Horrible

Horrible. Worse online customer service ever!! My parts were on backorder for 3 months When they finally came in stock they took another 2 months to ship out. Communication is horrible. They dont ever reply or seem to even bother reading the emails. When they finally reply its always one excuse after another. Upon the time of writing this review I still have yet to receive my items and I have requested for a full refund. If you are looking for parts for your power tool please let this place be you LAST option.

We are sorry this order has panned out the way it has. The backorders were something we had to control as this is affecting all Hitachi and Metabo items not held instock.

The delay in the shipping of the parts has come about as you live in the Caribbean and our usual Courier Royal Mail was deemed not to be suitable.

I eventually got a suitable courier to take this order, but as explained via email, they had not showed up on several occasions to collect parts, eventually they told me to take the parcel to them! which I did this morning, before we received your cancellation email.

Ref email replies

I will follow this up with the team and ensure this improves.

Again all I can do is Apologize and I'm sure the parts will arrive with you soon.

Great telephone customer service

I managed to speak with customer service assistant who was brilliant and found the correct part I was looking for and all went rather well and hassle free. Just waiting for my part to arrive as purchased. Great doing business and will most certainly return again!A***

Almost a 4 year wait.

Been waiting for Order #1000070802
Since 06/04/2022. It will be 4 years in April 2026.
I’m beginning to wonder if this is a scam Company.
They answer my Email every year and say they’re still waiting for my part to arrive.

Excellent service

I tried elsewhere with no success to get a replacement part for my, now obsolete Ryobi sander. It was only when I contacted STP that I was able to get what I needed.
Terrific service and delivered in just over a week

I was directed to this company while…

I was directed to this company while searching for a replacement part for Ryobi hoover, it has been over 3 weeks and I just keep getting emails saying waiting for stock, I have requested a refund twice, the first time I had a reply explaining there is a shortage of stock that should be in soon, I have still not had my order and have again requested a refund but now I am being ignored. Looks like I will be contacting my bank with my suspensions and hopefully get my money back.Very disappointing.

I'm sorry about this situation, on the 24th we did inform you via email that the part was on order from Germany and will be a little longer before it arrives, this is still the case, I have actually just seen your email on the 27th asking for the refund.

I'll get this sorted now, and when the hose arrives instore I'll reach out again just incase you need it. As I said in my email we are not scammers, just hard working fools replying to messages on Sunday Evenings and Friday Nights

No good turn goes unpunished. I wanted a replacement blade for my Bosch hedge trimmer. I found the item required on the Bosch website and got a price and delivery price. I then looked around and found Sparetoolparts who were only a couple of pounds dearer but seemed to be a startup in N Ireland. Phoned them to make sure they were genuine and advised the item was not in stock but would be available in 5 to 10 working days. Not in any great hurry I place the order with the shipping cost pretty much the same as Bosch at about £5. I received regular emails telling me the order was on its way until the email that said the blade had arrived with them and they wanted an extra £8.99 in postage. Initially I requested a full refund but was persuaded to part with an extra £5 as I didn’t like the idea of them being stuck with the blade and not being able to return it to Bosch. I then waited over a week for Parcel Force to deliver it. Apparently, there is something in their T&Cs about this, but I didn’t see it and couldn’t be bothered to look. All I can say is if you are going to deal with them read the T&Cs carefully. Obviously, I am unlikely to be putting any other business their way.

I was directed to this website to purchase a spare part for my Ryobi Hedge trimmer in June. Ordered on line and paid the amount shown. I did not hear anything for over 2 weeks so I messaged, James Duffin replied the part was out of stock and expected to arrive end of July. This was unacceptable so I have tried to cancel the order and require a full refund. I have not heard anything, it appears they are not answering my messages. Had I read the reviews before placing the order I would have gone elsewhere as it appears to be a common practice of taking peoples money up front and not having the items in stock.

Good product, bad waiting time!

I am not one for writing reviews, but when I do I attempt to stay as neutral as possible

To start with the positives, it's very easy to order from the site. I managed to find the parts needed for my tools fairly easily, and I can't imagine a way for it to be any easier.

The price of the parts I ordered were more than I thought, but was better than that alternative of replacing the tool itself.

Now to the not so good part...

I ordered two parts on 09/06/2025 and they finally arrived on 19/07/2025. There wasn't an indication on the site that it would take this long. It didn't say that it would have to be ordered from the supplier, which would be a good thing for the company to advertise on parts they currently do not have in stock. I am fortunate that it was not for a tool I urgently needed.

I reached out to customer service and in all fairness to them, they were sympathetic and explained as to why it would take a bit longer (as it needed to be ordered in.) I think for next time that they need to order something in, it would be a worthwhile offer from the company to send the part straight to the customer from the factory, as opposed to themselves and then on to the customer (to save on time whilst already delayed.)

I have another order which was placed on 17/06/2025 which has not been shipped or arrived yet. Again same situation on it not being listed as not in stock. Unfortunately this is for a tool which I use a fair bit, and on 21/07/2025 I still do not have this.

I also feel as if the shipping charge is too much. I paid £4.99 for two clamping flanges for an angle grinder to be delivered. For reference they are around the size of a two pound coin. They were shipped in a tiny padded letter. They label it as "Best Way" which I would not claim that Royal Mail Second Class is the Best Way.

Overall,

The waiting time wasn't great, the price was acceptable but not amazing. The customer service did respond in a timely manor. The part that came was correct and works.

DO NOT BUY WHATSAPP CALL!! IT’S A SCAM!!

On the 7th July I purchased the ‘Whatsapp Video Inspection Service’.

I have a Ryobi chainsaw which I need fixing and I was going to take it to a local dealer to fix but I thought I’d do some research. I’m trying to get better at fixing things myself and when I stumbled across this website I was looking at how much parts would be once I had my chainsaw diagnosed. At the bottom of the parts page I read “Help Diagnose / Repair your Tool -
Not sure what Is wrong with your machine or need help with the installation of a part you purchased”

Excellent!! Just what I wanted without leaving my home. Then I could purchase the bits from the website and fix my chainsaw.
2 weeks later and sporadic messaging from some chap called James Duffin, firstly trying to sell me a piece that had nothing to do with what I thought was the problem, I still have not received the WhatsApp video call I purchased. I have missed out on 2 weeks of being able to cut the firs at the back of my garden. I’m out of pocket and somewhat disgruntled that this company / person is outright denying me the product I’ve purchased.

Not sure it takes 2 weeks to arrange a video call which makes me feel this is a scam to try to sell you bits you don’t need for your machine.

Thanks for the phone call today so we can discuss this ongoing issue, as said in my email I have now refunded the order.

Although we were providing information the repair via email, I should have explained this was an alternative to the Video Call as the information would have been same.

As discussed your best way forward at this stage is to leave it into a repair shop and see if they can find a solution with maybe old parts

6 weeks to arrive

I ordered an item on May 30th. They were selling it despite not having it in stock.
I chased it a few times on email and got told they were awaiting it. It finally arrived on July 11th. Do not use this company. They should not selling items they don't have in stock.
