Back from Salzburg and buzzing with joy! What a brilliant experience this was! It ticks sooo many boxes - SUPERB coaches (professional, encouraging, patient, endlessly enthusiastic, empathetic, hilarious), delicious food both in and out of the pension (healthy, varied, nurturing, flavoursome), stunning views everywhere (singing the Sound of Music WHERE it was filmed???!!! Incredible!!).... the days were packed, singing, rehearsing, recording, performing, filming, exploring, more singing, eating & drinking. The belly laughs!
The organisation was seamless. The wonderful Cat tirelessly holding our hands with her patience and wit and Zane making sure that the engine kept chugging along so we didn't have to think about anything other than having fun.
DO GO! You won't regret a second and will come back buzzing and renewed and with a pep in your step!

For all thinking of going to Sing Eat Retreat, go, you will throughly enjoy every minute there. The singing and tutoring are just amazing. The food is elegant, healthy and delish.The retreat is a five star experience.

It exceeded all my expectations.
The villa is stunning, the food delicious and the tutors were unerringly helpful and generous with their time and knowledge.
With the palpable love for singing and music in an atmosphere of acceptance for all abilities was truly inspiring.
Whatever your abilities or experience there is something for everyone on this retreat. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Don’t think about it, just book. It will change your life!

Words are hard to find to express the experience but here goes. If you love Musical Theatre, good food and fantastic company, coupled with the opportunity to work with some of the best in the business, look no further ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I joined on my own without knowing what to expect, and came back home with 23 new friends and amazing stories to share. The staff made me feel like a part of the group from the get-go, and I enjoyed every session, meal, and karaoke night we shared during this week.

I wish I could think of more words to describe what an amazing week I’ve just had in Tarifa singing ABBA music, but the previous reviews just say it all… please read them below!
Thanks Zane, for creating this type of holiday for us singing enthusiasts - a winning combination of great vocal tuition from the theatre industry’s professionals, superb accommodation and delicious meals, beautiful views from the wonderful Spanish venue, and guaranteed fun and laughter along the way preparing for a performance in a restaurant at the end of the week.
Cat (our host) cared for us all so well; nothing was too much trouble.
We arrived as a bunch of strangers with varied singing experience, and departed having made music together, singing in harmony!

What an amazing and unique experience The Sound of Music Retreat was! Beautiful location and beautiful people. It way surpassed my expectations. We were coached by West End performers Kris Manuel and Mark Hedges, plus Leigh Stanford Thompson brought us up to scratch for the recording studio, which was awesome! We danced and sang all around the Salzburg area reenacting some of the scenes from the film, at the actual locations. It was quite an emotional experience for us. The public so enjoyed what we were doing that they were filming us and wanting to join in! This all concluded with a video on YouTube, including outtakes, which anyone can watch if you’re curious 😁
My friend even got to play Maria, which was her ambition, so you could too!
Well done Zane for your brainchild. You really have found the recipe to make dreams come true! They even looked after me when I was a bit poorly.

I flew from California to try Sing Eat Retreat. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it surpassed anything I could have imagined: a week-long intensive with practicing professional artists, CJ Johnson, Steve Moss, & Tasha Sheridan, all there to help me and 16 other hobbyist singers level up our musical ability. I walked away happily exhausted, with more confidence, and as a better singer. Cat Grant, our host, went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time, coordinating care, rides, meals, funtivities, whatever we needed. Thank you all so much. I can't wait to come back!

Just finished the Mamma Mia Retreat in Terifa and it was nothing short of excellent across the board and having flown on my own for the first time Cat and the team were really supportive and kind. I definitely will be back!!

Sing, Eat, Retreat is one of the best things I have ever done! Beautiful accommodation and setting, first class teachers, amazing food and days of laughter, learning and singing in the most supportive environment imaginable. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Cat was fantastic from the minute we arrived- warm, hilariously funny, efficient and so hardworking. CJ, Tasha and Steve were incredible teachers and the staff at the villa were wonderful!

Have just returned from the Mamma Mia retreat. What a truly wonderful and memorable experience. The Villa was fabulous with wonderful views, exceptional staff and the food was delicious and plentiful. The music and vocal coaches were incredible, giving so much encouragement to everyone with the week culminating in a flashmob performance in a busy restaurant. We had a lovely, varied group of people, most whom had not met before, but that didn't stop us from partying late into the night. What a week to remember!

Just come back from Mamma Mia - probably the most tiring week’s holiday I’ve ever had, but definitely the best! The whole experience was magic. Having three such talented and inspiring West End professionals (Steve Moss, CJ Johnson and Tasha Sheridan) showing ultimate patience and unlimited enthusiasm made for an experience I’ll never forget. Their generosity was endless, thanks to all of them. The musical content on its own would have made for a great week but it was made even better by a fantastic location, great accommodation, fantastic food and a great team behind the scenes. And if that wasn’t enough, there was Cat! From the first contact pre-booking, through to the final goodbye, she was faultless. Perfect organisation, wicked sense of humour, unbeatable lip-synching skills - and don’t believe her when she says she doesn’t sing. Just put on The Proclaimers and watch her go! Thank you Cat for making the week perfect.

A brilliant week !

Sound of music in Austria … we visited many of the iconic sites … and sang !! We were proper performers … people clapped !

Based at a lovely B&B, we fine tuned the songs under the guidance of a West End musical director, with voice & performancr coaches. We then recorded the songs in a recording studio. Film & audio being combined into a video … can’t wait to see the final result !

I was (am) a ‘car & shower’ singer, many of the other participants sing in choirs, the retreat is perfect for anyone who loves to sing.

So much fun, singing, laughing, learning …. a fabulous week !

Unforgettable Experience!

Sing Eat Retreat in Salzburg was pure magic. A week of singing iconic Sound of Music songs, coached by amazing West End pros, recording in a studio, and even being filmed — all with 25 wonderful strangers who welcomed the Irish Cailín with open arms and quickly became friends.

The setting was stunning, and the energy was warm, supportive, and joyful. Whether you’re a confident singer or just love to sing, this retreat is a dream come true. I left feeling inspired, connected, and totally uplifted. Thanks so much to Zane for having the vision and courage to start such a unique event.

Just got back from a Mamma Mia week with Sing Eat Retreat had a fabulous time , one of the best holidays. The tutors - CJ Johnson , Steve Moss & Tasha Sheridan were all incredible so patient & full of enthusiasm. Not forgetting our brilliant host Cat Grant who looked after us all do well, made sure we were where we were suppose to be, ferried us around and made sure we had everything we needed. Just returned from the Sound of Music retreat in Salzburg which is truly phenomenal and way more that I was expecting. Zane has created something truly special for singers of various abilities. Great location with the friendliest and most helpful hosts in Hallein. The production team (all from the West End) were just incredible with their ability, energy and enthusiasm, I came away having learnt so much, had an amazing time and made new friends. I have already re-booked another retreat and would highly recommend it to others. Thanks Zane and all the team xx

25 total strangers met in Halleil near Salzburg for a Sound of Music singing experience. This included vocal coaching, singing and acting some of songs to produce a short film. Yes! We walked through Salzburg dressed as nuns, or as Von Trapp family. It's the best experience I've had, making new friends, building my confidence and putting together an amazing mini sound of music film with fantastic West end directors. Highly recommend.

Wow! What an amazing experience from start to finish - hosted by the multi-talented Cat, her seamless organisation and wicked sense of humour - an absolute star! Beautiful villa, delicious food and 3 extraordinary talented singing tutors with endless patience: Steve, CJ and Tasha. 16 strangers became a really tight-knit and harmonious group of friends - a week I will never forget!

What made it so amazing though, was the team looking after us.

Cat - without a doubt, the best host you could hope for! Working so hard day and night to make everything run smoothly. From arriving to leaving, we were really well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. Cat is definitely the jewel in Sing Eat Retreat's crown. So much fun and a great backing dancer at the open mic nights!

Steve Moss - insanely talented, a brilliant Musical Director and a genuinely lovely person. With infinite patience, a great sense of humour and lots of support and kindness, he managed to get 16 strangers singing together in harmony. Also great company at the after dinner drinks.

CJ Johnson - shared her immense knowledge and skills with passion, generosity and infectious enthusiasm, giving us all the tools to be better singers and performers. She gave so much support, positivity (and hugs when needed), all the way through the Retreat.

Tasha Sheridan - gave an amazing masterclass and one-to-one tuition. I learned so much from her in a short space of time. She shared everything with the same passion, generosity and infectious enthusiasm as CJ and was super supportive with everyone.

It was such a privilege to have the opportunity to learn from Steve, CJ and Tasha at the Retreat, and to be hosted by Cat.

A fabulous week - strangers when we arrived, but a group of friends by the end!
