4. Fire safety & UK compliance

To clarify for readers:
Standalone pillows are not required to carry a permanent fire safety label under UK law. The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations apply to upholstered furniture and mattresses — not pillows.

As the reviewer notes themselves, fire labelling is not regulated for pillows in the UK. The absence of a fire label therefore does not indicate a breach of Trading Standards.

5. 100-night sleep trial & refunds

Our 100-night sleep trial allows customers to use the pillow at home and still request a refund if it’s not suitable.

1. Standard returns vs. the 100-night sleep trial
Our standard returns process (unused items, inspection upon return, approval status, etc.) applies only where a physical return is possible.
The 100-night sleep trial is a separate mechanism that applies specifically to the Align Pillow™ after use. Because pillows are hygiene-sensitive items, used pillows cannot be physically returned or resold once opened.
For this reason, the sleep trial is fulfilled through a refund-based resolution rather than a physical return. This is why there is no “inspection after return” stage for used pillows, there is no return shipment to inspect.

2. What "refund-based resolution" actually means
This wording is not intended to obscure anything. It describes the process:
• Eligibility is confirmed by our team (including the minimum 7-night adjustment period)
• A partial refund is issued to account for product and fulfilment costs
• No physical return is required

Because used pillows are hygiene-sensitive items and cannot be resold or returned
to stock once opened, the trial is fulfilled through a refund rather than a physical return.
This structure exists specifically to prevent customers from having to pay return

3. Promotional pricing

This approach was already outlined in our refund policy at the time of purchase and is intended to spare customers the cost and inconvenience of returning bulky hygiene items.

Regarding packaging and branding, you received an earlier production batch. Since then, we’ve introduced fully branded packaging, clearer labelling, and additional quality checks across all shipments.

• The materials used in our Align Pillow™ are sourced from suppliers that are OEKO-TEX® and CertiPUR-US® certified. These certifications apply to the materials and foam formulations, and do not always require a physical label to be attached to each finished product.
• Your order was shipped from an earlier production batch, before our updated Somnora branding and improved labelling were introduced. Newer batches now include clearer branding and documentation.
• The pillow design intentionally uses a high-density orthopaedic foam core with a fitted protective cover, which can appear different from traditional pillows at first.
