Ordered glasses while in India via their Indian website, for speedy delivery. Several weeks later I was contacted by a carrier seeking personal information, including passport. SmartBuyGlasses confirmed the agent was genuine. Several more weeks passed and no progress. I contacted my credit card company and got a refund.

This was one of the last places on Earth to buy these sunglasses. I'm so grateful they had a pair, since I think they've been discontinued.

Disappointing, I ordered a reglaze service for my existing frames and submitted my new prescription, it took over a week before a collection was arranged for my frames and which then didn’t happen.

When I contacted support I was told I could post them myself, the company is not based in Ireland despite having a .ie website, they are based in Italy.

I was then told my order would take 4 weeks ( plus the one week I’d already waited) which contradicts their website stating around 10-12 days from start to finish.

I’ve requested a refund. Will update accordingly if I receive my money back.

A really disappointing situation as I needed new glasses before starting college and have wasted a week to get nowhere.

Paid for 4 working day shipping. Nothing after 7working days. Support just tell you they are looking into it, they never come back. Then when I try to cancel the order because I ordered the same pair from Edel Optics which come in 2 working days, all of a sudden the team can contact the courier and delivery is imminent. Avoid avoid avoid

Smartbuyglasses have replied to me saying that they will send a refund to me now let's see if they do that

Great product great service much better than the high street opticians

The paint on the glasses I bought started to flake off after about a two weeks. It was there own brand glasses. I asked for a refund and they asked me to send pictures of the glasses and they approved the refund. And offered free returns.

They are very slow processing the return. The return was delivered three weeks ago and I haven't got any money back yet. This is quite unusual as company usually give refunds in 10 business days. I am doubting if I'll get my money back at this stage.

Update: Smartbuyglasses got in touch and offer me a refund.

I have to say support was quite pleasant to deal with.

Re-review , my frame cracked so I tried to buy only frame but I couldn't I got in touch with customer service and I was kindly informed that I still have guarantee (that I didn't realise) I said that I have no time to go through the process as I'm going for holidays so I can pay for only frames and I can fit lenses(from my old glasses )my self ...I received my delivery y-day 4days before my holidays 5* for the extremely fast service and I received glasses with lenses fitted . impressive speed. Doesn't happen in many places .
So for effective and fast service 5*
