Had to chase support, no accountability for missing package

Ordered from Snackje and this turned into a very frustrating experience.

My package was marked as delivered by DPD, but it never showed up in the parcel locker or anywhere nearby. It was most likely stolen due to a bad / unsafe delivery.

Customer service responded quickly at first, but after I replied, they simply stopped responding. I had to send a follow-up myself after 8 days just to get any update at all.

When they finally answered, there was no apology for the delay. Instead, I was told to fill out a DPD form, effectively shifting the responsibility onto me, even though this is something the sender can handle directly with the courier.

At no point was a replacement or refund offered for a package that never arrived. Instead, I was expected to do extra work just to move things forward.

Losing a package can happen. Ignoring the customer and refusing to take responsibility is a choice.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

I would like to apologize for the delay in our response regarding your missing parcel. Because your tracking information shows the package as "delivered," we are required by DPD to provide a completed "Declaration of Non-Receipt" to initiate a formal claim. We wish this additional step wasn't necessary, but it is a mandatory requirement from the carrier.

We previously informed you that once we received the completed form, we would immediately resolve the issue for you. This could have been either a full refund or a reshipment. Unfortunately, you declined to fill out the form and instead expressed your intent to leave a negative review.

As you mentioned that you also work in customer service, I am sure you understand that resolving these types of issues is a collaborative process. While we strive to make things as easy as possible for our customers, we cannot bypass the carrier's claim requirements. Ultimately, as the form was declined a second time, our hands were tied.

Scam!!!

The fact is that until recently, everything was ok with this website, the person in charge was very kind and attentive to client needs, however, everything is different today. Indeed, recently, I placed an order on the website as usually, sadly, this time, having a lot of work to do, I didn’t had the time to pick up my parcel. Consequently, this one was returned to the seller. Sadly, after having contacted the seller, I encountered a big number of problems. Indeed, this one tried to avoid me and found all of the reasons to avoid to refund me for the products. So much that today, I think that I will press charges against him because I think that it’s the sole solution.

EXPIRE QUICKLY

The product is great and so was delivery. However, they need to disclose expiration dates. I ordered a bunch of cheetos, so that I would have a stock and didn't need to rebuy often. They barely last 2 months, very upset, they could have disclosed that.

THIS IS A SCAMMER STORE DON'T BUY FROM IT

The seller sent the package again and I didn't have to pay for it but it's how it supposed to be. It's not a plus it's just the least this "Karen-ish" scammer could do.

1. One chips package (Calbee french salade) and a candy (hichew mini) are missing. Most likely he didn't even bother to notify me about those being not in stock, hoping I won't notice since my order is relatively a big one.

2. This was supposed to be a present for my frined but most of the items are just crumpled and crushed (basically all of the drink cans), chips are obviously turned into oily dust, candies like Calpis Marshmallow are squished. The seller didn't even bother to check the package again and replace items with new ones.

3. He was passively aggressive during our conversation. A typical scammer behaviour. I realised that something's off. Should've just ask for a refund. You don't talk to your customers like that, kiddo, go learn some manners, in Japan you would be kicked out a long time ago, trust me, they don't tolerate this Karen bs over there.

Seriously what's wrong with service in Europe? Sellers only worry about someone leaving a bad review because of their poor work. Hope this store won't last long and go eventually bankrupt. Highly recommend to buy directly from your local Asian store or from stores based in Japan. Don't buy from this scammer store.

I see that you have updated your review, this is our part of the story:

Your first shipment of you order was not available at the selected parcel point, because it was closed. You emailed us about this on Saturday 06/09/2025. You filled out the contact form 14 times within a timespan of 15 minutes. As we do not work on the weekend, I responded to you on Monday 08/09 11:08.

In our email conversation, I let you know that the parcel should have been at another parcel point (according to the proof of delivery from DPD). You checked the parcel point, but unfortunately your parcel was not there. You told me this information in 5 similar emails. After which I have told you to please only send one response, as multiple similar emails will delay our response (email will be send back to the line).

On 09/09 DPD did send back your parcel to us. I have asked you if you wanted the parcel to be reshipped with GLS and you agreed that that would be fine. We reshipped it with GLS on 12/09.

You collected the parcel on 15/09 from the GLS ParcelLocker.

Today you have emailed us 5 times with the following email: "A small update regarding my order

Fucking scammer I hope you will choke on your greed. I bet you didn't even bother to update an address while resending that shitty order. Should've just ask for a refund ffs. I really wish all the worst possible upon you and your loved ones. You deserve it hun. Just go hang yourself cumdumpster "

You talk about 'go learn some manners' in your review, not sure who should learn some manners first ;)

If you would have emailed us in a normal way today, we would have solved it for you. We always solve these issues for our customers (you can check our 1600+ 5-star reviews on Trustpilot and TrustedShops), as a good company should always do.
