I ordered recently from Small Pet Select Amazon and they had only sent me one box when I ordered 2 boxes. I also having issues with trying to purchase off of the Small Pet Select online site. Brian was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. He offered me a lot of advise on what I could do to help resolve both issues. I eventually got a replacement box from Amazon and I have resolved my issue with the Small Pet Select online site. With everything now sorted, both me and my bunny are very happy. To Brian and everyone else, thank you very, very much!

Excellent All-round Service from an Amazing Company .The Hay (Timothy hay 2nd Cut)is Outstanding the best I've ever had for my piggies they Love it,it's Lovely and Green and smells Fresh to.I highly recommend this company been using them for afew years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else.If I could give more stars I would do. Very Happy Customer and Piggies🙂

I have ordered several times from Small Pet Select and had signed up for the subscribe and save service. Although their orchard grass hay is of superior quality, I am extremely disappointed with their service. I was due to receive my next delivery of orchard grass hay tomorrow, Thursday 5th March 2026. I have had emails all week confirming that the subscription was auto renewing and the shipment would be delivered tomorrow. This morning, the day before my hay is due to arrive, I had another email to say that there were now delays on the orchard grass hay, and it wouldn't arrive until the end of March or early April. One of my rabbits has pasteurella and can only have orchard grass hay due to respiratory problems. Small Pet Select have not offered me any suitable hay alternatives in the meantime, and would only offer me a 20% off voucher as an apology. I should be offered a full refund due to the inconvenience this has caused, and that I've had to find an alternative company to deliver more hay as soon as possible. I was told that the delays were due to problems with shipping orchard grass hay from their American farms to the UK, but I'm furious that I had emails all week telling me the hay was coming, and yet today, the day before my shipment arrives, there are now month long delays. Also, despite signing up for the subscribe and save service which is an automated system, I had to manually approve my next shipment order, as it wasn't automatically renewing. The service of this company is appalling, and I expected more especially considering that they are much more expensive compared to other companies. I've now cancelled my subscription and found an alternative company in the UK.

Always assured a prompt, professional and caring response. Nothing is ever too much trouble with this company hence why I have remained loyal for 6 years. Fantastic products which are genuinely thoroughly enjoyed. Give them a try you won't look back, my piggies are thriving and so happy thanks to using Smallpetselect

I always buy my bun Badger's Orchard Hay (super quality and the only one Badger will eat) from Small Pet Select with no problem. Unfortunately, this time the usually reliable DPD failed to deliver it (twice!). Brian from Small Pet Select was an absolute rock star - he organized a replacement box and then was in constant contact with DPD to ensure it was delivered to me which it was today, along with some free treats for my bun. Badger and I are so grateful to him, he really went above and beyond for us - thank you, Brian!

I have been ordering hay from Small per select for years now and it's best quality I've ever seen. My bunnies absolutely love it! I've recently had a delivery issue which they have sorted really quickly and without fuss. They are a great company and you can't go wrong with any of their products.

Always been so helpful when delivery drivers have let me down. My pets love theor hay, so its stressful when deliveries dont live up to small pet select standards. Small.pet select have always dealt promptly with enquiries in fact other companies should learn from their excellent customer service

I had been buying all my guinea pigs hay and pellets from Small Pet Select this year. It is very expensive, however I was willing to pay for the quality.

My guinea pigs favourite hay was the orchard hay. It was lovely and green, and just like dried blades of grass. They ate all I gave them everyday. And the plus for me was it didn't make my throat sore, or nose run like most hay. So, because the pigs loved it, and went through so much, I decided to buy a big box (22.5kg) as it would actually save me money.

Unfortunately the quality was not the same as usual, it was hard, if bent it cracked (more like timmy hay), and it was also extremely dusty. You can't touch it without having a handful of dust. The guinea pigs wouldn't touch it. I contacted SPS and said the quality was not up to the usual standard. I was told well it was hay, a natural product, so I can't expect it to be the same each time..... and dust is normal. This wasn't a small amount of dust, it is excessive. And when I have spent nearly £100 on a box of hay, I do expect it to be perfect!

I was told if I wanted to send it back I had to take it to a depot..... it weighs 22.5kg, I'm 60, disabled and don't drive! I told them that, and a different person said they could send me 4kg out as an apology if wanted. Not good enough, so sorry, my pigs will go back to meadow hay and Heygates Rabbits Choice pellets.

I have been a customer with SPS for a number of years now, and without any hesitation can recommend them for the following reasons.

I have had guinea pigs for over 4 decades now, used various companies for hay, but SPS deliver on quality and variety every single time. You get out of your furbabies what you put in, and I am stickler for good, clean, little dust hay, in short am very hard to please, because my pigs are not just pets, they are my therapy pets, due to chronic illness, they literally get me up every day, and never fail to make me giggle. In all these years, I have only had two pigs with dental disease, and none with bladder stones, the two most common issues that can be prevalent in guinea pigs, for teeth good quality hay is a must, and we here in the UK simply cannot grow decent hay (bar one company I know of), and I should know, married to a retired farmer!

Over the last couple of days, I had to contact SPS as the courier failed to deliver my order over 4 days, Brian was on it, kept me posted, and arranged for another delivery with different courier so I did not run out of hay, crucial as the blend I ordered is a favourite of a piggy who is ultra picky, so this hay is his staple.

Superb customer service, as ever, and my custom is richly deserved, in this current climate, sloppy service is not acceptable, but not a concern with SPS, good quality hay, excellent service, win win all round. Well done SPS and thank you.

Great products, wide range of selection and prices. Good quality items. Always has quick delivery with clear updates on how orders are progressing. Whenever I have had a query, I’ve always had a quick response. Would definitely recommend Small Pet Select.

I have used this company for just over a year and have never had reason to complain.
My latest box of Orchard Hay was definitely not the standard I would expect.
After emailing them with my concerns and sending some images the matter was dealt with quickly and efficiently.
A replacement box was issued and concern and advice expressed for my guinea pigs.

I ordered a box of 2nd Cut Timothy Hay for my two precious bunnies, Woodstock and Mockingjay. I’ve had other brands that they really didn’t care for. I received my box and was blown away with the quality and freshness of the hay. It was green and soft and smelled good.

I gave the bunnies some and they ate it up. It’s the only brand I will order. Their customer service was exceptional. I had an issue not related to them and they tried to rectify it. Order this hay, from this company and you will not be disappointed and your littles will thank you.

Here at Sians Guinea pig rescue we love all the products from the bedding to the lovely green hay. The residents here love the treats especially the pea flakes they are a must have favourite. The delivery is very quick normally next day. Big thanks to James for all his help and support
