Very happy with my purchase everything fit perfectly.
I purchased a power steering box from SP Panels for my Landrover Defender TD5. SP Panels confirmed by email that their Power Steering box was a direct replacement for the original 4 bolt box. After fitting the box the power steering fluid pipes would not reach. After much communication with SP they advised that we bend the pipes. We did but found that the ports on the box are smaller so in the end we removed and replaced the box supplied by SP Panels. I am now seeking a refund. My advice to you is shop elsewhere.
I have found nothing is too much trouble for the chaps at SP,. They promptly answer my emails and many questions I have.
Goods are invoiced and sent out promptly, I can’t fault them and thoroughly recommend.
Purchased Tinted Rear Glass Heated for High Level Brake Light and x2 Dark Tinted Quarter Lights...
1st. Issue x1 Quarter Light was SCRATCHED!?!
2nd. Issue was the Heater Element on the rear glass! It was missing/poorly formed on x3 separate lines of the element. x2 lines had poor quality sections of 6 & 8cms the 3rd. Line was of poor quality in a number of small places!?!
At £155 I felt this was unacceptable! So phoned SP and was answered by some lady that could only be described as short on words!?! I was told to send an email with photos of the issue and they would assess the situation and get back to me!?!....I informed her that I didn't care about their assessment, I wanted either the FAULTY items replaced or a REFUND!!!
Having sent an email with photos and a description of the issues I received a response telling me that it is NORMAL for Heated Glass to come with marks and the Element can change colour when TOUCHED!?! What a load of B*****ks!!! Not even close to addressing the poor quality of the element let alone any mention of the SCRATCHED Quarter Light!?!
The upshot was either keep them or send them back! Those are your 2 choices! No replacement!?!
Guess WHICH option i chose???

Later I phoned MASAI 4x4 to enquire about their Tinted Heated Rear Glass...WOW what a difference!?! Spoke to x2 very nice ladies who were both helpful and reassuring!!! Massive 4x4 might be more expensive but I have a lot more confidence in their product and after sale service!!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY WITH SP PANELS!!! BE WARNED!!!
Bought a rear safari door from these as they maintain theirs are the best and made too original spec but they are crap The door was too big to fit in the hole in the top of the hardtop The skin was fitted by a butcher and in places it had missed the door frame this making the door over size When I rang them to discuss the matter customer service had just got out of bed by the seams and was very unhelpful and didn’t want to know
I then sent pictures of the poorly made door and it was dismissed I was told it was my Land Rover that was wrong I asked how could the cut out in the hard top be wrong but he wasn’t having it and told me to return it for a refund as their doors are the best and made to original spec
All I can say is the one I received was crap and the skin was obviously fitted by an apprentice

Ho comprato due parafanghi in lamiera per il mio defender 90 del 1989. Appena arrivato il pacco come di consueto l'ho immediatamente aperto e verificato l'integrità dei pezzi. Purtroppo un pezzo era ammaccato, il che non è stato un problema appena ho visto di avere accettato la policy della spedizione in cui mi assumevo tutti i rischi. Guardando però meglio ho notato che nel montaggio fatto in maniera ridicola, gli allineamenti parlano da soli, una vite era stata montata male segnando pesantemente la lamiera. Ho controllato poi l'altro e ho notato anche che una staffa era stata saldata malissimo e si è persino staccata. Ho scritto tutto alla loro assistenza e oltre a essere stato trattato in malo modo, mi hanno persino preso in giro dicendomi che i danni causati erano stati causati dalla spedizione. Sconsiglio dunque caldamente di affidarvi a loro sia per la qualità ridicola dei prodotti che per l'incapacità e l'inaffidabilità.
Specifico che sono partito con tutta la cordialità del mondo, ma dopo essere stato tratto come un rincoglionito credo che lo sfogo fosse d'obbligo, dopo che per 10 volte sono stato preso per i fondelli, come se fossi uno sprovveduto, continuando a rispondere alle mie mail dicendo che i danni erano stati causati dallo spedizioniere. Quando una staffa saldata male ( nel pannello di dx si vede chiaramente la saldatura fatta con i piedi ed infatti si è staccata, mentre in quello di sx é stata fatta correttamente infatti era attaccata solidamente) una vite stretta male sulla lamiera, andandola a segnare pesantemente dubito possano essere stati colpa di altri. Sminuendo i danni e dicendomi "dai non sono esagerati, si possono mettere a posto prima di verniciare", oppure dicendomi che la staffa che era chiaramente saldata in origine "no la staffa non era saldata", nonostante nell'altro parafango lo fosse. Mi spiace solo non poter allegare le foto per condividere il fatto.
Ps. potevano tranquillamente fare a meno di bloccarmi in quanto gli errori si fanno una volta sola nella vita, non oserei mai ricomprare da gente così poco disponibile, affidabile e professionale

I have placed several orders with S.P. 4X4 over the last 6 months or so during my rebuild from doors to panoramic glass and wheel carriers and there service and products are second to none ! The ladies on the live chat are extremely helpful and at times go above and beyond to assist customers with there purchases and orders to the point of even searching for stock that they know is there but isn't showing on the system.
Overall exceptional services and Quality products that are well made here in the U.K. with top quality staff

Purchased galvanised doors many of times from Sp4x4 for all our rebuilds and the last 4 rebuilds have also had their galv bulkhead fitted which I wish they started making sooner as we have fitted plenty of other brands previously and these are a lot better priced and actually fitted better than some others.
We also use all new seals and glass for our rebuilds from sp too 👌

I purchased a steering box on 5th December for my RHD Land Rover 110 (1984). While the initial setup of attaching the steering box to the chassis was straightforward, issues arose when connecting the lower universal joint. Specifically:
Fitment Issues: The input shaft was 0.5mm smaller than the factory specification, indicating poor machining quality. To fit the cross with the box, we had to modify the collapsible shaft (to make it shorter), which is not an acceptable requirement for a new part.
Slack in the Steering Box: After installation, there was significant slack in the steering box, which should not occur with a new box.
On 31st December, I contacted the team at SP regarding these issues. Due to the holidays, I received a reply on 6th January, which was understandable. In the meantime, I consulted my mechanic to ensure the problem wasn’t from my end. My mechanic tested the original UJ from the car and a new one from Britpart which is a renowned Land Rover parts manufacturer, these two parts had the exact same measurements. The original one and the one from britpart both matched perfectly with the original ZF steering box but they had a lot of slack with the steering box supplied by SP.
After explaining these findings & providing proof to SP on 9th January, I was advised to purchase another lower steering joint. I expressed my concerns, as this was not disclosed in the product description, which stated “This is a direct replacement for all Adwest 4 bolts steering boxes as well as the earlier 3 Bolt and 6 Bolt steering boxes.” Had I been informed earlier, I would have purchased the joint upfront to avoid additional shipping costs, which are notably high for imports to Malta.
To resolve the issue, I asked If they could send the compatible lower steering joint for free, I would test it and, if successful, purchase a spare from them. I also tried explaining the overall costs for me to import to Malta. However, SP dismissed my request, claiming the issue stemmed from wear and tear over time, despite my mechanic’s thorough fitment testing with other universal joints and a new original steering box.
Their final email stated, “Please do not make another order from us again as we do not want your custom.” This response is unacceptable. On the same day, I attempted to contact via live chat but chats were ended upon seeing my name.
Following this, I had to hire a tow truck to tow the vehicle to my mechanic, incurring an additional €80. Despite the mechanics efforts, the box remains unsafe to use due to excessive slack, rendering the vehicle hazardous on the road. The mechanic which has been working on land rovers for the past thirty years said I still need to buy another steering box as the steering is still too loose and the play that there is was narrowed down to the new box.
Given the dangerous nature of this product and the poor customer service I have experienced, I requested a full refund for the total amount of €691.34. The steering box posed a significant safety risk on the road. The mechanic we hired specialises in Land Rover models. We were very patient with their customer service considering they took 2 weeks to communicate with us and they ended the conversation with ‘we don’t want your custom’. We tested multiple times with old and new joints, they all were within spec and they all experienced play on the input shaft of the new box from sp so the issue is 100% from the steering box supplied by SP.
I had also tried contacting PayPal to help me get my money back but the resolution they came up with was to send the parcel back to the seller, in which I had no problem with as the steering box was still unusable. However I had to pay the shipping to send it back. Resulting in more expenses from my end, which once again is unjust since they sent and confirmed that the fault is from their end. During the communication with PayPal and direct calls from us they also tend to change versions, such as when we directly call they say sorry and they will send a courier to retrieve the parcel. On the day they scheduled which was also a confirmation through email the courier was never sent, nor the shipping labels. And then they went on to tell PayPal that the courier was sent whilst we were waiting for him all day and he never showed up. On the same day the courier was ment to arrive we called them near the end of day to tell them that he has not arrived yet, and they said that we need to receive an email. 3 days later, no emails with labels and no couriers. I also called the shipping company so they provide me with more information on how it works and the lady confirmed that first I would need to receive an email with the labels, than I contact fed ex to schedule the appointment for pickup myself.
Paid €700, got €420 back, waited 3 months without a car -worst service ever. Do not recommend!
Ordered a Defender door, it arrived damaged in three places ( wish I had read some other reviews first) and such poor quality ( joints did not line up, holes in the wrong place) the body shop refused to fit it, describing it as made by a 5 year old. Tried to return it, no response to phone calls or emails. Put in a review on Ebay and they basically lied and said they told me it would nt fit. Cant imagine why I went on to buy it.... Ive sent them a picture of Anusha telling me it was the correct part. Currently got Trading Standards and Paypal look at it. In the meantime I would avoid this company and their products at all costs, they are clearly cowboys.
Customer service is very poor.
Contradicting emails say different things from different members of staff, very very poor after sales service as well, products seem pretty average . . . .

I never made such a bad experience with customer service.
I clearly showed them my problem with a part of the order and they just start ignoring it.
They put in pictures of genuine parts and send you aftermarket parts.
I would not recommend this supplier at all.
They do advertise that their body panels isn't original, but they show show pictures that should describe how they look (which is quite close).
When the parts arrive and they neither look original or as pictured, you would try to contact them and show the mistakes. They do not whatsoever care enough to actually look at the picture (or they just simply can't read the tool measurement).
Definitely do not recommend.
