Honestly the nicest chocolate ive had In Years... I loved how my bar broke.. it felt very indulgent... not really possible to just have one square which I loved... deffo not something I want to share. Love it... deffo recommend trying it, if you are sick of all the artifical crap in chocolate these days 😀

No refund

I ordered from you and received the wrong order, I emailed you and got a fairly unfriendly reply, you asked me to forward some pictures of what I received but never received an apology on that reply for your mistake. This reply took 11 business days. I sent the pictures of the wrong order you sent me, didn’t get a reply, I then had to send another email and you then did apologise after you’d seen the proof of your mistake. I wasn’t looking to return them as i had opened one of the items so that was fine, I actually thought I’d clicked the wrong order until I checked my receipt but I didn’t. . As my order was more expensive and you’d sent me a less expensive items you said I’d receive a refund for the difference.
Ive yet to receive my refund and I really don’t want to send another email, I felt like I was bothering you so I’m not sending anymore emails.

There’s no good will here, your only saying your sending my refund because I’ve written this review
Not everyone is trying to pull a fast one on you, all i wanted was what I ordered order and some decency.
Simple as that.

We take all feedback seriously, however we must clarify the position.

Your initial email was responded to within our stated timeframe as outlined on our website, which clearly advises that during busy periods response times may be extended. The response time was not 11 business days as suggested.

As part of our standard process, we requested further information and photographic evidence in order to properly investigate the matter. This is a routine step applied to all claims to ensure accuracy and fairness.

In relation to your comments regarding the tone of our response and the absence of an apology at that stage, this is because no evidence had yet been provided to confirm any error. However, our communication was professional, factual, and in line with our standard procedures. At the time of our initial reply, no evidence had been provided to confirm any error, and it would not be appropriate to accept fault or issue an apology without verification.

Upon your response, it was confirmed that the items had already been opened and consumed despite being identified as incorrect. As advised at the time, this meant the items were not eligible for return or exchange.

Notwithstanding this, and as a gesture of goodwill, we confirmed that we would refund the difference in value, which has been processed accordingly.

We do not accept the characterisation of our customer service. At all times, we have followed our procedures, responded within our stated timeframes, and provided a resolution based on the circumstances presented.

Ordered before Christmas for myself and…

Ordered before Christmas for myself and for a gift, to very honest the bars were broken and a gooey mess, I was so disappointed 😞 within the hour I had emailed them to express my disappointment with photos, but this date (12/04) no response, so no I wouldn't recommend and they wasn't cheap!

We’re sorry to read your comments, however we must clarify that we have no record of any correspondence received from you, including emails or photographs relating to this matter.

All of our products are carefully prepared and securely packaged to protect them during transit, however as stated and acknowledged at the time of ordering these are a fragile product and any potential damage caused by the courier in transit or during unboxing is beyond our control. We take all genuine customer concerns seriously and respond promptly where contact has been made through the correct channels.

Unfortunately, without any record of your order details or prior communication, we are unable to verify the authenticity of this claim or investigate it further.

At present, we are unable to substantiate the issues raised.

Great if you like salted caramel

The mallow is great. I had a biscoff pot which was really sweet but nice. The chocolate they use is good. I ordered a couple of bars with caramel in and although it's not called salted caramel, it was too salty for me. I couldn't finish either bar. I do not like salted caramel though. My son loves it and he really enjoyed the bars. The brownie in the brownie bar was quite soft and a bit mushy.

We must clarify that we do not use salted caramel in our products. Flavour profiles can be perceived differently by individuals, particularly with rich caramel and chocolate combinations, but no salted caramel is used in our recipes.

In relation to the brownie, it is intentionally made to be soft, fudgy and indulgent, as this is the style of brownie we produce. It is not designed to have a cake-like texture, and the consistency described is in line with the product as intended.

We note your comment that the bars were enjoyed by your son and that the quality of the chocolate and mallow was appreciated.

While we understand personal preferences vary, we can confirm the products received are consistent with our recipes and product descriptions.

Poor Customer Service

FURTHER FURTHER UPDATE!

Further to your edited reply - I have had to click through multiple links on your website to find your policy on photographs being sent within 24 hours! This should be easier to find - perhaps on the contact page. It's also a bit of a joke that you expect that within 24 hours but yet it takes over a week for a reply to an email!

Any Facebook comments of a positive nature are replied to no matter what it's about. To DELETE a comment that is negative is shady to say the least!

The fact of the matter is YOU HAVE STOLEN MONEY AS YOU HAVE NOT FULLY FULFILLED THE ORDER PLACED! And rather than take responsibility for YOUR ERROR you are insinuating that I would lie about the order issues!

All I have requested is that the MISSING item costing £11 is either sent or refunded (which would save you P&P) BUT NO YOU HAVE TAKEN £22 FOR ONE CHOCOLATE BAR! If that's how you want to make a profit it's a very unethical way to do so.

I'm fed up of your patronising & accusatory responses - I don't need stress whilst in RECOVERY! It's obvious NOTHING is going to be done by yourselves to rectify YOUR ERROR! To respond in the manner you have on here but IGNORE emails says a lot about the poor customer service! You obviously don't like TRUTHFUL negative feedback! As a small business especially, you should do more to be polite and rectify errors made by yourselves! Reading through reviews here there is a recurring theme of emails "not received" by yourselves - just like the one I sent on 03/03/2025 at 1711 & customers receiving no replies!

2/2 orders with terrible/no customer service! So I'll happily never place a third order and I will warn friends/family to be mindful if placing an order - will definitely not be recommending yourselves

UPDATE!!!

This company took over one week to respond to my original email requesting photos of the order and packing slip. As per my reply below this was not possible and again I NEVER got a reply. So according to the company response I don't have a genuine customer query!

Ordering online (especially post-surgery unable to leave the house) is not supposed to be a stressful experience!

This company has NOT FULFILLED this order! I am out of pocket missing part of the order!

This is the second time I have ordered from this company and the second time I have had issues with the order. I NEVER had a reply about the issue with the first order and left it BUT to have issues with a second order and be made out to be a liar and ignored is scandalous!

I would appreciate the missing Turkish delight bar being posted ASAP or a refund for this one bar. £22 is a lot to pay to only receive one bar instead of two

Received my order and emailed company later that day because it was incomplete/incorrect. Ordered TWO Turkish delight bars, only received one. Ordered a pistachio bar WITHOUT marshmallow fluff, received one with. No reply to email! Commented on a Facebook post with this issue - no reply, comment deleted instead! This is extremely poor customer service! £45 spent on an order that is missing an item and another item is wrong!

Further to your edited reply please see below taken directly from our T&C’s on our website regarding potential order issues. This link to this policy is available on every page and clearly marked on our website to find with ease. As also stated on our website social media messages are not responded to regarding orders and furthermore social media comments which verge on being harassment are removed. We also must clarify the packing slip you sent through had all items cross referenced as being included in your parcel which is our internal verification process and the reason pictures are requested. It must also be noted that we confirmed that we would rectify any potential issues when all requested information was provided which you have failed to do. These checks protect us as a business and are in line with our policies and procedures.

If your order arrives damaged or missing items, please email hello@smorealicious.com within 24 hours of receiving your delivery with photographs and details for us to consider a replacement. We do not offer refunds.

We take feedback of this nature seriously, however we must clarify the position.

We have no record of receiving the requested photographs or sufficient information required to investigate and resolve the issues raised. As previously advised, in order to rectify any potential discrepancy, we require clear supporting evidence (including images of the items received and packaging) so that the matter can be properly reviewed.

Your order was dispatched next working day as per your tracking information. It also appears the package has been lost in transit by Royal Mail, however after checking it would appear you have been issued a full refund by TikTok.

Please be advised courier issues are completely beyond our control and it is advisable to contact Royal Mail using your tracking number if there is a delay with delivery. However as you have been issued a full refund by TikTok before contacting us regarding this I'm not entirely sure what you are not happy about with us as this is a fault of Royal Mail.

We would request that this misleading review be either removed or updated to reflect the fact that the parcel was actually lost by the courier and you have received a full refund prior to actually contacting us and leaving this review. What you have stated is not factual or reflective of our business or the circumstances and it is extremely disappointing you have felt the need to leave this due to something which is beyond our control and you did not contact us about sooner.

Broken bars

When I order my bars , they arrived broken so when I tried to get a replacement I was shut down straight away the costumer service was appalling ,so I had to go through tiktok which was very straight forward

We take customer feedback seriously, however this review does not accurately reflect the events of this order.

The item you referred to as “broken” was a FREE bar that was clearly disclosed at the time of purchase as damaged when it was included with your order at NO extra charge. This was communicated at the time it was ordered. However this item was still fit for purpose and able to be enjoyed.

For clarity, our bars are fragile by nature, and any possibility of minor cosmetic damage during transit is fully disclosed on our product listings and accepted as a condition of sale. Whilst we wrap and pack orders extremely well for delivery damage caused by the courier in transit is fully beyond our control. This does not affect the product’s intended purpose or quality.

You contacted us to say the free bar was broken, and we responded to your email. Unfortunately, we did not receive any further reply from you.

Instead, a TikTok dispute was opened for the entire order, using the free damaged bar as evidence in an attempt to obtain a refund for the full purchase. TikTok initially issued a refund; however, when we raised the case and provided the full order details, TikTok reviewed the evidence and ruled in our favour, confirming that the claim had been made based on misleading information.

We always aim to provide fair and honest customer service, and we stand by our response in this situation.

We are always happy to resolve genuine issues with purchased products, but we also believe it is important that reviews reflect the full and accurate context of what occurred.
