Issues with the £300 express option

I booked via the £300 express booking. Upon booking it, customer service was on point upon any questions I asked, but once paid, I heard nothing for a month and a bit. I had to chase them up for a few days to then find out a manager had ‘forgotten to add me to the system’ and they were looking, but due to the delay, I ended up asking them to just book a test that was put in their WhatsApp chat, which can be done for much cheaper. They did get this booked quickly after some more chasing, but still is disappointing that I bought the £300 option to have to use the cheaper option just to get one sorted in the end. Test was booked and was done in the end, but is disappointing that a lot of failures led to me having to chase up for the express option

"I am extremely frustrated with this…

"I am extremely frustrated with this company. "I paid £250 to this company on 26/01/2026 specifically for a practical test booking. It has now been 2 months and they have not booked anything or provided any updates. They are happy to take your money but completely disappear when it comes to delivering the service. Save your money. Every time I call, I get a different excuse, or worse, I’m ignored entirely. It feels like they are just holding onto my money without actually looking for a slot. This has delayed my license by months. I have requested a refund and am still waiting for a response. Highly unprofessional.

We’re really sorry to hear how frustrated you were feeling, and we completely understand why, especially given the delay in your booking.

We’d like to clarify that your booking was unfortunately not secured, but a full refund of £250 has now been issued, and we also shared confirmation with you via WhatsApp. We appreciate you confirming that the refund has been received.

We’d also like to apologise for the lack of communication during this time. This review was posted before the refund was completed, but we recognise that the experience leading up to that point was not up to our usual standard. Recently, we’ve been managing a high volume of bookings while expanding our team and training new staff, which led to some delays and missed updates — something we are actively improving.

Please be assured that at Speed Booking, we always make sure that if a booking cannot be fulfilled, customers are fully refunded.

As a gesture of goodwill, and as mentioned to you on WhatsApp, we’re more than happy to offer you the option to pay after booking confirmation on your next test to avoid any risk or inconvenience. If you’d like to give us another chance, please contact us directly and I will personally ensure your booking is handled smoothly.
