The lending tree agent I dealt with was dishonest and misleading (to put it politely). Mr. Jeziel Rodriguez quoted me a $50,000 line of credit at 2.54%. I told him I only needed $6000. When he finished I had $50,000 at 57.5%. Thankfully the lender was honest. I cancelled the loan immediately, with no further issues.

I asked what the interest rate was, I recieved and email stating it was 4.83% for the monthly payment..... The fact that it was 58% apy was very carefully avoided until I was about to sign the final paperwork. The 4.83% was the monthly minimum payment for whatever balance of the line of credit was outstanding that month. That minimum payment does not apply to the principle balance.
