What an incredible trip!!

Our family recently went on a WW2 Reunion Trip to commemorate the brave men that fought for our freedom in France, and to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Matt and Stu from SOE Expeditions went above and beyond to make this highly emotional trip the most incredible experience. These guys are the ultimate professional's, with a friendly and approachable ‘can do’ attitude.. nothing was too much trouble and every day ran like clockwork. We look forward to future trips and would highly recommend!! Absolutely AMAZING!!!

My adventure in Crete to follow the route of the abduction of General Kreipe was quite the best trip I had ever done. Our local guide Manolis and driver/chef Iraklis looked after us extremely well. The hiking was reasonably challenging in places but I always felt safe in Manolis’s care, he knows the route and the history, and every shepherd and cafe owner on the route. I came back home refreshed and inspired to undertake some more expeditions.

Absorbing week trekking over the spine of Crete following the route of the British abductors of the German commander 80 years ago. Manilos was a peerless guide and, together with Irakles who was a very competent and relaxed driver, the pair gave us a great insight into the island, its people and its history. The Cretan welcome was uniformly warm, and I think we all very much enjoyed meeting Manilos' friends. One or two wrinkles at the UK end, but a great trip.

Crete May 2024 80th anniversary of the abduction of General Kreipe.
I had a fabulous time on this trip. I am not a dedicated military history buff but I really enjoyed following in the footsteps of a famous heist. We were guided by the excellent Manoles and Irakles - they knew the history and the trail intimately, and looked after us with infinite generosity and care. We visited all the key hideouts, camping in bothies at 1,750 metres and seeing the real Crete. We visited a number of private WW2 museums and saw all the key sites of the Battle of Crete in 1941. Thanks to Matt for organising everything so well.

After deciding to go on this SOE,trip to Norway 🇳🇴 I was a little apprehensive tbh,but Mathew cheif instructor ,made me feel at ease and I was confident I could do this trip .
It was challenging at times and pushed me well outside my comfort zone but was so rewarding as I experienced and completed a piece of history ,with an amazing team of guys that all had the same objectives.
We worked great together and I made some great friends ,I absolutely loved this trip ,and can recommend it to anyone who wants to do something a little bit special ,with a very professional organisation, looking forward to my next Adventure with SOE EXPEDITIONS...

80th anniversary telemark heroes escape route.
Fantastic experience living the same route as the WW11 telemark heroes made enjoyable with the amazing detailed planning and preparation by Matt and his team SOE Expeditions.

I wanted a bit of a challenge for the anniversary of my 50th lap of the sun in 2023 and came across SOE and the two week escape route from southern Norway to Sweden.

The expedition was impeccably planned and executed by Matt and his team in some very trying arctic conditions.

All members of the expedition were molded into a functional team that operated as a unit and thrived in the adverse conditions.

The historical aspect of the expedition and its significance to the Norwegian people and the allies overall victory in WW2 was delivered in an opt in/out style that suited all levels of interest.

If you are looking for a five star adventure with the possibility of blisters, muscle strain and fatigue look no further you have found it at SOE!

Booked an SOE expedition for my husband as an anniversary present. The team provided invaluable information throughout the process. My husband had an amazing experience and I would definitely use this team again.

A highly professional team delivering accurate historical experiences with well planned and organised expeditions. Having been on more than one trip with the SOE Team it is clear they have trips for everyone from the super fit looking for a demanding challenge in unique environments to those interested in travelling in the footsteps of those who made history whilst soaking up local customs and environments.

Being an unfit, over 50s male with no military experience i was a tad nervous when first introduced to my expedition colleagues..all fit as anything and ex UK military. I could not have been made more at home, relaxed, reassured and generally made to feel incredibly confident by their approach and demeanour. As for the expedition - was simply brilliant. A genuine challenge but not a silly one. Lots of history, gallons of it. Amazing experience with the locals, their history, their sacrifices and experiences. Great equipment, well planned and executed and i would highly recommend this to anyone seeking something out of the ordiary. Cant wait for my next one!

Absolutely amazing adventure and run like clock work by experienced outdoor enthusiasts and professional ex elite British military guides and leaders educated and proven loved experiences in hostile environments around the globe including inhospitable locations such as The Hardangavidda Plateau, Western Alps, Himalayas and the mountains of Afghanistan. You can not ask for more experience and leadership than this. The Chief Instructor, the Second-in-Command Instructor and local home grown Norwegian Guide were top notch 👍
