I am paying for a residential discount. All setup and confirmed. Yet I was charged standard rates. This company is an absolute joke to then try and contact.

Resposta da Source London
Source London are a JOKE
Source London are far too expensive. The archaic infrastructure, app and customer service is appalling.
The app is great if we are in 2012, but in 2023, what are they playing at?
Idle fees galour, the incessant insistence to use plastic cards, rather than in app payments and setup is embarrassing.
They have the monopoly in London and have done nothing to improve anything. Going to stop my membership as they have had their chance.
Source London in three phrases; Money-grabbing, Out of touch, Cowboys.
ATM The Cheapest On Street Parking
I’m a London Taxi Driver and have a contract with Source London. At the moment they are the cheapest on street parking I can find, at £10.70p that is if I use the 7kw chargers. The app is fiddly but have got used it now.
Chargers showing green and available turn out to be not working and ‘down for maintenance’
Tried three Source London chargers in East Sheen, Barnes and Wandsworth all showing green and available, debit card didn’t work for PAYG and after plugging in the car the message came up Each time that the charger was not working. Very poor really
Disaster of a service
2 bays where I can charge my car.
Only 1 works.
A guy had his cable locked in the only working machine for over 30 mins though charge had finished, which ment I never was able to charge my car.
He was on hold for 30 mins before someone remotely released the cable. His daughter was late for an appointment due to this.
Few days later I went back and registered my credit card.
Machine said it was already plugged into a car. Gave up again.
Few days later I go back and am told my credit card is not assigned to an account. Yes it is!!
I give up. If Source cant have 2 machines working, there is no way they can manage the whole of London.
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service, should lose their licence.
Very difficult app to navigate
As a non member. The website is beyond bad for filling in your details on a mobile phone. I have spent 20 min trying to navigate it. In the end it still did not let me charge and so I gave up.
Appalling service not responding to…
Appalling service not responding to calls charging points not accepting card although subscription inordery.
No record of company kits address or CEO
Painfully incompetent service
Submitted an application for a resident subscription on-line and sent a copy of my parking permit. 2 months later and my application is still pending, despite sending a dozen emails with copies of my permit, raising numerous incidents via their very apologetic (but utterly useless) customer service team, and waiting for promised follow calls that never happen. No escalation or complaints process. Its a triumph of incompetence. Its more expensive than the faster ESB chargers (more than double current standard domestic rate). Life’s too short, so I’m giving up on them.

Why an earth in this day and age can’t I use my resident account with an app? I can pay PAYG (and just have, even though I have a resident account) and it’s crazy expensive in comparison to other suppliers. And they want to charge an idle fee for me using it in the middle of the night outside my home! My resident plastic card (great for the environment!) still hasn’t arrived for my resident membership. Why do I even need a card? It’s 2023! An app should be sufficient.
horrible experience, I would this company and they’re app
horrible experience, the app is not working cheaply designed, wasted 3 hours, been three different location none works and there is no customer support. payment section on app does not work better to take off the charging point from the streets if they are not working.
Commercialisation of the environmental movement at its very worst
Ludicrously complicated sequence of steps required to use the charging points on a PAYG basis. The touch screen cannot be used for PAYG as it does not accept contactless payment but merely sends you round and round in circles. Why offer illusory functionality?
Web-accessed PAYG requires you to be extremely nimble on your phone for fear of being timed out. The prompt for your credit card number invariably rejects anything cut and pasted as being in "the wrong format", which doesn't make the process any quicker. If you do get timed out, as seems likely to happen at least once (but in my case three times), you'll then find that the charging terminal you're trying to use is already "in use" (by you!), so forcing you to switch to another one. The web app doesn't store the data entered in any of the form fields so, when you start afresh, you must re-enter it all, including your confounded location. All this (in my case at least) in the pouring rain and freezing night-time temperatures. Admittedly, the telephone helpline is quite responsive and comes up with creative solutions but that is of little comfort when you are chilled to the bone.
On each refreshed attempt to buy power, a £49 "deposit" is taken from your credit card. If the attempt is aborted, the deposit is refunded immediately. If it is not aborted then the value of the power you buy is taken from the deposit and the balance refunded - albeit only after 7 - 10 working days. I mean, on what planet?? As part of these shenanigans I ended up being forced to switch to a low power terminal and then discovered that it would take 9 hours to get to 100%. I was nowhere near where I lived so I unplugged the thing after what couldn't have been more than 50p of electricity. Six days later, the company still have my £48.50 and I am requested to keep checking my bank account until that refund arrives. What a bunch of shysters.
Be warned!
A miserable way to waste 10 minutes of…
A miserable way to waste 10 minutes of your life; why do you have to fill your address, phone number and email X2 and all your card details before the machine timed out and you have to start again??!
Why no text alert when charging complete?
I have been using SourceLondon for over two years now. They are the only company that have charging facilities near my home at present. I have had one or two issues with them but a call to their customer service desk has always resulted in a fix for the problem. HOWEVER, whereas under the old charging scheme, that was only only based on time, they used to notify me by text when charging was complete under the new scheme they don't. This is poor as they should be encouraging users to disconnect asap when charging is finished so that others may use them. I mentioned this to them a year ago but nothing has been done.
Brilliant chargers if a full membership.
Brilliant chargers if you have a full membership.
I use Source London a lot, I am a service engineer around London and find these chargers cheaper than it similar cost to parking fees. In addition the ability to reserve a charger 40 mins in advance takes the stress out if finding a parking spot. Just wish more boroughs had them.
If I could give Zero or minus stars I…
If I could give Zero or minus stars I would. Used them during October 2021 while awaiting my home charger. The cost per charge was massively higher than the cost of a home charge. I was so shocked I have never used since.
PCN received because Source London cancelled charge
Started charging session on Hampstead Grove. After an hour the company send an email that they had chosen to cancel the session, without any further explanation. As a result I was issued a PCN for £130.
