In a word safe. It's hard for men to come forward in cases of domestic abuse, but when kids become involved it makes it a necessity. I was so scared with all the social stereotypes regarding men, kids, and abuse that I would never be listened to, or that my kids and me would be protected. I was scared that all an abusive wife has to do is say she is the victim and everyone comes running to help her and doesn't even listen to what the husband has to say. Men are guilty by accusation.

After just the first consultation and subsequent discussions with Rajan Thandi, I feel safe. That my kids and my voice will be heard and we will get the representation we need. I could tell right away that he is familiar with all the dirty tactics and ugliness that comes out during divorce and when the husband is the victim of abuse. He knew right away the correct course of action to take to get the truth out while minimizing the messy legal finger-pointing back and forth that only wastes time and money.

I feel lucky to have found representation like this during this difficult time for me and the kids.

Trying to find a solicitor in London is very daunting, especially when you’re new in the area. Don’t get me wrong, of course it is pretty easy - just google it and call them up. The problem is do you know what things do they deal with? how much is it going to cost? and most importantly are they any good?

Earlier today, I did the above; when Ms Anjali Shah from Southgate Solicitors return my call, I was told they don’t deal with the matter I requested. However, instead of ending the conversation, Ms Shah asked if I would like some recommendations? as she knows some solicitors who would deal with my request. I said yes please, because they are recommended by a professional.

I was so pleased with the way Ms Shah dealt with my enquiry. She was very friendly on the phone and made an extra effort to help me. True to her words, soon after our telephone conversation had ended, she emailed me a list of solicitors who would be interested in my request. For this I am very grateful, Thank you.

I haven’t needed a solicitors for many years so wasn’t very knowledgable about who to use. After a little research I chose to contact Southgate Solicitors. It was certainly the right choice. Professional and helpful from the onset. My first initial contact on the phone was with Nikita - Client Services Executive who was able to sign post me to a solicitor who could deal with my requirements. This was followed up with a useful email of what I would need to bring along to my appointment. My appointment with Chloe - solicitor was very productive and Chloe went above and beyond in talking me through the paperwork I needed addressing. Would highly recommend.
