I’m a big fan of Scott and his store and really feel bad reading the negative reviews here - though I confess the pain can often be very real.

The store has one of the most comprehensive LP catalogues in the UK and Scott really does have a passion for what he sells. He knows the music and he understands the hardware. I know this because, despite being busy, Scott has corresponded with me several times over email - albeit in cryptic or even laconic messages.

I have now placed a lot of orders spanning several months and I have experienced both super-promptness as well as the hugely-delayed. Overall, there have been more super-prompt fulfillments than the delays, but of late, the delays seem to be the norm. This is likely due to Covid-19 which includes not just delays in transit but also delays being experienced by the manufacturers, or their print runs which do not seem to be enough for global demand for LPs, which is rapidly rising.

There has never been a problem with the quality of packaging - I would go so far as to say that it is outstanding. I have always received notification of shipment and the orders arrive within 2-3 days of the notification - sometimes even within a day. The seller is very genuine and will *not* scam you.

The problem is really down to communication. I think customers might be happy to wait longer periods for items provided there were some way of knowing the reasons for the delay. It is harder for people to understand how items that are ostensibly in stock do not reach them in a few days. Or for items to come in to - and then go out of - stock, without receiving shipment. There are probably many reasons why this might happen, but to the customer who does not know, it does not matter.

Overall, if you don’t care too much about *when* stuff reaches you, so long as it does, buy without fear. Scott is not trying to be Amazon, I think he is just a guy (and I think it is only one guy 95% of the time!) trying to sell some music and gear.

Do not buy from this pathetic site absolutely disgraceful. I received a delivery of vinyl and the packaging was nothing but his rubbish, his answer to this (my shredder wasn’t working) !!I returned a scratched and warped record on 17 Feb that he agreed to replace and it’s now 24-04-21 and I haven’t received any correspondence from him and he doesn’t answer the phone, the worst shopping experience you will ever encounter avoid like the plague. I have photos to back up this statement.AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I ordered a Vinyl from them which took 3 weeks to arrive so cant really say anything bad really.

However if they improve on communication that would help. Didn't get any notification the order was shipped for example, just little things to stream line the order process a bit. Having said that, I probably use them again.

I purchased an item from this supplier at the beginning of March 2021. The communications are awful and the supplier was just saying that he was shipping "this week" for several weeks. He's rude and appears to be a scam. I had to open a case with my bank and now I am waiting on their resolution. All I know for sure is that the item was never sent and I will never order anything else from him. Please do not do business with this merchant. He tried to blame covid for the delay, but it does not add up. Avoid this business.

I tried ordering two limited edition vinyl LPs from Scott Nangle that were out of print but, nonetheless, listed as in-stock on his web site. So, before paying the invoices, I emailed to ask if the items were actually in stock. I received an email reply the next day in cryptic language that sounded like it had been written by a broken computer, not answering my question about whether the items were in stock. So I emailed again to clarify. The next communication I received from Scott was a rude email scolding me for writing him too many times. Ironically he never answered my question as to whether the items he had marked as in stock were actually available.

Good service, great variety of vinyl. Ordered a couple of blue note records and the first was dispatched quickly. Unfortunately, it was lost in transit somehow, however Snvinyl were promptly able to send another copy out to me which has arrived. Would use again.

Item from snvinyl now received, guess a problem with supplies from the east or EU or Covid!! Who knows, will update ratings in due course if product works an feed back accordingly

that's enough, I've been teased for four months, the seller doesn't have the goods he sells and doesn't return the money. He always postpones shipping, then says he shipped last month, but that's not true. to my request for a tracking code of the shipment does not respond; and clear the order history from my account.
Stay very, very far away from this person.

NEVER USE THIS “SUPPLIER” - the absolute worst trader online anywhere in the western world.
You will wait, you’ll wonder why doesn’t he reply; he’ll have your money for a product he does not have.

I placed an order with SN VINYL on 14 Marc 2021,
I have not received the order from despite SN VINYL stating a another would be sent. The company do not answer telephone calls and rarely respond to email when the company does reply the content is spurious and grossly inaccurate.
I have contacted my credit card company.

I've ordered a lot of records from Scott and have had no issues. The prices are usually the best you can find and as already mentioned the packaging is superb, easily the best I've experienced from online stores.

The payment system is a little clunky, but it works.

A pair of stylus have been ordered in december. And never arrived. Asking forit or a tracking, they said they will send it again. I proposed to pay for registered shipping, no need was the answer. Nothing came but words. I have received more than 50 packets till then, everything ordered arrived. Now despite many email, no answer. I doubt they are honest and true. Of course no refund. Guess what they don't accept Paypal payment but Visa, now I know why and you too, beware !

I ordered a Sony stylus and a lenco headshell, back in January 10. Still I haven’t received my purchase. And now it’s April. I have asked for my money back.

I ordered a bunch of records from Snvinyl then came on here and suddenly got very apprehensive! There was absolutely no need whatsoever. The records arrived a few days later IMMACULATELY packed. Each album was in it's own clear plastic wallet too. He has a great selection, competitively priced and I will be ordering all my albums from him in the future. His newsletter is great too. I am really impressed.

These guys are just painful to deal with. I had to return a defective item weeks ago and no sign of either a replacement or refund. Their comms are just plain awful. So now to add to the money I spent on the original defective item I’ve also added the cost of the return postage. Very frustrating as I spend on average £100 per month on my hobby and these guys looked to carry some interesting stock, but I will now avoid at all costs going forward...

I have to admit I was hesitant to use SNVinyl due to quite a lot of bad reviews but in the end I did because it appeared to be the only UK company which had a 200g Analogue Productions pressing of Dave Brubeck's Take Five album, which I really wanted to buy - and the price was reasonable. I have to report that the service I received could not be faulted. I had an email confirmation of my order plus an invoice within minutes of ordering. The album was shipped within 2 days and arrived another 2 days after that, extremely well packaged - in fact the best I have come across. I am one very satisfied customer.

Right at first I thought this is a funny way to pay but went ahead and put a order in,, it said in stock but limited amount,, any way they were not in stock but had to be ordered from the good old USA OK no problem wish I had known,, so 3 months later I get them and very well packaged and tip top condition,, all I would say is Scott is a one man band so be patient with him in answering emails (which is best way to communicate with Scott) he's a genuine person just run off his feet and let's face it covid hasn't helped with trying to source things,, would I use again yes I would and yes it might take time sometimes but that's life isn't it
I'd recommend Scott but just be patient with him and waiting for the records there's only so much one person can do in a day

Well I like everything about this guy. Now I "get" him, he's my go-to guy for Audiophile: I like the product and choice, I like the quirky way he replies to your emails in between the lines of your original, I like his quirky payment method (you place the order then get an invoice back and THEN you pay!). I love the really secure way the records are packaged and the prompt delivery within 2 days if he has it in stock. I've been told with every order when it's been sent and when it will be delivered. I am SO pleased with everything I've ordered from Scott and will use many times again. I've found it to be great and I'm now a fan!

Admittedly dec 2019 it happened but realized that I failed to leave judgment then. Ordered and paid for the vinyl records "Van Morrison - Moondance", as well
"Muddy Waters - Folk Singer" from Analogue Productions.
Both in stock when ordering and also the weeks afterwards.
Nothing happened. After two weeks, I asked what was happening. Received a reply from Alex: "shipping your order rgds"
Waited another week. Nothing happened. Got really angry. Wrote that I demand the money back otherwise I go ahead and report him for fraud as I have all the details for the payment.
The next day I received the refund. Lucky for him that he understood that it was getting serious. He is not the worst type of fraudster out there but he seems to have put in system that many customers give up their money after a month beccause of the hassle. He should have been banned from trading several years ago.

After placing an order and then reading reviews here I started to panic that I had been scammed, I had ordered a tonearm replacement for my turntable and emailed the store to check where my order was and when I could expect it - admittedly I was a bit frustrated to discover that the "in stock" description on the website is not actually correct (reason for the 4/5 stars). As suggested by others they do not seem to hold any stock in house, but rather order as required from suppliers.

That said Scott was pretty honest about this in emails, and said deliveries from suppliers had been a lot slower because of the delays on imports and effects of covid.

A few weeks late the item did arrive and is working perfectly. With the likes of Amazon I think we have become a bit impatient - expecting items on our doorstep as soon as we click pay, but my experience of Scott Nangle Audio was not a "scammer" but an independent business with a good specialist knowledge and contacts, because they managed to procure an item I have been struggling to get for months (out of stock absolutely everywhere and the official supplier not contactable)

Would definitely use again.
