Absolutely excellent - don’t go anywhere else.
They made exchange and completion with an extremely difficult buyer as smooth as it could have been. Every single conversation we had left me feeling like they were totally in my corner and very sympathetic to our situation. We were lucky enough to have the services of Lorraine; she was superb.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for thorough legal advice in a friendly, courteous and utterly professional manner.

What an amazing team of professionals…
What an amazing team of professionals at Specialist Property Lawyers. Lorraine dealt with my sale and purchase and went above and beyond to conclude before Christmas and gave sound advice all the way through. Nothing was too much trouble.
Heidi Julian and Megan were also marvellous with all round assistance. Finally the legal costs were very reasonable indeed and worth every penny.

Reasonably-priced quote and an excellent service from SPL from start to finish. Most of the business was by email and phone but some post and a visit by myself to sign something that came up unexpectedly. Great to have a local company. I understand that one party in our chain had a cheap remote conveyancer in London and that was a problem for them involving several journeys to and fro.

As a first time buyer and non-UK citizen, I had many questions when I started the process and can say that I really benefited from the dedication and patience from the SPL team. I chose this firm because they were listed in my mortgage provider partners list and local to me. The service was good overall and very personalised: my conveyancer knew me by name and always got back to me in a very timely manner when I had a query or request.
They charged a bit more than my usual solicitor would, but not too much more.

Efficient cost effective conveyancing
I was initially a little sceptical at using an in house firm of solicitors as part of an all in one arrangement with agents Vickery. I cannot say thank you enough to Lorraine Down and her team. They have been so helpful and accommodating since day one! They understood very much our need and questions as first time buyer. With the first house we agreed to purchase, the seller pulled out at the very last minute nearer to the exchange. But I think overall, it was a blessing in disguise. Specialist Property Lawyers service was so valuable and value for money too. Lorraine and the team was very supportive and quickly help us with a different house. Unfortunately we then had another issue with the lender and in the end we ended up reapplying a different mortgage. Again, Lorraine was so hands-on with us.
