfect one on Shonajoy's webpage. LA LUNE HIGH COWL OPEN BACK GOWN was discounted from 650€ to 190€. Of course the 1-star reviews made me a alert so I went through the terms&conditions a couple of times. You can't return the discount items. So I ordered the dress size bigger than I normally would, giving me the opportunity to resize if needed. And to my surprise, I got this absolutely amazing, good-quality gown that matches my body PERFECTLY! The fabric is soft and heavy so it drapes reallly nice, seams are straight, lining is great, the dress has wires on the sides to help keep better shape. With express delivery, it arrived in only 4 days. What an absolute dream dress, can't wait to wear it to my wedding!

Agree with previous comments- the return process is horrible and you cannot return items on sale.
Also items on Sale page will be even more reduced in mid March, so I would not recommend buying anything from there before the real sale, if you still want to buy this brand with such a bad service.

They are poor in replying to emails, leading to my missing the 14 day return( I was unable to complete the exchange, I enquired for assistance, no reply). Was that intentional?
The shipping fee is also outrageous!! They have a warehouse in GA, so why so costly? Not worth the hassles to purchase from this company, unless through a company carrying their dresses in the US!!

Although customer service response is very delayed, I did receive a reply. They came through in honoring their return policy. My issue will be rectified!

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, purchasing through David Jones with no issues. This was my first and last time buying directly online.
I purchased a dress during Black Friday - that was not a final sale item. When I tried to return it, I was told refunds weren’t allowed and that I had to exchange it instead. I did so in good faith, trying to find the right dress for my engagement celebration.
When the exchanged dress didn’t work, I was told I had no option at all because it was marked as final sale even though the original item was not final sale and is now being sold again at full price.
Customer service showed zero flexibility, zero accountability, and zero interest in resolving the situation. Every response was a copy-paste of policy, with no consideration of fairness or customer experience.
For a brand at this price point, the online service is shockingly poor. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in the brand.
Save yourself the stress. If you’re thinking of buying online, don’t.

This is my first ever review, I have never bothered to do one before but I am so annoyed and angry and have to warn others!!
What sort of company refuses refunds and only offers store credit??? And only if you spend £80 returning the parcel back to Australia?? That’s half the price of the item what a joke. Am stuck with a dress that is not only poor quality but also was advertised the wrong colour - the photographed item on the website and the actual dress are wildly different. I will never buy from here again and will warn other UK buyers to AVOID

As for their customer service, it was just as disappointing. I submitted an enquiry about a return and never received a response. I then tried their online chat — waited for an hour, and someone appeared only one minute before closing. As soon as I replied, the chat automatically switched to “offline.” When I finally got through, I was told “policy is policy” and that my circumstances
didn’t change anything.
The customer service I have received from Shona Joy has been INCREDIBLE!!
I have been dealing with Poppy who has gone out of her way multiple times to help me find the perfect dresses for some upcoming bridal events. Nothing has ever been a hassle, she is quick and detailed with her responses and all of the dresses I have received to try on have been stunning!!
I highly recommend Shona Joy, particularly because of their wonderful customer service :)

Costumer service is terrible. Bought clothes worth $500. Note I’ve bought my wedding dress with them and no problems at all. Any ways, I bought these items, follow the size guide and when I got them no of them fitted me. I tried to exchange but they didn’t have my size, so I tried to return and they are charging me $65 dollars for shipping even though their website says the return shipping is complementary. DO NOT BUY WITH THEM. Now I’m stuck with clothes that don’t fit me. Costumer service will gaslight you.

Poor quality dress and terrible return process! I paid £75 to return one dress!! It is not worth ordering from this brand if you’re in the UK.

I'm very excited about the dress I received from Shona Joy for an event around my upcoming wedding. I had to go through numerous returns/repurchases to land on the right size, and their customer service was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process.

Worst customer service experience of my life. Dress was incredibly poorly made and transparent, but they refused to give me a refund. Don't waste your time or money on this brand.

I had a positive experience overall with their customer service and product quality. I initially forgot to apply the 10% new customer discount, but when I reached out afterwards, their support team promptly reconciled it, which I appreciated.
The packaging was also very impressive, minimal plastic, with some paper and cloth materials, which I support. I liked that the return process was well thought out too, the packaging was reusable with a second adhesive strip included, so I could use the same packaging to return items. I also received an instant refund via an app, so didn’t have to wait for the return to be processed.
As for the products themselves, the fabric quality is quite nice, especially if you shop during sales. Overall, it was a smooth and thoughtful shopping experience.

Buyer beware. If you need to buy a Shona Joy item do so from a reputable store with good refund policies i.e. The Iconic, David Jones.

I wanted to take the time to leave a special note for Tiana who helped me with ordering my wedding dress for my destination wedding in Australia! She was so attentive to my questions and answered each one in detail then proceeded in extending the return policy for me as I would only arrive in Australia over a month later!

These reviews tell you all you need to know about Shona Joy. I just wish I’d read them before purchasing a dress which was so poorly made, and then suffering the consequences of their ludicrous Returns policy. Prepare to be ignored if you try to contact them, and when they could be bothered responding, they’ll talk to you like the silly little peasant you are….
Horrible experience. Never again.
