Whoever answered the phone was extremely unhelpful and downright rude to my sister when she called to make an enquiry.
As a previous client of Slade, I was very disappointed and won’t be using the firm again.
Is this the way they treat all their customers?

Awful, do not use. Happy to take your money but literally zero help or advice.

We had a terrible experience using Slade Legal for conveyancing when purchasing a property. For some reason a very junior member of staff was assigned to us, even though the purchase was complex due to being Grade II listed. The "Chartered Legal Executive" (not even a qualified solicitor) seemed to be determined to create problems where there were none and almost actively obstructed us in our purchase. Eventually a senior partner got involved, but it still took huge amounts of work on our part (Slade only find imaginary problems, never solutions) to finally be able to purchase our house.

For will and probate services I would give this firm a miss. Did not submit probate papers for FIVE months, which protracted an already heartbreaking situation. Would advise against using Slade in any way shape or form.

Slade Legal represented us while buying our first home. Our solicitor Kim Sutton was incredibly supportive and communicative throughout the entire process. It was a particularly complex property with land division issues and needing to go through probate, and we were very stressed about the process. We really appreciated Kim's knowledge and proactivity in guiding us through all the complexities. We felt she went above and beyond with all the support and communication that she offered, and would highly recommend Kim and Slade Legal to anyone wanting to buy or sell a property.

Attempted to arrange an appointment by phone or face to face with someone with regard to a conveyance matter and sadly Slade really let themselves down. The receptionist I spoke with was exceptionally impatient, disrespectful and downright rude. I did manage to speak later with someone more helpful but then later received a curt email declining to help at all - never managed to speak with an actual solicitor. Pretty poor and very unprofessional.
