Got a quote from SolarPVpanelsIreland and after some research I went with them. Joe and his lads were top class to deal with. They arrived on the date arranged and installed the panels and battery Workmanship was top class. Everything done neatly Joe put the battery and control panel in my attic they even put some flooring down up there. By 4pm the job was complete Joe helped with paperwork for the grant and I had it in my bank account within the month I live in Mullingar so it was nice to use a local (enough) company I’d have to hesitation in recommending this Company

I chose Solar PV Panels Ireland for my solar install and it was an absolute joy to work with Joseph Reilly and his team who are Ballymahon, Co. Longford based.

I got a Solis hybrid 5kW inverter with 11 Jinko 430 watt N type solar panels in the end (5 on south-west roof and 6 on south-east roof), a
Dynes 5.1 kWh battery & an Eddi. I had limited roof space with velux windows so he did really well to get 11 panels on. Also they did very tidy work inside and outside my house. Controls were put in my converted attic in the end.

For anyone in the region who is in the market for panels, these guys know what they're at. They had been recommended by a friend in the first place and while I got a load of other quotes, I kept coming back to them. No regrets.

Joe and his crew did an amazing professional job. I have an electrical vehicle and it was driving my electrical bill through the roof. I recommend the zapi charger for any EV owner. It was a big step up from my dummy wall charger. It can charge purely of solar and also off the grid.
I had many quotes with guys promising the world. Joe was honest and gave realistic expectations. That is why I went with him and could not recommend any higher. Thanks.

I rarely do the reviews however I cannot find the words how happy I am with my solar panels installation. I got it done towards the end of may. 9.4 kwp and 10kwh in batteries. So far I got close to 4 mwh generation. My energy usage for the same period of time was close to 3mwh. I only had to pull 100kwh from the grid!!! Rest was exporter :) electricity bill is practically non existent and when I finally will get fit payment it should cover the bill for a few months. Installation was completed by Solar PV Panels Ireland. The quality of installation is superb, all the docs for the grant were submitted very quickly to the point that I got mine grand paid within 4 weeks of installation, Joe and the guys always answered all my queries. We live in the 3 storey house most installers didn't want to even entertain us, or just pretty much charged us an additional 1500 euro for scaffolding rental. Guys brought their own scaffolding without a charge. So far we survived two storms with zero issues or leaks. So yes I highly recommend both solar installation and the company we used.

Joe and his team were professional, knowledgeable, neat, tidy and friendly. They took the time to explain the entire process and answer any questions I had.
On installation day, the team arrived promptly on time and worked efficiently to get everything set up. They were careful to make sure that everything was installed correctly and that there was no damage to my property. Once the panels were installed, they provided me with a detailed walkthrough of the system and showed me how to monitor its performance.

I can fully recommend Joe Reilly and his team of professionals for your Solar PV installation.

I contacted Mr Reilly after sales consultations with each of two of the big brand installers.
The offering of the branded suppliers was a “package” , which was price padded with a “promotional discount”. When I sought to tweak “the package” with batteries and sufficient panels for my roof and my particular needs, the branded suppliers could then be seen to be prohibitively expensive. If you don’t do your Solar PV research, you may be “sold a pup”!

On contacting Joe Reilly, I was impressed by his engagement with my questions and his technical advice and explanations . My impression was of competence, flexibility for bespoke design; no nonsense.

Using satellite pictures and information I supplied, Mr Reilly provided an outline design for my roof and my needs. The quote listed products which could be readily confirmed as meeting high industry and consumer ratings. The final 18 panel system with 6kwh battery storage owes much to Joe Reilly steering me around , albeit gradually, in the right direction and as a direct result of his advice, I got the best possible Bang for My Buck.

Mr Reilly suggested and programmed my inverter to charge the batteries at 4am for the winter months. The result is (according to my February 2023 bill) that my consumption is 58.6% down on 6 December 2021- 6 Feb 2022, my winter consumption was at the night rate mostly (80+%) with only 8 peak units since December 2022. My accumulated electricity exports since August cancelled my December to February usage and my electricity account is in credit.

The BER report as part of the SEAI grant process caused me to change all my bulbs. Using the iPhone APP s to monitor electricity generation and water heating is fun and it allows you to chose the optimal time to run washers, dishwashers , ovens etc. It is great to have a sense of control and the ability to limit your outgoings.

Finally, Mr Reilly’s installers are the type of people you can be comfortable about having about your house and on your roof. I saw the same team operating locally in Feb 2023 as did my installation in August 2022. They are courteous , methodical professionals (who helpfully drew my attention to a roofing issue they could have ignored and remedied it at minimal expense. Mr Reilly’s team inspire confidence and that factor is worth bearing in mind.

Basically I am delighted with everything.

I can highly recommend Joe and his team. Got an installation date around 2 months in advance and they started on the very date. Quality of work is top and they left the placett very clean.
