I messed up, I should have read the reviews regarding the surround prior to wasting ~£300 on this poorly conceived surround: ferrous metal, powder coated, designed to rust and stain my porcelain balcony tiles. It's only been outside for 3 months..... Wrote to Solostove to complain, not even the courtesy of a response. How many 'L's in gullible 🙄 ? They simply don't care..... Their product description is misleading, they state 'where stainless steel craftsmanship meets the heart of your outdoor experiences. Our fire pits, camp stoves, pizza ovens, grills, and accessories are more than just durable; they're your companions for making memories......' blah blah blah. Just lies!
Solo Stove Surround - Rust / Bubbling Problem
I felt worth at least making people aware of the issues that I have experienced with the Solo stove surround. It’s clear that despite using the approved solo cover, and airing the stove by removing this on dry days it is susceptible to rust / bubbling of the powder coat. Customer service have advised that ‘While rust is unfortunately not covered under our warranty, particularly when it is cosmetic and does not impact the performance of the product, we do appreciate how this affects the overall look and your experience.’ which I personally feel is disappointing given the amount that this unit costs (they did replace the original however it has simply rusted again). Yes it still works as a table but so would a rusty table that I could have got on Gumtree for free.

I purchased the stove for a gift which was returned since the person on the receiving did not want it. The stove was returned unopened and was back at the company by 12/29/2025 as of 1/29/2026 I still not have the refund. Multiple emails and a phone was made, after speaking to customer service I was told I would have the refund within 7 days it's been over 10 days and still have not seen the refund. I asked why it takes so long and was told they are processing a lot of returns, even though the return policy states refunds will be processed 10-14 days.

Man ahnt es – keine Reaktion.
3. Januar 2026: Aufgrund ausbleibender Reaktion auf allen Kanälen habe ich den Antrag auf Käuferschutz
bei PayPal gestellt.
Am 12. Januar habe ich dann von Paypal mein Geld erstattet bekommen, da vom Verkäufer – Überraschung – keine Reaktion kam.

Just been for a drive to pick up the package they forgot to add then sent to the wrong address and told me to contact the couriers to sort out. They sent me a copy and paste ‘sorry’ when I complained. Their service is truly awful.
Wouldn't cancel order made by mistake within hours of it being placed!
Ordered an item on 10th Dec only to realise that I'd ordered the wrong product. Within 2 hours of ordering I contacted them by email to request a cancellation on the order so that I could reorder the correct item.
Surprise, surprise the answer was no, it had been despatched. This is highly unlikely and, in fact, two days later there is no tracking information, nor any indication that is has left their warehouse and on it's way to a courier.
Essentially, they have lied about despatching it just so they can secure a sale and get my money.
I do have the option of returning it, once received, but that is going to take some weeks to do and all that time they have my money and so I can't afford to place a new order until I get a refund.
The order was a Christmas gift and so a corrected order will not be able to be made until after Christmas.
Beware of this company's sharp practices and make sure you order the correct item as they will not assist once you have placed your order.

Tried to call them, you can stay on the line for hours and nobody answers.
Tried the Chat on there website, same thing.
There is so many complaints, I should have read the reviews before buying. Now I’m stuck with a stove with a huge dent and not sure if this will affect the burning. Stay away from this company.

I ordered a Bonfire and surround on Friday, but only got shipping notice for the Bonfire, so I emailed them, but no response. I then looked here and saw all the dreadful reviews and thought oh no, what have I got myself into. I shouldn’t have worried. My email was answered on the Saturday, providing tracking via UPS for both items. They arrived today (Tuesday), well packaged and perfect. I’m an engineer of 45years and know quality when I see it. Excellent build quality and good customer service.

One of the worst companies that we dealt with so beware
One of the worst companies that we have ever dealt with for an online purchase. They illegally debited our credit card twice and would not return it but luckily the credit card company stepped in a sorted it. We were promised £40 compensation but the company but we have still not received it so absolutely shocking. As for the product it’s ok but there are cheaper alternatives out there with no doubt better customer care

I am incredibly disappointed in solo stove. We have purchased multiple solo stoves and have run into an issue with our order this time around. I have called 4 times and have been promised a call back by a supervisor to help and I have heard nothing. I will never buy from them again.
No One Home: Solo Stove's Support Is a Black Hole
I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Solo Stove's customer service was so frustrating that I feel compelled to warn others.
I tried for over a week to exchange a large cover for a small one. Despite multiple emails, I received only generic, automated responses that never addressed my specific request. Their "live chat" is just a useless chatbot with no way to reach a real person, and every time I called their support line, I waited on hold for over 25 minutes without ever speaking to a representative.
Instead of helping me with a simple exchange, Solo Stove's standard messaging on their website repeatedly told me to return the item and buy a new one, making the process unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. I felt completely ignored and unsupported throughout the entire process.
If you value responsive, helpful customer service, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. My experience with Solo Stove was absolutely unacceptable.
Where did the humans go
Solo products are great, but you have to hope and pray nothing goes wrong with your order. I was sent an incorrect item, and it's impossible to get support. There is only an AI chat bot that opens a ticket for you. A human responded to my ticket after a few days requesting photos and more details. I sent everything same day, and now my case is inactive. I tried to open a new chat and case, but it's been several days with no response. I can't even request a refund. It's truly disappointing, plus I am out $100 for an item I don't want. If anyone from Solo monitors these reviews, please fix your customer support (and get me my correct product).
Lovely Clean and Safe Bonfire Stove
Fireworks weekend so got Bonfire stove set up even though raining slightly. Whole thing works brilliantly. Lit first click of BBQ lighter, then just sat and fed the fire. Really does burn clean, and so contained compared to previous garden fires. Consumed several old pine rootstocks, tree branches, and household wood waste. So Clean! no ash blown around the patio, no half burnt wood left at the edges.
Lovely to sit next to last night watching the flames. And safe too as airflow keeps outer wall cool. Swept it out with brush this morning, not enough ash to fill a dustpan, and we’re ready to go again. Thoroughly recommend.

If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased two SoloStove fireplaces by mistake because their invoicing did not send confirmation of purchase right away so I thought my purchase didn't go through. I used their "Live Chat", which isn't really live. It's AI so no real person on the other end. The bot told me someone would contact me within 48 hours. No one did. So then, I contacted them by phone and waited 45 MINUTES with no one ever answering the phone. I then used the form on their website. No one ever replied to that. Called multiple times, no one ever picks up. The I started texting and told them I was going to contact my bank stating it was fraud. FINALLY, someone answered the phone. In the meantime, it said my orders had shipped. When I spoke to someone she was able to cancel my order and texted me a screen shot of the cancellation and a message that said I would received my refund within 3-4 business days. That was on Oct 21. It's now Nov 6. I have reached out multiple times to them and to PayPal, since I paid through them. No one has issued the refund yet. PayPal is giving them until Nov 9 and then will automatically refund me. They are THE WORST company to deal with and would highly recommend not going through them directly to purchase. The most awful customer service experience I've ever had in my life and it's inexcusable.

Die Lieferung des Produktes und die Rücksendung verlief super schnell.
Leider haben auch wir die Erfahrung machen müssen, dass wir für die Rückzahlung unseres Guthabens einfach hingehalten werden mit immer der gleichen Ausrede, dass es technische Probleme bei der Auslösung des Rückzahlungsbetrages gäbe. Dies nun schon seit 5 Wochen. Es kann ja wohl nicht sein, dass eine solche Unternehmung Rückzahlungen nicht manuell ausführen können. Wir werden uns daher rechtliche Schritte überlegen.

Beware — this company is extremely fraudulent. Solo Stove continued to take money from our account even after payment was already made. We had to cancel our card and open an investigation with our bank to get the funds back. Customer service was useless — the only response we received was a redirection to their AI chat bot, with no real help or accountability. Absolutely unacceptable business practices. Be very cautious before ordering from them.
